DESCRIPTION
The Lullaby of Light is a handcrafted music box gifted by Eve to her Master, Valery Noble , and her children (especially Eryx and Yvaine). Handmade from hardwood and inlaid with shimmering slivers of kyber and bronze trim, the box is small enough to fit into the palm of one hand, but within it lies a world of care, intention, and quiet love.

When attuned through the Force, the box emits a soft, ethereal lullaby composed by Eve herself during a period of reflection and healing. The melody carries no lyrics, but it sings directly to the soul, imbued with Eve’s longing to protect, to comfort, and to remind her Master of the peace she brings to others. This field gently radiates outward, helping to ease emotional unrest, especially in Force-sensitive children or those recovering from trauma.

Though not intended for battle, the box may react subtly to the presence of danger. In proximity to intense Dark Side corruption, the melody will distort, slow, or cease entirely, serving as a quiet warning. In the warmth of familial love, the box glows ever so faintly, its presence a beacon of serenity.

The Lullaby of Light is imbued with the Light Side, not only in its melody but in the craftsmanship of the music box itself. As a result, the item emits a faint, passive hum in the Force — a gentle presence that those attuned to the Light may sense even when it is dormant. However, its true effects are only fully realised when the melody is played.

The act of hearing the lullaby directly from the box activates the Force-imbued harmonics, promoting a calming, centering influence on the listener. This effect is intimately tied to the music box's natural acoustics and Force-infused construction. While it is theoretically possible to amplify the melody through an external speaker, doing so would dilute the resonance of the Force within the sound — the speaker, lacking the original imbuement, cannot carry the full weight of the effect. For this reason, the box is most effective when heard naturally and in close proximity.

A secret compartment hidden beneath the winding mechanism holds a single note, folded with care:

"For all the light you've given me when I was lost. I hope this brings it back to you whenever you need it. —Eve"

With this being a music box, but influenced by the force, Is it the act of playing it that causes this calming effect, thus allowing deaf people or sound dampening effect to not prevent the action of using this? Or is it the fact that if you can hear it, is what produces this effect in others?

Second, What if this was hooked up to a massive speaker system? would it expand the range for which this music can be interacted with? or is it just if you are close enough to the box while also hearing the music?

I would say the Force is woven into the melody, but would also be a part of the item itself. So one could in theory feel the hum of the Light within it without needing to actually play it, but the effects coming off of it would properly come when the melody is played, which would stack on top of any residual sensation from the item itself. But it would be hearing the sound it produces that above all produces its effects.

Likewise, you could in theory hook it up to a massive speaker, but I would say that it would diminish the effects due to the speaker not having that imbuement itself, and rather the real benefits would only be felt when heard directly from the music box itself. Kind of like how listening to a recording of an orchestra is nowhere near the same as seeing that orchestra live, y'know. Probably a bad analogy lol.
