Lost in this city

She wasn't lost...she was just directionally misplaced. That was it, at least that's what her story would be if anyone thought to question her about it, not that anyone had so far. Asaraa sighed, leaning back against a wall as she let her blue eyes slide over the city street in front of her looking for a sign, any sign that would let her know where she was. A sign that was strangely, sadly, not forthcoming, of course, she wasn't going to be that lucky was she? The day had started out so well too, a trip to Commenor was a nice break from the jungle of Kashyyk, a chance to get out into the city, to interact with all the different people who gathered in a metropolis like this. It was a massive change from the usual and for a moment it had be amazing. She'd woken up in the morning with all the possibilities of the day stretching out ahead of her. Jairdain had been called into a meeting so the pink-haired girl had the opportunity ahead of her, the chance to go out and explore the palace. That had been an adventure in itself, no-one could need that many rooms, she'd seen a nice garden on her way in, somewhere to relax in the sun but finding it had proven to be...difficult. Instead of the garden she'd found a gate, and beyond it the city. It might not have been the smartest move, but the sight of the bustling city was a lure, pulling her in like a moth to a flame. So she'd slipped out and down into the city.

There was just so much going on, so much to see that she'd been pulled further and further in, deeper into the city. A lively market, the shops and curios, they were all a pleasant enough way to pass the time, but before she'd realised it Asaraa had slipped out of sight of the palace, and now...finding her way back was proving more than a little difficult. It wasn't like there was no way home, she had a comm unit, she could always call for help and Jairdain would no doubt send someone to pick her up...but then Jairdain would know that she'd managed to get herself lost again. It would get her back, but the lectures and the knowing looks would be unbearable. "Ok, come on how big can this place be," The girl reached up to slap her face lightly, running her hands through her hair as she pushed off the wall. "It's just a city right, if I keep walking long enough I'll find the palace...I'm screwed aren't I?" There may not have been anyone present right now but the girl felt a little more comfortable talking to herself, made her feel a little less alone, a little more comfortable. Lost in another city, she was never gonna live this one down.

Chasin City, the capital to the world of Commenor and the world that Caedyn Arenais had grown up upon for the initial thirteen years of his life before entering into the Je'daii Order under the encouragement of his father, Veiere whom was now hated for his supposed treason against the Systems Alliance. Caedyn knew the layout of the City like the back of his hand, unfortunately however he could no longer say the same for the Commenori people whom once adored the royal family. His Mother, [member="Lady Kay"] still ran things within the Systems Alliance as Queen, she whom still held the peoples best interests at heart even against their prejudice towards her husband and former King.

Veiere's Dark Jedi Order had recently attacked the Capital in retaliation for the capture and trial held over the former Jedi desecration of the Deneba Enclave; Caedyn and his sister [member="Loreena Arenais"] were still coming to terms with the truth, not yet ready to blame their father for the guilt that was rightly due, Caedyn had remained on Commenor for some time in order to let things settle, to see how much damage his father had really done, not to the Systems Alliance but to their family name and to his Mother's reputation...

Being the Apprentice of [member="Asha Hex"] held many advantages, though he never expected to be so thankful as he was today for having been pulled away from his family; his time aboard the Prophet, traveling from world to world and exploring the many Tho Yor of Tython had offered plenty distraction and learning. No longer was he the helpless and innocent boy that his family had waved goodbye to some few years back; Caedyn had become quite the adept Force Practitioner and his presence showed through his comfort and pride of his many abilities, not at all feeling exposed or threatened.

[SIZE=9.5pt]That…was not a palace, although it was a pretty impressive building none the less maybe a theatre or opera house or…it was a bank. Asaraa sighed, resisting the urge to kick at a stone, a piece of trash anything she could find nearby to vent her frustration on. It was hardly the image for a Jedi Padawan to give…a Jedi Padawan in a strange city who wasn’t wearing Jedi robes, well now that was a different matter altogether. It wasn’t like she planned to go out and cause any havoc or anything but…she was anonymous, for the first time in well what felt like forever she could just blend in with a crowd and no-one would even notice her. Well, at least as anonymous as you could be pink hair, still it was something right? [/SIZE]

