THE FIRST IMPRESSION
Elegant and dignified. Taller, slim, but strong. Long legs that once felt
clumsy as a child but that suit her in adulthood. Moon-white skin prone
to flushing pink in sunlight. Snub nose, full lips, angular cheeks. Piercing eyes
that are her hallmark, almost feline in their calculating appraisal and caught
somewhere between a deep blue and steely grey. A crowning glory of wheaten
blonde hair that is often wild and unruly if not restrained in some sort of braided
knot, which it usually is. Opts for practical garments conducive to movement.

THE STORY
Lucia Nox was an insolent orphan who would never amount to much, according to Madame Vlasta, who had reluctantly
taken in the wan, sullen-eyed child when she was no more than two. Lucia's young and malleable memory of her family or
the circumstances leading to her unceremonious dumping on Madame Vlasta's doorstep was wiped clean by the constant noise
and ruckus of the overcrowded children's home--a glorified orphanage--squeezed into the seediest dregs of lower Coruscant.
A waif in an ever-burdgeoning horde of children, Lucia swiftly learned survival; she scraped her way out of the bullying of those who
were older, and became a little mother for those who were younger, often stealing food from beneath the noses of the bustling
urban market vendors and stepping in the way of Madame Vlasta's unforgiving palm.
Lucia grew to become a scrappy, tomboyish child with wild blonde curls and an innately brazen sense of social justice. She was also
peculiarly gifted. Lucia's strange talents and affinities soon frightened and angered Madame Vlasta, so much that when the strange,
bearded man in dark brown robes appeared at the door and asked to take Lucia away 'to be with others like her own,' Madame
Vlasta all but threw the girl into his waiting arms. The man called himself Master Olan Venn, and he promised Lucia that she would
be at home among the Jedi at their Temple. He promised that she would train to become a Jedi, too. This should have signaled
some sort of glimmer of hope in Lucia's young heart--a fresh chance at life--but for such a singularly unwanted child, it felt like
another exchange between adult hands where she was mere currency.
Under Master Venn's gentle watch, however, Lucia blossomed. It was a slow and coaxing process, 'like pulling teeth,' Venn often
remarked, ruffling the girl's neatly plaited hair as she made every effort to squirm away. Lucia truly outdid herself, proving to be the
most difficult of padawans, skeptical and gun-shy, like a little wild animal ready to bolt at the first sign of danger or abandonment. But
the passing years were kind to her. Slowly, steadily, Lucia shed the roughness of her childhood and melted into the life for which she
was so clearly intended, donning the dignified cloak of womanhood and growing ever stronger as a Jedi. Lucia embraced both
the combative and philosophical pillars of her training, but it became clear that her strength lay in combining fighting with thinking--a
vestige of her youth as a survivalist--and in using her strength to help the powerless. As a child, she was a fighter driven by necessity;
as a woman, she was refined, ambitious, and resourceful, a leader driven only by the need to exact justice and extinguish inequity.
Those who had worked hard to gain Lucia's trust within the Jedi Temple held it closely like a badge of honor and looked upon her
budding talents with pride, but others--perhaps sensing something darker beneath her seemingly inexorable light--issued a warning:
"Your apprentice is far too passionate," They cautioned Master Venn.
"Jedi are keepers of the peace, not warriors for justice. Will this life be enough for her?"
