ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Elite Transport: By design, the Sith Courier excels as a hasty personal transport, with four high-performance engines and an N-CRAB-equipped class 0.5 hyperdrive.

  • Fortified: A combination of sloped composite armor, laser-reflective coating, and multi-layered shield generators offers good protection against kinetic, energy, and elemental weapons. Advanced ECM, standard countermeasures, and a chaff launcher provide coverage against additional attack vectors.

  • Inconspicuous: While sleek, the Sith Courier evokes a typical Incom profile more often associated with private pilots, helping it avoid scrutiny against inspection or sensors. As well, the sloped armor limits accurate readouts from long-range and wide-band sensors, further mitigated by sensor jammers, usually requiring advanced or close-range systems to detect the ship. A transponder mask offers additional obfuscation.
WEAKNESSES
  • Lightly Armed: Although armed, the Sith Courier doesn’t really pack a punch. The weapons are best utilized for strafing runs or limited strikes to open up an escape route. A retractable auto-turret provides deterrence against ground-based intruders, but is ineffective in space combat.

  • Exposed Engines: The four engines are very exposed and vulnerable to precision attacks. Each engine also powers the primary and backup hyperdrive, meaning the vessel cannot jump to hyperspace if all four engines are disabled or destroyed.

  • Limited Stealth: The "stealth" features on the Sith Courier are designed to safeguard it against general detection parameters only. A narrow sweep, particularly advanced technology, or close-range sensors are likely to foil some (possibly all) of the starship's countermeasures.
DESCRIPTION

Sith courier ships are not an original concept; it makes too much sense that any Sith would need reliable arrangements to travel throughout the galaxy. For the Sith Covenant, that ship manifested from a captured Incom prototype. Documents referred to it as the “Light Transport” (LT) with no further designation (“X” used as a placeholder), a starship design with roots tracing it back to the classic U-Wing.

The Sith incentivized the remaining Incom engineers on Fresia to hand-manufacture a limited run, dubbed the LT-X “Sith Courier.” Each ship comes equipped with a suite of military-grade Incom components, upgraded shield generators, improved armor, and finely tuned engines per the new requirements. The only features that remain “stock” from the prototype design are the armament and best-in-class hyperdrive, the latter of which was meant to be a key selling point for the canceled production model. The LT-X also has an onboard astromech station for operators who’d prefer to forgo a co-pilot.

But where the courier really shines is on the inside: a two-seater cockpit with comfortable seats and intuitive controls, luxurious interior lights and paneling, and a small, fully-equipped travel cabin hosting up to four (2 crew + 2 passengers). Suffice it to say, the Sith Courier is meant to be as comfortable as it is useful. Below the cabin is a modest cargo bay with a compact armory, space for a speeder bike, and a store room that can hold a month’s worth of consumables without rationing, providing the necessary means to brave wild worlds as well as urban sprawls.
