Deep in the jungles of a remote planet on the far reaches of the Outer Rim was an ancient piece of Galactic history that had remained untouched for hundreds of years. It was only the rumor of a possible cache of credits as well as other unknown loot that had drawn the attention of some treasure hunters. Of course, the jungle had other plans for any who were foolish enough, and thus the remains and corpses of those who failed in retrieving the cache were scattered to the trees and dirt. News of this cache would soon reach the infamous [member="Koda Fett"] as a possible point of interest, though what he would find would likely be far more than what he would expect.

A Bounty Hunter's arsenal was never able to become out of date, predictable or in any way redundant- and whilst Fett's supply of credits weren't dwindling, or would be anytime soon, it was always a pleasure to be in possession of more. The tales of a cache hidden within a treacherous forest had indeed reached the infamous hunter, and despite the ghost stories and fearsome tales he sought it still. Perhaps being fearless did have weaknesses of it's own. Strange, that...

The Mandalorian moved throughout the jungle with a loose grip on his carbine, allowing it to swing by his waist as with each step his hands moved both back and forth. It may have been a foolish decision if not for the technology within his armour. Advanced scanners pinged for movement, sorted it by it's nature to determine hostility or not. For now, Fett was at peace as his brown eyes shifted beneath the T-Shaped Visor in order to witness the exotic flora before him.

Whatever was in that cache was bad news, but Koda just didn't know that yet.

The howl and chatter of distant creatures of the jungle could be heard. The area was alive with life as it began to rain. There was a certain air of peace yet danger at the same time. It would not be long before it became apparent that a dozen or so pairs of eyes were following the bounty hunter from the brush and shadows. The constant pelting of heavy rain on the surrounding shrubbery making everything move. The rain also masked any heat signatures in the area due to the temperature. The bounty hunter would have to rely on his own eyes and instincts to keep him in one piece or suffer the same fate as many had before him.

Not too far away, perhaps half a click would be his expected destination, an old and derelict ship that had crashed and buried itself in the mud, a wild mass of growth having developed over the hull of the ship that had been growing for centuries. It would appear that the bounty hunter would have to figure a way inside the ship once he arrived. In the meantime, a pack of feral dog-like creatures sprang at the hunter from the shadows, coming at him from several directions at once as they aimed to tear the intruder limb from limb with their razor-sharp teeth.

An ever-growing cautiousness swelled within Fett, entirely aware of the glowing eyes that lingered upon his gait. Yet he couldn't stop, couldn't allow himself to be bogged down in the dead of night with feral beasts lurking at every corner; he simply had to keep moving. That is what he did, after all. A firm grip made it's way upon the blaster, it's stock held into his shoulder as the barrel shifted about with each wandering gaze he offered the dangerous jungle. The snapping of teeth, the growl of a predator, the stampeding footsteps of a charging beast. They all became apparent within a second.

In a chaotic yet planned motion, Fett's eyes shifted rapidly beneath his helmet. Flames violently projecting themselves from the bottom of his jetpack, hoisting himself up into the air as the rain that pitter-pattered and clinked against his armour only grew in intensity. Koda's hands removed themselves from his carbine, allowing it to be caught within it's sling. The left gloved hand rushing towards the right gauntlet, pressing down on a singular button as more flames came to his aid. Fire roared from his gauntlet, sticking to everything it touched as he span in a brief two circles. Whatever beasts came his way may very well find themselves alight, if not fleeing from the sight of fire as they are so often prone to do.

The howl and barks of the feral beasts that came to feast on the bounty hunter died down as they whined in panic at the sight of flames. They would crouch low to the ground and let out low guttural growls as they tried to look for an opening but found themselves unable to reach the height of the bounty hunter. They let out snarls as they quickly retreated back into the safety of the bushes, away from the flames. Once more the jungle was filled with the sound of heavy rains and the occasional screech of birds high up in the trees, allowing for the bounty hunter to make his way towards his goal, the path littered with bones that had been picked clean, though none of the bodies seemed to indicate that they were combatants.

For now, it seemed that the way was clear for Koda to make his way towards the old crashed vessel buried deep in the mud, nearly camouflaged with its environment due to all the foliage that had been growing and embracing the metal ship with its earthen grip.

