GENERAL INFORMATION
Lucia Blackwood was born eighteen years ago on the core world of Empress Teta, though she remembers almost none of it. Her parents relocated to Naboo when she was still a young child, seeking a quieter life amid the lakes, rolling plains, and refined culture of the Royal Naboo Republic. As a result, Lucy considers herself culturally of Naboo, despite her birthplace.
From an early age, it became apparent that she was extraordinarily gifted in the Force. Objects would move around her without conscious effort, she could sense emotions before people spoke, and her intuition bordered on precognition. When the Royal Naboo Republic evolved into the High Republic, the newly expanding Jedi Order quickly identified her potential and offered her a place among its ranks.
Lucy embraced Jedi life with remarkable dedication. She excelled academically, devouring every lesson she could find on history, diplomacy, Force theory, and galactic affairs. Instructors often described her as one of the hardest-working students of her generation. While many Padawans relied upon natural talent, Lucy believed talent was meaningless without mastery, and she spent countless hours studying long after her peers had retired for the evening.
Yet beneath her disciplined exterior lies a more complicated personality.
Lucy is ambitious, intensely so. She does not merely wish to become a Jedi Knight; she wishes to become one of the greatest Jedi of her era. That ambition drives her successes, but it also fuels less admirable traits. She can be competitive, prideful, and occasionally cruel in moments of frustration. While she genuinely believes in justice, peace, and the ideals of the High Republic, she struggles to hide her irritation toward those she considers lazy, incompetent, or intellectually beneath her.
Now eighteen years old and serving as a Padawan on Naboo, Lucia stands at a crossroads. Gifted, intelligent, and fiercely determined, she possesses all the qualities necessary to become a legendary Jedi. Whether her ambition becomes the foundation of greatness or the seed of something darker remains a question that even she cannot yet answer.

HISTORY
Lucia "Lucy" Blackwood was born in the waning years of the Galactic Alliance, though her first breaths were taken far from the idyllic lakes and green hills she would one day call home. She was born on Empress Teta, a world renowned for its industry, commerce, and ancient history. Her parents, Gareth and Helena Blackwood, were skilled engineers who had relocated there for work opportunities, but neither found much love for the world's endless factories and corporate culture.
When Lucy was barely three years old, the family moved to Naboo seeking a quieter life. The transition would define her childhood. Where Empress Teta was steel and machinery, Naboo was art and beauty. She grew up surrounded by elegant architecture, sprawling gardens, and a society that valued education, culture, and civic duty. By every measure, she flourished.
Almost immediately, signs of her Force sensitivity began to emerge.
At first they were small things. Toys would slide across rooms when she became upset. She always seemed to know who was approaching before they arrived. She would answer questions before they had been fully asked. By the time she was seven years old, her abilities had become impossible to ignore. Local scholars and Force adepts who examined her concluded that Lucy possessed one of the strongest Force connections they had encountered in years.
The foundation of the High Republic and the expansion of the Jedi Order soon provided a place for talents such as hers. At eight years old, Lucia entered the Jedi Order as a youngling. Many expected the transition from privileged Naboo childhood to monastic Jedi life to be difficult. Instead, she adapted almost immediately. The structure appealed to her. The lessons fascinated her. Most importantly, she discovered something she had always secretly desired: competition.
Lucy quickly distinguished herself from her peers.
She absorbed lessons at an alarming rate, often mastering concepts months before they were expected of her age group. Jedi history, galactic politics, Force theory, diplomacy, and ancient languages became particular passions. While other students spent their free hours socializing, Lucy spent hers buried in archives or practicing meditation techniques. Her instructors praised her intelligence and discipline, they also noted troubling tendencies.
Lucy hated failure. Not merely disliked it—hated it.
Being second-best irritated her. Being outperformed infuriated her. She rarely expressed such emotions openly, but they simmered beneath her calm exterior. While she maintained the manners expected of a Naboo noblewoman and Jedi initiate alike, she could be cuttingly sarcastic toward less capable students and privately dismissed many of her peers as unworthy of the opportunities they had been given.
At thirteen, she was selected as a Padawan, a promotion that surprised nobody. Over the next several years Lucia Blackwood served as the Padawan learner of Jedi Knight Orlon, a respected member of the Order and one of the earliest Jedi to emerge during the formation of the High Republic. Where Lucy was ambitious, driven, and often impatient, Orlon was calm, measured, and deeply content with simply serving the Force. Their relationship was often strained, but highly effective.
Orlon recognized Lucy's immense potential almost immediately. He also recognized the danger that accompanied it. Throughout her apprenticeship he pushed her toward humility, often assigning her duties she considered beneath her abilities. Humanitarian missions, agricultural disputes, educational outreach programs, and relief efforts became common assignments. Lucy frequently suspected her master was deliberately keeping her away from glory.