[SIZE=9.5pt]A smile touched up the corner of her lips as she span on one heel leaving the bank behind her as she stared at the road in front of her. For the most part, Chasin city seemed to be a pretty happy prosperous place, more so than most of the cities she’d visited in her travels. It was the kinda place you could easily spend the day browsing through. And the people seemed friendly enough, actually stopping to wave in the street. There was no getting away from the trial, it had filled the galactic news and couldn’t help but attract attention. Yet people still had their lives to live, work to do, goods to sell, the heartbeat of a city that seemed to pulse and flow around you. Asaraa closed her eyes for a moment, reaching out to the force, pulling the energy into herself, wrapping tendrils of the energy around herself almost in a cocoon, a shell that kept the crowd from jostling her as she stared around herself. There was something there, another presence? Well, it’s not like Ccommenor was without force users of their own…still it was an adventure to find them right. The fact that the path lead by that most gorgeous shop had absolutely nothing to do with her decision, not a thing at all.[/SIZE]

It was true that Commenor had seen it's share of force practitioners, those of the former Knights of Commenor were once a regular sight within the capital city as they moved too and from the Force Praxeum hidden further west of the royal palace and shrouded in among the Illarian woodlands; then there were the coming and going of Jedi, for whom hailed from all corners of the Galaxy once openly welcomed by Caedyn's father whom had founded a section of the Jedi within the System Alliance's own territories, the former Jedi Enclave of Deneba. Even the Sith had been present here when the world was consumed in the One Sith Empire's space during the height of their battle against the Galactic Republic their Queen [member="Lady Kay"] had formerly been a Senator of. It was, like many thousands of worlds across the star charts of the known Galaxy, only natural that the Force had been present upon such a world rife with life and beauty.

As for Caedyn however, today was not a day of any great priorities nor missions worth a damn to the known Galaxy. He had time to spare and here at home where he so rarely spent time anymore, even his own people failed to recognize who he was, a fact that he was most fond of. Before his leave of Commenor, school had been terrible for Cae. His Sister enjoyed herself as she usually so often did in her care-free outlook on life yet Caedyn had hated being treated differently for the family that he was born into. If anything, the special treatment had given Caedyn a far more competitive and mischievous side, acting out to prove that he could make trouble in class and for his family than what was expected of typically up-tight royalty. Of course, this was mostly an act, a facade to mask his frustration towards the society around his home-world for which he had since been years without...

Wandering the streets however, dressed as he were did attract the odd stare from those passing him by. His Tunic doing little to hide the typical atmosphere he was accustomed to, blatantly looking to be one whom at the very least associated with others of a practitioners order. The colors of his tunic being deep grays and blues, a touch of beige to add a bit of warmth to the way the material sat upon him, all of which seemed most lacking of any threat if share style was enough to tell the difference between one of the light and one of the dark side of the Force. Around Chasin City, there remained many whom were skeptical of their kind since his father's trial, yet Caedyn had a good habit of minding his own business, walking with full pockets and the desire to spend a few credits and simply enjoy himself; he lazily wandered the sidewalk with both hands buried within the sides of his leggings, unknowingly heading straight for another whom had already picked up on his presence.

Suit, cute dress, casual get up, party clothes, robes, suit, suit dress. There was something fundamentally interesting about people watching, seeing all the people who were wrapped up in their own lives and their own thoughts and stories. See them rushing past, the heroes and villains of their own stories, not really thinking about one another, just focusing in on their lives without thinking, without worrying about the world beyond them. It was a refreshing change from the norm…wait a minute. The young ground to a halt, the crowd flowing around her like water around a rock as she replayed the scene that had just played out as she’d walked. People wearing suits going to work and…someone in a robe. A robe very like a Jedi’s robe, just like the ones that hung unused in her wardrobe back at the mansion. Well now, if anyone was responsible for that echo in the force, for the sense of someone out there then the person who looked like a Jedi would be a pretty good place to start.

For a moment Asaraa had forgotten all about her self-appointed hunt, seeking out that presence in the force that she’d sensed in the distance. Now though, that sense in the force was back. filling the area around her like the pulses from a beacon. The girl spun around on one foot, her long pink hair flaring out behind her like a cloak as she fell in behind Caedyn, swaying from side to side as she wove her way through the crowd, maintaining her distance from him as she let her aqua eyes run over his frame. Slight, but he seemed to move with the comfortable grace of someone who had trained at it. A wry smile touched the girl’s lips, recognising the irony in the comparison that could as easily be thrown at herself, at the idea of using someone’s physical appearance to discover something about someone else when she hated people doing the same thing about her. It seemed wrong but what else could she do? The boy had peaked her curiosity…well there was one thing she could do. Composing her face into as natural and normal a feature as she could the pink-haired girl reached out with the lightest touch of the force a soft probe of Caedyn which fell apart as it reached him as she let her eyes drift away from his back.