Fett's feet landing with a thud, squelching within the mixture of both soldier and liquid. The flames lingered on as the man left them behind, not offering them so much as a second glance for a high concentration of unnatural materials pinged upon his scanners. The cache, finally. The natural lights of the jungle did their best to illuminate the path, but the low-light vision of his helmet had already aided in that regard. It was unfortunate that the jungle was all too dense to land within, it would of made this journey far less tedious. In time, however, the Bounty Hunter stopped before the crashed wreckage overgrown with flora.

The man paced around the crash, taking note of it's damaged state whilst drawing conclusions as to what may be inside- if the credits were even there at all. It was a nut that couldn't be cracked, sealed tight by flammable components. The flamethrower became of use once more, projecting it's brightly coloured inferno onto the vehicle with a violent roar. A ship such as this could hold up, surely. It lasted this long, after all.

The growth on the ship had been drenched with rainwater, making it steam up as the bounty hunter attempted to burn away the foliage. It would only be a matter of time before the vines and roots that had grown over the hull became dried and then began to spark with flame, catching ablaze as it was burned away. What appeared to be a hatch into the rather large vessel half buried in the mud would be revealed, though it may take some cutting to break through, or a well-placed det pack.

The rain continued to pour over the bounty hunter as the screech of birds were heard, a mysterious air about the ship. Given the state of the ship and its design, it could be gauged that it was at least a few hundred years old, making whatever else in it ancient as well. What could the bounty hunter possibly find within its old and corroded depths?

The Bounty Hunter expected credits, perhaps some out-dated technology. Nothing out of the ordinary, despite the sneaking suspicions Fett chose to ignore.

I recognise this design.

That was never a good sign. The Mandalorian hated all things back from his time for they always reminded him of certain people, certain events, certain... feelings. Feelings one of the most feared men in the galaxy couldn't afford to feel, or so he believed. Most would find it amusing to find a man with such a harsh exterior to be filled with insecurity. Perhaps it was a good thing everyone was kept at arms length then, hmm?

An explosives expert always knew when they were required, and they were now. The right amount in the right positioning can prove fruitful rewards, whilst the slightest miscalculation can result in a catastrophic failure. In that damned war Doubles- no, Koda Fett, had witnessed it all too many times. He'd be lying to say if it didn't hurt. Though he's a changed man now, he's not that caring and compassionate individual that would die for his brothers. He was lost, plain and simple.

Koda placed himself down onto his right knee, inspecting the area of explosive insertion with a great deal of focus before ultimately reaching a conclusion. An explosive device, more common in the time he's in now. Ironic, really. Unlocking the past with the future. With mud dripping from his knee, Fett stepped to into the minimum safe distance before placing his thumb over the detonators bright red button.

The detonators planted on the hull of the ship would detonate. A brilliant flash of light followed by an explosive roar as it tore through the hull of the derelict ship. Being the explosive expert that he was, the bounty hunter would have used just the right amount of explosives to punch a sizeable hole in the hull to enter the ship through. The glowing metal would quickly cool off in the rain, a rush of air being sucked into the old vessel, the depths of the ship finally made open after hundreds of years.

All that remained was for the Bounty hunter to explore its ancient interior and see what treasures could be found, or in this case, a distant memory locked deep within a secure vaulted section of the ship. No life would be presently scannable on the ship, as would be expected of a dormant that had been crashed hundreds of years ago. Will the bounty hunter go to the cockpit first to see if there was anything recoverable or would he explore the other areas of the ship for a clue as to where anything of value was kept?

The Bounty Hunter, as he was all too commonly referred to as, stepped inside. The air was stale, what little of the original that remained. His vision found itself entirely clear, even in the darkness of a decrepit old vessel such as this. Fett's boots clinked against the interior, echoing throughout with a loud echo. Nothing came from the man but the simple soft breaths of a cautious individual. The Mandalorian quickly deducted that nothing could still be alive in here, nothing was still functioning in here. It was a skeleton of it's former self, and much like those outside it was to find itself picked clean.