She was correct. Orlon believed her greatest weakness was not a lack of power, but a lack of perspective. He feared that if her ambition went unchecked, she would begin measuring her worth solely through achievement and recognition.
Despite their disagreements, Lucy grew deeply attached to him. For all his frustrating lessons and endless lectures, Orlon became the closest thing she had to a second father. He was one of the few people willing to challenge her directly, and one of even fewer whose criticism she genuinely respected.
Then, two months ago, everything changed.
Following years of service to the Republic and the Jedi Order, Knight Orlon announced his retirement. Having witnessed the successful establishment of the High Republic and trained multiple generations of Jedi, he believed his duty had been fulfilled. Rather than continue a life of endless travel and conflict, he chose to settle permanently on Naboo. Now, at eighteen years old, Lucy remains a Padawan without a master. While the Jedi Council has allowed her to continue operating under temporary supervision, her future remains uncertain. Some Masters have quietly expressed interest in taking her on as their apprentice. Others believe she is already close enough to Knighthood that assigning a new master would serve little purpose.

APPEARANCE
Lucia "Lucy" Blackwood is a remarkably beautiful young woman whose appearance reflects both her Naboo upbringing and the refined discipline of the Jedi Order. At eighteen years old, she possesses an elegant, almost aristocratic bearing that often causes strangers to mistake her for the daughter of a senator or noble house rather than a Jedi Padawan.
Her long golden-blonde hair falls in soft waves down her back, meticulously maintained despite the demanding lifestyle of a Jedi. Several carefully woven braids frame her face, a style she adopted during her apprenticeship under Knight Orlon and has retained ever since. In sunlight, her hair takes on a radiant golden sheen that contrasts beautifully against her fair complexion.
Lucy possesses striking blue eyes that immediately draw attention. Bright and expressive, they often reveal far more than she intends. When relaxed, they carry warmth and curiosity, but when focused they become sharp and piercing, reflecting the intense intelligence and ambition that define her character. Many find her gaze intimidating, not because it is hostile, but because it often feels as though she is carefully evaluating everything around her.
Her features are delicate yet refined, with high cheekbones, a straight nose, and soft lips that naturally settle into a thoughtful expression. Her beauty is undeniable, though it is enhanced by an air of confidence and self-assurance rather than simple physical attractiveness. She rarely appears flustered or uncertain, carrying herself with the quiet poise of someone accustomed to excellence.
Standing at approximately 1.68 meters tall, Lucy possesses a slender and athletic build developed through years of Jedi training. While not physically imposing, she moves with exceptional grace and precision. Every motion appears deliberate, whether she is walking through a corridor, practicing forms in a training hall, or simply standing in conversation.
Her preferred attire consists of traditional Jedi Padawan robes in shades of beige, cream, and dark brown. Unlike many Jedi, Lucy takes great pride in her appearance, ensuring her robes remain immaculate and perfectly fitted. Fine stitching and subtle embellishments along the hems hint at her Naboo sensibilities without violating Jedi expectations of modesty.
During training exercises and field operations she often wears fitted black leather gloves, a habit developed during her apprenticeship. Though practical in purpose, they have become one of her most recognizable features among fellow Padawans.
Perhaps most notable is her posture. Years under Knight Orlon instilled habits of discipline that remain evident in every interaction. She frequently stands with her hands clasped behind her back, shoulders straight, and chin slightly raised. The pose projects confidence, authority, and composure, though those who know her well understand it also serves to conceal the restless ambition constantly turning behind her calm exterior.

PERSONALITY
Lucia "Lucy" Blackwood is a woman of contradictions. To those meeting her for the first time, she appears to embody everything the High Republic wishes its Jedi to be: intelligent, disciplined, compassionate, and endlessly dedicated to self-improvement. She is articulate, well-spoken, and possesses a natural charisma that allows her to navigate social situations with ease. Whether speaking to senators, farmers, or fellow Jedi, Lucy carries herself with confidence and dignity.
Beneath that polished exterior, however, lies a far more complicated individual. Lucy is extraordinarily ambitious. She possesses an almost relentless desire to improve herself and achieve greatness. While many Jedi are content simply serving the Force, Lucy wants to excel. She studies harder than most of her peers, trains longer than required, and constantly pushes herself beyond her limits. Failure is something she takes personally, often dwelling on mistakes long after others have forgotten them.
This ambition serves as both her greatest strength and her greatest weakness.