For the lad, there was no assumption whether for nor against the possibility of other Force Practitioners being in the City with him; The Je'daii Order and his learning under his Master [member="Asha Hex"] had taught him to be proud and most compassionate about the many learnings and opportunities one might find in such an immense yet pure flow of life and place of power; the very nature of the world itself, the currents of the open air giving breath to the Force like the veins leading to ones heart. In Caedyn's blissful ignorance and his typically at-ease state of mind wandering his Home-City, he hadn't at all noticed that he had somehow managed to pick up a tail. At-least, not until it had reached out to him and touched upon the edge of his mind, awakening his senses and by reaction, instinctively leading the boy to expand upon his awareness the immediate vicinity of peoples and places of intrigue; anything that stood out of the ordinary, a beacon of light in a world of hazed darkness, such as the Force was in the Galaxy.

Hello there...
Caedyn's response was offered through the practice of telepathy rather than stopping to make any physical sign of notice nor intrusion to his movements and mind; with the simple greeting however, his emotions would also flow in alongside his response, giving [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] the indication of his intrigue and curiosity towards the source of his new found interest. He would however not be able to identify her, least he seek to force his concentration and seek to void her personal privacy; an act of telepathy that simply wasn't within Caedyn's character traits. While many Jedi or Sith could and did often go beyond the mental defense of other beings and peoples, as far as the boy was concerned, it was an act that defied the respect of his peers and surrounding parties. Simply put, it wasn't an ethical nor respectful act of any sort.

My name's Caedyn...-What's your name?
On the contrary, he went the distance to offer up his name in introduction first. It seemed the friendlier thing he could do, given that he was curious yet held no knowledge over the nearby Force User to be able to exactly pinpoint her location; he couldn't even tell she were a girl. The fact was, if she so decided, she could change her mind, run off and leave him wondering...-Which would totally be annoying.

It took everything Asaraa had not to jump out of her skin when she heard the voice reaching out to her, echoing through her head. Telepathy was something she’d only recently come into contact with, and the ability for someone to speak without moving your lips was still one that failed to come naturally to her. She could sense him though, the expanding sense of his consciousness spreading out over the crowd. It wasn’t that he was hunting her, it was more of a curious thing. The girl let her eyes drift to the boy’s back, her teeth worrying at the soft flesh of her lower lip. Her playful poke had alerted him to her presence but she didn’t think he knew who she was. For a moment she considered turning on her heel and vanishing away into the crowd, making like a ghost and just drifting away. Only she was the one who had started this whole event so walking away would have been rude.

Taking a deep breath Asaraa closed her eyes, letting the cloak that had been wrapped around her, muting her sense on the force drop away as she let the smallest of smiles touch her face. Letting out the breath the pink-haired girl reached out into the force, stretching her mind towards Caedyn’s as she pressed out through the force. The mental aspects of the powers were the area of the force she was least confident in but where could you be without practice right? It was only the lightest touch that was needed on the boy’s mind, not enough to push at his defences, just establish that first connection. I’m Asaraa…well, she was committed now but still, she tried to maintain the nonchalant mask as she slowly started to work her way through the crowd towards him. Her target, well she couldn’t really call him that since he knew that she was there, hadn’t really physically reacted to her presence, a wry smile tugged up the corner of Asaraa’s lips, she wasn’t entirely sure if she was pleased by that or a little annoyed that his control was so good that he hadn’t tried to turn around to spot her.

I’m Asaraa...

Her words reached out to him with the force, a grasp over his shoulder that while invisible, led him to turn to gaze back over his shoulder directly towards [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] as she began to maneuver her way through the crowd towards him. The first of her features that he noticed was her hair, a pinkish tone to the strands that brushed down over her eyes with the way the local breeze danced across the city. Her age wasn't as easily distinguishable as others though she certainly looked a little older than he was and clearly she was trained in the Force, at-least enough to communicate with him the way he had called to her for answers.

