Popo

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Intent: To create a unique, distinct, and new set of armor for Popo to replace his old and now tight fitting durasteel armor.
Development Thread: Beskar acquired here: SSB Auction - Mandal Hypernautics
Manufacturer: Tenloss with help from contracted Mandalorian smiths from Mandalore (NPCs as beskar can only be made by Mandalorian smiths)
Affiliation: Popo
Modularity: Add on/Bolt on weapons, similar to Hutt Battle Armor
Production: Unique
Material: Beskar, microrepulsors, computer systems (in the helmet)
Description:

After winning the bid on the auctioned beskar during the SSB's, Popo quite honestly had no idea what to do with the metal. He sat for a day or so and pondered what to do with it. A series of weapons? Plated droids? Tanks? Then, when he stretched in thought, it hit him. His armor was tight. He'd been growing slowly and steadily larger. He needed new armor and he had a ton of Beskar metal. Bingo.

With this in mind, Popo brought in his armor design teams and contracted iron smiths on Mandalore to work the metal according to the designs given. The end result was the huge and heavy Lorda armor. Made of thick, segmented, overlapping plates of Beskar iron and, in traditional Shell Hutt fashion, studded liberally with microrepulsors to support the massive weight of both Hutt and armor.

Capable of shrugging off blasters, slugthrowers, and lightsabers with relative ease, the armor is highly protective and very, very durable. The literally hundreds of microrepulsors studded throughout the armor keeps Popo moving despite the great weight of Hutt and armor. This allows him to move as easily and as quickly as a much smaller Hutt without armor. The armor can feature weapons/accessories mounted on or in areas, much like the traditional Hutt battle armor, though Popo usually relies on hired help or Tenloss Security for protection.

The weapon mounts are as follows:
  • Droid Translator Unit
  • Datapad
  • Two wrist mounted blasters
  • One shoulder mounted E-Web heavy repeating blaster
These weapons and mounts can be swapped for equivalent sized weapons that can be mounted to the armor.

The fallbacks are fairly evident on the Lorda armor. The armor is extremely heavy and cumbersome and while this is offset by the micro repulsors studded throughout, sufficient EMP attacks of sufficient strength can and will disable the repulsors and leave the wearer stranded and immobile. The armor also features the same drawbacks as Beskar (ie. physical attacks and kinetic attacks will bleed through to an extent through the armor) and requires Popo to literally be removed from the armor to repair any damage dealt, which can be problematic as Popo is too heavy to move himself without aid at this point.

Classification: Multipurpose Heavy Armor
Weight: 1 Metric Ton (1,000 kg)
Quality: 10
Other Feature(s): The helmet contains systems similar to both the Warrior Helm and most Mandalorian Helmets.

As thou'rt wearing a tank of miniature proportions, with various and sundry weaknesses, a single cannon of the blaster sort doth not seem o'erweening. Thou hast, bestowed upon thy person and thine effects, my writ of execution for approval, although upon a secondary seal it doth perpend.