A perceptive gaze emitted from the T-Shaped Visor, scanning over the contents of the old vessel. What was on the surface level was to be checked first, and only then would a more in-depth search be taken. With any luck, Koda may be here for a while. Whatever he saw when first walking in was surely going to pale in comparison with time. Something more... personal lurked here.

The lack of any power would make navigating the vessel to search its rooms difficult. Many of the rooms were sealed shut, and without the use of explosives would be impossible to get into. All that could be heard were the sounds made by Koda as he wandered through the vessel, trying to locate what he had come here for. At this point, realizing the condition of the vessel and how old it was, what was it that he sought? Did he have reason to suspect that this vessel was tied to him in some way shape or form?

as Koda wandered the corridors of the vessel, he would find one doorway where the metal door was ajar. With some elbow grease and a little effort, he may be able to push the metal door open wide enough to squeeze his way in.

It is often said that the force works in mysterious ways, but of course Koda never believed such a thing applied to him. He made his own destiny, his own luck- none of those mystical arts did anything to the Bounty Hunter. However, how could one know? It guides individuals places without their knowledge, it performs unspeakable things to the galaxy due to a 'prophecy'. Perhaps Fett was drawn to this room by the forces will, it had certainly caught his eye.

The man swung his carbine over his shoulder, allowing it to comfortably rest there with ease. Both hands placed onto the ajar edge of the door ahead of him, pushing with a heave and a ho. It's metallic creaked echoed louder than any of his footsteps, creating a crash of sorts as it slammed into it's designated spot. Fett stepped inside with curiosity plaguing his mind, what is it that he would find?

The door gives way after Koda had put his back into it, sliding out of the way with a loud screech. It seemed the room that he had stumbled upon was a large storage bay. Several haphazardly tossed about crates littered the floor, each of rather sizeable dimensions that had a large scratch mark on each one like tally marks. Trophies of an old hunt perhaps? Each crate bore a symbol, one that Koda might recognize as that of the Galactic Empire, not of what it was in the present day, but of the one he saw rise to power back during the war.

What Koda might find even more interesting was a rack of intact slabs with panels on the side. All except for one pulsated a weak light. If he were to pull the panel out he would find that it was in fact a carbonite slab, and encased in the one that seemed to have its last bit of power left in it would be a helmet and set of armor that Koda would recognize as that of an old clone trooper, though it would not be abundantly clear who that trooper was. All that he would be able to discern is that the trooper was rather large, and dressed in a set of armor that distinguished him as a commander. How would he proceed?

A brief scowl formed across his face, knowing full well that this ship was too old to be donning the Galactic Empire of this time's logo. The animosity came from two places, really. Being reminded of an awful regime, one that was responsible for stripping everything from him- indirectly or not. The second of which caused discomfort for a pit in his stomach formed, and he wasn't truly able to discern as to why. It is just how he felt. Fett was on edge, was it his nerves finally kicking back in? Were appropriate human responses becoming palpable once more? Or was this another trick engineered by a galactic power to test what a man so famed is truly capable of? Koda simply did not know.

The tally marks were witnessed, yet barely acknowledged. Taken in as a mental note of sorts. The carbonate slabs, however? They caught his eye more than anything else. The dim light drawing his attention, tearing it from it's place and allowing it to come into full view. "What..." An initial, knee-jerk reaction. A further glance was made, peering towards the panels the slabs often withheld for information regarding who was inside. Fett didn't expect this to be anyone he knew, what were the chances? One in a million, surely, if not more. Just another cog in the machine, lost to time like tears in rain. Much like himself, really.

The motionless figure frozen in carbonite seemed to just stare at Koda though because the figure wore a helmet it was impossible to identify who the clone was from a facial aspect. However, that was a clue as to who was held, suspended in time for years, the presence of a helmet as well as the positioning of the hands making it seem like there was a clear sign of struggle and that this was by no means any form of carbonite freezing meant to preserve, but rather to deliver.

The panel on the side of the carbonite slab would pulsate weakly, its power cell barely holding enough within it to unfreeze the individual from the carbonite. Koda was faced with two choices; either attempt to unfreeze or drag the slab back with him, or leave it there to remain as it had been for years.