The boy's attire wasn't exactly traditional, though it might look familiar, there were numerous differences in the style of garb that he wore that suggested something of homeliness and self-woven detail. In truth, it had been made for him by his Father, though he too had used a more neutral tone of fabrics in order to embrace the Order that he had approved of for his Son, the Je'daii. They were the only Force Practitioners that Caedyn had ever really studied or known in any great detail, despite his father having once been a member of the Jedi Order and later succumbed to the Darkside, Caedyn and his sister [member="Loreena Arenais"] had been discouraged from exploring their abilities until they had come of an appropriate age in which they could make their own decisions and choose to make the most of themselves independently from their parents past and history with the many different groups out there in the Galaxy.

As a result of this, his father's legacy came in the form of his last name and in that alone. The aura around Caedyn Arenais was inherently light and calming to those that might come near him with any experience or sensory abilities of their own; in this case, the girl Asaraa. "Hey..." Caedyn spoke with a little apprehension in his voice, lifting a hand to offer something of an awkward wave in greeting gesture; "Do I know you or something?" He asked, curious if maybe she was someone who used to have gone to his school or something. Standing there, his stance was rather casual. His shoulders low and his hands at his sides buried into the pockets of his pants, his eyes soft though his intrigue obvious as he glanced her over trying to figure out how or even if they were familiar with one another. It wasn't every day after all that an older girl just came wandering up to someone like Caedyn openly wanting to talk to him !

“I don’t think so…” The girl let a small smile tug up the corner of her lips as she tilted her head to the side, eyes twinkling with amusement. “This is actually only my second visit to the city,” the girl admitted as she nodded her head at the buildings. “I don’t know…well I know about 3 people here.” Tucking her arms behind her back Asaraa fell into step next to Caedyn as she let her gaze drift away for a moment to examine the street and the travellers. “I was just…well looking around,” there was absolutely no way that she was going to admit to anyone that she was lost. Especially not to someone who she had just met, although she couldn’t just leave it hanging. “You know exploring the city and I kinda just sensed you over here. And they say curiosity killed the cat but…it’s never steered me wrong so far.” Well ok, it might have almost gotten her in trouble a few times, but she’d never ended up in a situation that had gone majorly wrong.

As they walked the pink-haired girl’s fingers pulled at the back of her top, idly rubbing the fabric between her fingers as she glanced sideways at her companion. He wasn’t wearing standard Jedi robes, not as she’d first supposed although the style was similar. There was something else, his entire outfit seemed to glow with the force, a separate sensation from the energy boiling off [member="Caedyn Arenais"]. It was a similar feeling of energy, not quite the same as his but close enough that she hadn’t been able to spot it at a distance. A wry smile touched Asaraa’s lips as her gaze slipped down to her own outfit, the skirt and vest combo that provided her with a comfortable attire even as the gentle breeze brushed across the bare skin of her arms and legs. With a start the girl realised she’d been staring at Caedyn and herself without talking and dragged her gaze back up to the street, blue eyes slipping back to glance at him as she gave a small shrug. “You were the strongest force signature around and I was…at a loose end so I decided to come on over here.”

"Oh, well...-My name's Caedyn" the lad smiled in welcome greeting to [member="Asaraa Vaashe"], their little run-in rather abrupt and somewhat random though such was the way with most things in the Galaxy as far as Caedyn could tell these days. "Chasin City was my home for most of my life so I'm pretty good with directions" he chuckled softly, his eyes glancing to the pink haired girl as she seemed to be watching the street and those about it. He naturally couldn't help but wonder which three people it was that Asaraa believed she knew, though refrained from asking both out of good manners and the fact that despite his family's role over Commenor, it was a big world with millions of people from all different walks of life coming to and from the heart of trade and governance within the Systems Alliance; the chances of the three people being those he might have known seemed incredibly slim.

"So you're a Force User too then, huh?" Caedyn asked, already knowing the answer though her attire hadn't exactly given it away as opposed to her words and her reaction to his presence there; "We get a lot of them here, too", those of both the dark and the light perceptions and paths of the Force though he weren't to point that out. For most people that practiced the Force, the share mention of either one side of alignment usually set the mood or path of discussion downhill, and given Caedyn's training within the Je'daii Order, he had been taught not to favor either one over another but to respect the Force in it's entirety as a whole. This of course, didn't change his demeanor or make him a bad person as far as he could tell.

"You looking for anything special?".