Lucy genuinely believes in the ideals of the Jedi Order. She wishes to protect the innocent, preserve peace, and serve the Republic. Unlike many who pursue power for selfish reasons, her ambitions are rooted in a sincere desire to make a difference. Unfortunately, she often struggles to separate noble goals from personal pride. She enjoys being recognized for her accomplishments, she enjoys being right and she enjoys being the smartest person in the room perhaps a little too much.
While rarely openly cruel, Lucy possesses a sharp tongue and little patience for incompetence. She can become dismissive of those she views as lazy, irresponsible, or intellectually inferior. Her criticisms are often accurate, but not always kind. This tendency has earned her a reputation among some fellow Padawans as intimidating, arrogant, or difficult to approach. Despite this, she is far from heartless.
Lucy cares deeply for those she respects. Friends, mentors, and trusted companions quickly discover a fiercely loyal young woman beneath her competitive exterior. She will go to extraordinary lengths to protect those she considers part of her circle and rarely forgets acts of kindness or betrayal.
Perhaps her most defining trait is her curiosity. Lucy is fascinated by almost everything. History, politics, philosophy, ancient civilizations, Force theory, and galactic cultures all capture her attention. She constantly asks questions, seeks new knowledge, and challenges established assumptions. Her desire to understand the galaxy often places her at odds with more traditional Jedi who prefer simple acceptance over investigation.
The teachings of Knight Orlon left a lasting mark upon her worldview. Though she often argued with him, Lucy ultimately believes that the Jedi exist to serve others rather than rule them. She values justice, duty, and personal responsibility above nearly everything else.
Yet there remains a lingering temptation. Lucy wants to be remembered, she wants her life to matter, she wants to accomplish something so significant that future generations will speak her name with admiration. It is not a desire she often admits aloud, but it influences many of her decisions. Every success feels like a step toward that dream. Every failure feels like proof she is falling short of her potential.
At her best, Lucia Blackwood is a brilliant, courageous, and compassionate Jedi who inspires those around her to become better versions of themselves. At her worst, she can become prideful, judgmental, impatient, and obsessed with proving her worth.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
Exceptional Force Sensitivity
Lucy possesses a remarkably strong connection to the Force, even by Jedi standards. Her natural aptitude allows her to learn Force techniques quickly and grants her unusually refined perception abilities. She often senses shifts in emotions, danger, or intentions long before others become aware of them.
Brilliant Intellect
One of Lucy's greatest assets is her mind. She learns rapidly, retains information with ease, and excels at connecting seemingly unrelated pieces of information. Whether studying ancient history, political structures, diplomacy, or Force theory, she consistently performs well above average.
Discipline and Work Ethic
Unlike many naturally gifted individuals, Lucy does not rely solely on talent. She dedicates countless hours to study, meditation, and training. Her willingness to put in the work allows her to maximize her potential and often outpace peers who may possess similar abilities.
Strong Diplomatic Instincts
Raised on Naboo and educated by the Jedi, Lucy possesses excellent social awareness. She understands etiquette, politics, negotiation, and public speaking. She can navigate formal settings with ease and often serves as an effective intermediary during disputes.
Determination
Once Lucy commits to a goal, she becomes extraordinarily difficult to stop. Obstacles that would discourage others often motivate her further. She is capable of enduring significant hardship if she believes it serves a greater purpose.
Natural Leadership
People tend to look to Lucy for direction, even when she is not officially in command. Her confidence, intelligence, and ability to make decisions under pressure naturally place her in leadership roles.
Pride
Lucy genuinely believes she is exceptional—and unfortunately, she is often correct. This has fostered a powerful sense of pride that can make her resistant to criticism and slow to admit mistakes. She struggles when confronted with people who outperform her.
Impatience
She has little tolerance for inefficiency, indecision, or incompetence. This can make her a poor teacher and occasionally strains relationships with less capable individuals. She often expects others to operate at the same level she demands from herself.
Perfectionism
Lucy sets impossibly high standards for herself. Success rarely satisfies her because she immediately focuses on what could have been done better. This tendency can lead to unnecessary stress, self-criticism, and burnout.
Difficulty Letting Go
When Lucy fails, she remembers it. When someone humiliates her, she remembers it. When she loses someone important, she remembers it. She struggles to release emotional burdens and often carries them far longer than is healthy.
Ambition
Her ambition is both a strength and a weakness. Lucy wants to matter. She wants to accomplish great things and leave a lasting legacy. While noble in many respects, this desire occasionally places her at odds with the Jedi ideal of selfless service.
Overconfidence
Lucy often assumes she can solve problems through intelligence, preparation, or determination alone. This can lead her to underestimate opponents, overlook risks, or refuse assistance when she genuinely needs it.
Inexperience
For all her intelligence and training, she is still only eighteen years old. Much of her confidence comes from academic success and limited field experience. There are situations, people, and hardships she simply has not encountered yet.
