Name: Loser's Bar
Image Source: Neuromancer Movie concept art by Tsutomu Nihei.
Classification: Cantina and an arcade.

Location:
Losers Bar is located in Nar Shaddaa’s Undercity. The entrance to the bar is found in a tight and rarely used alley, having no particular indication of the bars presence other than another ordinary door. [x]

Affiliation:
The bartender and owner is called Andriav Pratchinsko, a rather overweight Human with a bald head and a cheap pink duraplast cybernetic arm. He inherited the bar from his father and have since turned the place into a popular spot for slicers and other sub culture freaks. He is good friends with Jen, having allowed her to use the place for her own activities.

Description:
Losers Bar consists of three rooms:
  • Cantina
  • Office
  • Arcade
The Cantina itself is a single large room, on the floor various cheap metal tables and chairs stand for the guests to use. The cantina area is dimly lit and most light comes from the small lamps that hang above each table as well as the glow from the holoscreens that are placed throughout the establishment. Another source of light is the green glow from under the glass surface of the bar. The bar itself is thoroughly stocked on all kinds of cheap alcohols as well as soda, energy drinks and other kinds of refreshments. A single bottle of half-empty Corellian whiskey stands on the top drawer behind the bar, locked in a cage. It is according to Andriav “reserved for special occasions”. Free wireless holonet access is granted in the establishment, though it is noted on several signs that one should always make sure to secure their device before they attempt to use it, mainly due to the large amount of slicers often gathered at the bar. Officially, the establishment encourages visitors to turn off any electrical devices that can wirelessly be accessed before they enter Losers Bar. The cantina is open all hours of the week and is in general a dirty place as Andriav seldom bother to clean up and sweep the floor.

The Backroom is directly linked to the cantina and was once an office. These days it is a restricted place for Andriav to relax with friends. Various technology gadgets, soldering gear and computers are placed here along with large comfortable couches. The room features a large window (with shutters if needed) that leads out onto the roof of the building besides them.
The Arcade is a long room stocked to the brim with old, but once expensive and rare games of all kinds such as Huttsmash 2000, Now This Is Podracing League or Galaxy Invaders. Neon lights flood the place, adding only to the iconic atmosphere the arcade offers. The place smells of popcorn combined with the odd smell of nerf meat, an odor that have saturated the walls ever since it was used as a slaugher house. The arcade offers comlink stations with cheap call rates. A bathroom is also attached to this room and over the years the place have become known as being a local spice dealer location.

History:
Losers Bar was originally two individual “apartments”. A Nerf slaughterhouse that processed meat before having it was transported to the nearby space port. The other apartment was a large broken down arcade. Eventually both of the businesses died and the rooms were bought by Ivan Pratchinsko which turned the older slaughterhouse into a cantina that a few of the nearby residents frequented. As Ivan grew old, the cantina was handed down to his son Andriav. Customers were few and far between and as a side project, Andriav tried to restore the arcade that had fallen into disrepair so many years ago. However, with little knowledge regarding the gaming systems it was an almost impossible task.

Years later, a few prominent slicer jobs and infochant exchanges were arranged in the forgotten bar, which lead Jennifer Phoenix to find the place. Discovering that the arcade was broken down, Jennifer offered Andriav to restore the arcade if she in turn could come and freely play the machines. Over the next couple of months as the arcades were restored more customers started to show up as Jennifer began to hang out there with a few business associates and friends of hers in the bar. Its growing underground success was further pushed by the advertisements Jen placed on the holo- and cryptnet in order to get to talk with other people in her profession. This was furthered by Andriav as he adapted his bar to fit the new type of clientele he was getting.

Intent: For it to be used as a location in roleplays to come and give more details to the bar.
