Lots of beeping

Porter was very intelligent, after all, it was a droid. The unit could understand what was going on. The ship wasn’t going anywhere. Some sort of fault with the hyperdrive, but as a unit, it wasn’t qualified and cleared to do that. Veteran droids on this ship would have to handle that. Porter and Two Bit were for small repairs. And the unit tweeted as it looked to its companion.

There were a few other astromechs, black ones, the ones part of a team, and not a companion droid to some wandering Force user, no these ones were ‘elite.’ And Porter knew that was just tone for ‘boring’ and ‘overclocked pieces of slag.’

As Two Bit rolled over, the R series droid whistled in agreement. They could play a few quick games. The ship would be flying soon anyway.

Hopefully.

Junker Pugn stood in the shadows of some cold crates and watched the freighter through the sleeve of his robe, careful not to let his eyes shine like wildlife in the night. They could not go forward past the freighter guards but they could not return to the scene of the strange cargo they had uncovered. So they waited.

A little time later one of the guards tapped on his helmet while nodding. He pointed to the rear of the freighter and shrugged demonstrably. His colleague nodded. They waited a little longer, then decided to wander around the back of the freighter, presumably to relieve their curiosity about the call. This was their chance.

Junker Pugn skipped carefully around the crates to the front of the freighter. Suddenly there were voices coming from behind them!
“You sure it is this freighter? That freighter over there looks like it has some issues.”

<< In! In! >> whispered L3P0, its Jawaese even more rapid than that spoken by Jawas. The Jawa was likely thinking the same and dashed inside the freighter. L3P0 realized the folly of running for the dead-end as soon as it had said it but the Jawa continued on his first instincts. He made straight for the droid pit.

A dull black astromech heading in the other direction made a disapproving blarting noise at Junker Pugn as he dashed past into the droid area. Two quite different atromechs were already there, a BB unit and an R2 unit. So many astromechs in this hangar! The Jawa crouched down to conceal himself just to the left of the entryway. In full view of the two droids, thought L3P0. Fine. Now it just need to convince these two droids that the Jawa belongs here…

”Hello, never mind us. We’re, just, uh. The Jawa left his, um, his Jawa juice behind. He’s come back to collect it. Don’t mind us, we won’t be long.”

The Jawa watched L3P0 as it spoke. Then, as if to highlight his complete lack of comprehension of anything written or said, he began to investigate both sides of the “Stygiu-” crate label he still had in his hand.