‘The way home for a start’ The words almost slipped out of Asaraa’s mouth as she tilted her head to the side before nodding at Caedyn, raising one hand, a thing tendril of the force reaching out to wrap around a flower growing by the side of the road. Her finger crooked, tilting ever so slightly as the force reacted the flower pulling away form the ground as if it were attached to a string. The flower danced above the girl’s palm, as if it were a kite. “Yeah,” a smile danced across her lips as she glanced over at the boy, “Something like that. I’m with the Silver Jedi, just over visiting the embassy,” she admitted with a small glance around. She knew that the Jedi weren’t always the most welcome in some parts of the galaxy but she hadn’t seen any signs of that here. “You’re…well I know you’re a force user too but I don’t think I can place you better than that.” The pair of blue eyes settled on Caedyn, giving him a curious look, “You don’t feel evil…but then not everyone does. So,” Asaraa let the smile on her face widen into a grin as she sped up a bit, swinging around to face the boy, a twinkle in her eyes, “Do you promise not to attack me or anything like that?” She was trying very hard to restrain the smile on her face, and the laughter that wanted to slip past her lips, but it wasn’t easy.

The pink-haired girl held her pose for a moment before she winked at Caedyn and span away, looking back over the street. “So…assuming you’re not evil and out to get me…what’s good around here? I was just exploring but since you’re a native care to be my tour guide?” At some point a tour had to lead back to the palace right?

You don't feel evil...

Caedyn Arenais blinked at the words, [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] moving around to stand in-front of him. She almost seemed to be being sorta playful now that she seemed to have accepted him as a non-threatening presence, to Caedyn's mind, she seemed nice enough though he were always the type to avoid a conflict where it could be managed and he had a habit of treating everyone like they were nice until it backfired on him and he were proved otherwise.

"Well, gee...-Thanks!" Caedyn replied with a bit of a grin, shaking his head a little at the thought; "I'm no Jedi but then I'm no Sith either. I'm with the Je'daii Order of Tython...-And well, a few other worlds to be honest. We don't really stick to one place for too long at a time". The idea that he might attack Asaraa seemed preposterous really, for a start she were a girl and you just didn't attack girls, it wasn't right ! [member="Loreena Arenais"] soon came to mind however, his Sister was always the exception as they often play fought together and beat each other up for fun, a challenge between a Je'daii and a Mandalorian within the family.

"I've never met a Silver Jedi before, I don't think..." he added thoughtfully, looking her up and down with an inquisitive gaze, "But the Jedi have always been friendly to Commenor. My Mom's in charge of it all and says that Commenor's always going to want to help others that fight for good people" a point that had been made recently and even most publicly in the aftermath of his fathers downfall and escape into exile. Veiere had done a lot of damage to the Systems Alliance's reputation across the Galaxy, especially with the Jedi that he had attacked on Deneba. A thought that Caedyn had to steer clear from.

"I know this City like I know how to ride a speeder-bike. It's really easy to get around...-I could show you the royal palace or maybe the market districts where all the good shops are?" these both seemed like things a girl might want to see. Truthfully he didn't have much a clue when it came to girl's; "Or maybe you could think of a place you'd like to see?".

The pink-haired girl started slightly, her eyes widening with a fleeting expression of shock that chased it’s way briefly across her face at [member="Caedyn Arenais"]’ off the cuff statement. He made it seem like having one's mother run Commenor was nothi…run Commenor. Asaraa twisted around, staring at her companion pensively, there was only one person who could really be said to run Commenor, but if he was the son of the queen then…what were the odds she’d run into a prince while wandering around the city. It was like one of those novels you could find in spaceports, the unsuspecting girl stumbling across a member of the nobility. Only she never expected a prince to be so likeable, not that she’d met before, but her missions had bad her rubbing shoulders with a few members of the nobility.

“You’ve never met a Silver Jedi, and I’ve never met a Je’daii, until today anyway.” Grinning at the boy the Asaraa pulled in front of him, taking a few steps before she span to face him, reaching up to tuck a strand of hair behind her ear as she held out a hand to him, blue eyes twinkling with laughter. “So, you guys tend to move around a lot? That’s kinda cool, the only time I get to see the galaxy is is when we go out on a mission, or you know something like this.” One hand swept out, encompassing the city around them, “I’m really supposed to be training but well…who can train with a city like this out here. It was too tempting so I decided to head out here during my break and well, the rest as they say is history.”

A grin touched the girl’s, so at least she knew he was going to be able to get her back to the palace at the end of things…but as things currently stood, well there was no need to rush things. Especially with the offer of the shops and the tour of the city at hand there was no need to go back right now. “Well…if you’re offering, I really wouldn’t argue with a chance to check out the marketplace if you’re up for it.”