Fett wasn't entirely sure on what to do, in all honestly. The prospect of releasing an individual after all those years could prove fatal, and then the arduous journey back to the vessel in a dangerous jungle may very well risk the mans life. Yet still, was the battery going to last? If the others had died out, it would only be a matter of time before this one did too. After a brief yet careful consideration the conclusion was clear: unleash the beast.

A moment or two later and the thawing procedure was underway, breathing life as it were back into the man who lay sleeping for centuries. The fact that he was evidently too tall to be a clone gave birth to a question within Koda's mind, but was brushed off with the literal shake of a head. It couldn't be, could it?

The individual encased within the carbonite would begin to glow a brilliant red as the last of the panel's power was being used to release the imprisoned individual. The carbonite would begin to thaw as the clone encased within let out a sudden gasp for air as he choked, the last bit of carbonite giving way as he stumbled forward and fell to his hands and knees. It would not take long however for the individual to regain his bearing as he immediately swung his arms out in a wild fashion before letting out a loud snarl, "Come and get me you scaly bastard. I'll tear you in half and roast you over a fire you scaly son of gundark!" Despite having been frozen for centuries, the clone still put up one hell of a resistance as if he had been released from the middle of a fight.

There was an odd quality to the clone's voice, probably as a result of finally being unfrozen from carbonite after so many years, but the tone and way he spoke was distinct. So distinct in fact, it may have reminded Koda of a certain individual who was from his past, the voice and size making it simple for Koda to identify after much time they had spent together in the past.

Fett raised his right leg in a swift action, thrusting forwards with enough strength to knock the unstable man down, but it wasn't going to do any damage to a man like that. All this doubt, all these memories rushed to Koda's brain, unable to shake the feeling that he knows full well who the man in question is- yet as all the trouble in the galaxy trying to admit it. As a result, it was in a violent tone that he responded, speaking loud and firm, "Who're you?" A steely, determined fire within his eyes hidden beneath the helmet.

Perhaps the way of speech, stance or even attitude was something that 'Scrapper' was able to pick up on and recognise the man who stood before him. It wasn't something that Fett considered likely, though. He was a changed man, now. That was for sure, nearly every facet of him was no longer the same. Maybe a blessing, maybe a curse.

Kandosii's legs would give out from under him as he was kicked to the ground, only just being able to get one foot planted firmly from him just falling flat as he maintained a crouched position. He was weakened, but he was by no means weak as he was quickly regaining his bearings from being thawed out. He wasn't blinded at all by the carbonite due to his helmet protecting his eyes, but the man who was demanding to know who he was, was still a blur to him. Kandosii's other leg that was not planted firmly on the ground would kick out in a large sweep in an attempt to throw off Koda's balance.

Who am I? It was a question that Kandosii had often asked himself ever since the end of the Clone Wars. He was no longer a soldier, but a freedom fighter, no longer a clone, but a man who had seized his own destiny and future. He'd let out a growl as he snapped back in a bellow, " Kandosii Manda! " To Koda he might recognize it as a phrase like a warcry rather than a name as it was a direct translation to indomitable warrior spirit in Mandalorian, but the clone turned on Koda regardless, only seeing a bounty hunter in front of him and instinctively going into a fight mode.

It was a shame that Kandosii lashed out so violently. Koda didn't want to hurt the man, that much was true- he wanted answers, why was this ship really considered a hidden cache? Was it a folk tale, or was there something else to it? Fett was going to find out, he always did. It's what made him the best.

The kick approached the Bounty Hunter, and in retaliation Fett stepped hastily stepped aside with a hop of sorts. With the weakness Manda felt, despite waning, it made him slow if not sluggish- at least it's the usual symptoms. The actions were predictable, and the Mandalorian was still on edge. He wasn't going to let a deranged clone get the better of him here, no, not ever.

Koda's right arm rapidly raised itself upwards to aim itself in the direction of Kandosii, his left rushing over to slam down on a singular button that rest not he gauntlet. A whipcord launching, wrapping around the Clone before him if it struck the intended target. Though in all reality, where was he going?

"Who are you really?" Perhaps his identical voice becoming recognised now. Although, this is only to be spoken if Manda finds himself wrapped up like a bug on a web.