As far as being a 'Prince' was concerned, Caedyn Arenais didn't really think much of the title for it had only led to his being treated differently from others, most especially in his younger schooling years. As much as he loved his Mother and his Sister Lori, it was one of the reasons he had found a fond love for exploration across the Galaxy. Out there nobody knew him to be 'royalty'. Out there he was no different from anyone else. He was also pleasantly relieved when [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] focused on his being a member of the Je'daii, a much more preferable position as it was his life's dedication nowadays.

"Traveling is a really big part of what it takes to become a Ranger...-Kinda like your Jedi Knights I think. As a Je'daii Journeyer I have to visit all of the nine Tho Yor on Tython, study and train in all of the paths that the Je'daii offer. Not only that though, my Master says that experience, real experience in the Galaxy is also helpful..." He smiled warily as he spoke, the words sounding well though he a bit nervous in his explanation, hoping not to get anything particularly wrong as he always liked to make the Je'daii sound as great as he'd found them, when explaining them to someone else.

Asaraa seemed to be kinda playful and as she spun in front of him, turning to look back to Caedyn, the boy chuckled as she seemed to be enjoying herself. His eyes soon dropped to her hand extending towards him and thus caused him to falter some. The act of holding hands seemed like something you didn't do with just anyone, though he'd never done it before and never really had to think much of it until the moment. Were he to be rude and decline or take her hand and ride out the awkwardness. Her decision to head for the Market district brought his eyes back to hers and he grinned a little sheepishly, nodding his head in acknowledgement and stepping passed her a little in the direction of the center of the City, waving her on to follow and hoping she'd miraculously forget about the offer.

"Chasin City has a bit of everything, especially in the markets. The Commenori Knights are Force Users too so there's a lot of good stuff people like us might like to pick up. There's some pretty good sheets of metal and stuff for things like making lightsabers or different clothes for normal people or Jedi and stuff" Caedyn added as he led her down the sidewalk, they passing others by, the street's gradually growing busier and busier the closer they got until finally their path opened up into the hub of the Market district, a massive clearing that split off in all directions almost like every street in the Capital was connected to where they had arrived. Numerous stalls were out with customers looking over their wares, offering little compared to the immense number of shops and restaurants that surrounded them. Caedyn smiled to himself as he watched everyone busy in their day, relieved to see the smiles of children with their parents, couples mingling and having fun; the overall air of the place fresh and heart-warming.

Falling back into lockstep beside [member="Caedyn Arenais"] Asaraa let her gaze slide along his face, following his eyes to glance over at the families browsing though the stalls, the children running around as the silvery sound of their laughter drifted over. A soft sad smile touched Asaraa’s lips as her blue eyes tracked a pair of children running back to show their parents something they had found on the ground. It was a small microcosm of the galaxy at large, but there was no threat of war or conflict, just innocent happy people rushing around living their lives without much more concern than the sun beating down on their faces, the light breeze brushing across the market sending a faint tinkling through the ornaments swinging together. It was the kind of idyllic scene she’d always imagined when she’d thought about her family in the past, imagining herself as one of those kids running around.

The pink-haired girl let her gaze swing back to her companion, the smile on her face morphing up into something a little more playful. “Sounds like they keep you bouncing around and busy, although I have to admit your master sounds like a pretty smart lady,” she decide with a sage nod. “There’s something about getting out here, about seeing the galaxy that’s more than a little enticing. There’s just so much to discover, to experience. It might be what I’m most looking forward to about being a knight, there isn’t much in the way of restrictions on me now, but just the ability to go where you feel the call, that should be amazing. It sounds like your training is a little more structured than ours, mostly we just learn what we need to from our master, or ask other, more specialised masters to help us with certain areas we’re weak in.” Tilting her head to the side she turned a curious gaze on Caedyn, “So, it sounds like you’re really enjoying your training then.” A laugh dragged Asaraa’s attention away back towards the crowd gathered around the stalls.

“You know,” the girl’s voice was soft, an almost whisper that just reached Caedyn’s ears as the flower stopped dancing on her palm as her fist wrapped around the stem of the flower. “I think, for an afternoon, it might be cool to just relax and have some fun.” She turned a bright grin on Caedyn, grabbing him by the hand to tug him towards the stalls. “Come on, let's see what kinda clothes they’ve got for sale." a soft laugh escaped her lips, as she pulled him along. "I bet we can find the perfect accessory for your outfit.” Like one of those huge sunglasses or something.

Things seemed to take a turn much quicker than Caedyn could keep up with; [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] took his hand and before he could question or overthink the moment she was pulling him off towards a bunch of street-side stores and already planning about what kind of outfits or accessories might go well with what the boy was wearing. 'I have become her doll...' he thought sarcastically to himself in silent jest at his own expense though didn't say this aloud as Asaraa seemed rather amused at the idea and he didn't want to spoil the girl's fun. For a Jedi, she seemed nothing alike what he had imagined knowing that his Father had been one of them for so many years. The possibility that there were those like Asaraa on Deneba during the attack, hurt to think about and he did his best to bury his emotions, the thought passing him by as the pair of them moved between the crowd, Caedyn stumbling more than he was walking as the girl seemed quite in control of the situation.

Her previous comments regarding his training and his Master, her reflection on her training and how casual it sounded, were all moments of their conversation that had come and gone by the time Asaraa slowed and Caedyn wasn't being so much as pulled but rather stepping up to her side as they entered one of the stores. Naturally it was a well adjusted clothing store to societies many fashions these days, Commenor putting on her charm for the many numerous different cultural fashions one would want to pick out when purchasing from the capital of a government who's one selling point was the mutual cooperation of so many different races and worlds. It wasn't exactly typical for Caedyn to put much emphasis on shopping and such, anything he needed in terms of clothing and what not, he himself could and often did stitch up, thanks to the teachings of his Order. Independence certainly wasn't lacking in his life.

"So uh..." Caedyn glanced sideways to his companion a little warily, "When you say accessories...?" he reluctantly asked, feeling somewhat out of his depth and being a typical boy who didn't really see the point of spending hours in these types of places like most girls did, or so he imagined.

There was something, while she was dragging him towards the shops, with his hand grasped in hers Asaraa had thought for a fleeting moment she had sensed something, a fleeting moment of sadness washing over her new friend. The girl glanced over at Caedyn, concern dancing in her eyes for a moment before amusement replaced the look, leaving a soft reflection in the twinkling blue orbs. “Well since we’re here…” she let her eyes dance over to a rack of gaudy shirts before letting her gaze travel back to Caedyn arching an eyebrow for a moment as the rising eyebrow pulled up her lips into a smile.

The pink-haired girl held the look for a long moment, watching his face before a fit of laughter took over here, leaving Asaraa unable to talk as she waved a hand at the boy. “Relax, seriously I’m not going to rebuild your entire wardrobe, or you know at least not yet anyway.” Reaching up to dash tears of laughter away from her face she gave him what she hoped was a comforting look. “I’m not going to load you up with heavy chains or anything, although a little bit of bling wouldn’t be so bad,” the girl’s voice had fallen back into a playful teasing tone. “I was just thinking of a scarf or hat, something to complement it and add a splash of colour. Or you know, a nice pair of sunglasses, you can’t go wrong with a crazy pair of sunglasses.”

Letting her gaze slide along the shop’s well-stocked shelves she nodded, “Besides, half the fun of shopping isn’t the actual buying, it’s just looking at what they have and trying things on,” she confided in a stage whisper, winking at Caedyn. “Don’t tell anyone I told you that or they might take away my shopper’s card.” She didn’t know what had been troubling him earlier, but she was sure that there had been something. It wasn’t her place to pry and try to drag it out of him, but what she could do was try to cheer him up and take his mind off it. Besides, this looked like teasing [member="Caedyn Arenais"] was going to be a lot of fun.

Caedyn's head tilted a little as [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] soon broke into a fit of laughter after catching his gaze, his brows furrowed and he pursed his lips, glancing away in slight confusion before looking back to her with something of an uncertain smile, finding amusement in the simple fact that she was clearly having a grand time over what he could only presume to be at his own expense. "Ugh...-Okay, okay" He waved at her dismissively, giving her shoulder a playful and very light nudge as if to get her to snap out of her little fit of humor; "Just no girly stuff...-I don't wanna look like a goober...-No big heart shaped glasses or anything silly like that okay !" he urged her, though it sounded more like pleading and he soon realized he'd already conceded to her being in control of the situation, this only leaving him to huff in sighing fashion, his resignation then and there.

'What have I gotten myself into...' he thought to himself, watching Asaraa as she talked and looked about the store; 'Lori would be laughing her head off at me right now if she were here', the corner of his mouth lifted in a faint half smile at the thought of his Twin-Sister falling over in a fit. In fact, both of the girls would probably get along quite well laughing and teasing him if they were ever to meet and team up on him. "You know...-For a Jedi you seem like you're pretty fun to hang around..." Caedyn exclaimed, an extension of thought as he realized this Silver Jedi was nothing alike what he had been led to believe of them; "Aren't you guys usually all up-tight and stuff. I thought you had to be all formal and that kinda stuff...-Not that I've ever met a Silver Jedi before. I've just heard about them and my Dad used-..." his words faded quickly and Caedyn quickly realized where he was going with his sentence, "Used to talk about them a bit.." He corrected himself, a better recovery than what he had been about to say on the matter..

An honest question deserved an honest answer, and not a rushed or joking one. Asaraa tilted her head to the side for a moment, blue eyes falling on [member="Caedyn Arenais"] as she considered his question. “I think it’s like any other group honestly,” she finally allowed in a softer voice, “you’re going to have some people who are formal and up-tight, who insist on everything being done just so by the book. And then you’re going to have people on the other end of the scale.” A small smile tugged up the corner of her lips as she flicked the scarf in her hands over and over, fingers running across the soft material. “We’re supposed to be rolemodels, guardians of the peace and the galaxy but,” she gave her new friend a small shrug, “would you really want to have a role model who didn’t know how to unbend and have a good time? It’s a huge galaxy, with so much awesome stuff to see and do, I’m not going to let that one part of me dictate who I am, who I have to be.”

Still smiling the girl let the scarf slip out of her bands, the light blue fabric dropping back onto the shelf as she turned to face Caedyn, holding out her hand once again. “Hi, I’m Asaraa Vaashe, Silver Jedi, and explorer, fighter and lover of life, protector of animals large and small, puller of pranks and teaser of friends. Oh and I’m the girl buying herself those awesome heart-shaped glasses and buying you those cool slotted ones too…unless walking around with someone wearing those sunglasses would make you look like a Goober,” she challenged, a teasing smile dancing across her lips before it dropped a little. “I think, your dad might have run into I won’t say the wrong type of Jedi but, not the ones like me. I get it's a grave responsibility, but it doesn't need to be an overwhelming one, you just need to find the best way to live your life, the way that works for you. Besides, I mean, have you heard about our parties?” she looked around before leaning closer to Caedyn to continue in a conspiratorial whisper, “we throw the best parties.” Leaning back she smiled at him, “Although you know, you’re pretty fun to hang around with too.”

Despite having been the first to speak of his Father, [member="Asaraa Vaashe"]'s mention of him caused some slight anxiety to show in his expression as he glanced off to the side averting his gaze. His silence spoke loud enough for his discomfort though as he looked back to her not wanting to be rude, he decided it was best to introduce himself formerly just as she had, taking her hand in his and shaking it with a feigned smile. "Caedyn Arenais, Son of Veiere and [member="Lady Kay"] Arenais. Apprentice to [member="Asha Hex"] of the Je'daii Order and...-Crown Prince of Commenor" the last title being the one he least wished to announce though it was part of his identity he supposed and given they were on Commenor it seemed important enough to mention. "My Father's opinion of Jedi isn't all that reliable anymore, really..." He added in firm conclusion, almost as if reassuring himself given his Dad's lack of presence in their life today. "-And I think everyone is different and they're allowed to be. It would be boring if we were all the same right..." he smiled genuinely to Asaraa this time, her joke about the Love heart shaped Glasses and the slated ones that she suggested buying for him was amusing enough though given who he was, he felt more inclined to spend the credits as he probably had more and certainly had too much than he himself needed to get by.

"And thanks, Asaraa...-You seem like a pretty cool chick too" He chuckled softly under his breath, tilting his head thoughtfully before speaking further on the note of parties, "Mom has thrown a lot of parties and stuff before. I think we even had some Silver Jedi show up to those but I was really young during those ones. Lately I guess we've been seeing more Mandalorian's given my Sister's off training with them and stuff" as for the Je'daii, parties hadn't proven to be their cup of tea, or atleast not yet in as far as his experience was concerned. The last social event he had attended was some sort of romantic day of celebration that he'd wound up just spending alone..
