Carnis is a very jovial, bubbly, takes-nothing-seriously kind of person, which acts as a sort of double-edged sword. In battle, he uses it to throw people off, to distract them, and give him the opportunity to strike a lethal blow. However, he doesn't limit this personality to his enemies, he's like that with LITERALLY everyone, which has caused him to be less than well-liked among his fellow Sith. Most of the scars he has are for stupid reasons, like talking back to a superior, or wearing some Darth's office curtains as robes for a holoshoot. In short, his wit is both his greatest tool and his heaviest burden.
His defensive abilities are pretty lacking too. While standard blaster and saber deflection isn't that difficult, Carnis is a very "rush in first, ask questions later" sort of character.
In terms of overall lightsaber and force ability, Carnis is currently sitting at around above-average. Enough to take on a mid-level Jedi Knight or something equivalent, but not much more.
APPEARANCE:
Carnis is a pale-ish man with messy blonde hair. His once sky blue eyes now burn a fiery Sith yellow, paired with the signature scars on his face. His skin and hair make him look entirely human, but his voice is rather smooth and effeminate, a hint at his Zeltron heritage for those who are familiar with the culture. It's also how, despite being riddled with scars, his skin remains incredibly soft to the touch. Looking at him from a glance, the untrained eye wouldn't think he's a Sith. Unfortunately, to the untrained eye, a glance is all most of them get...
BIOGRAPHY:
(Please note that this character was originally created in a SWTOR-based setting, and this current bio will reflect that. I will, of course, update it to reflect this timeline once I've read more information, so just treat what's currently here as a sort of skeleton biography. A bioskeleton, if you will.)
Born on Corellia sometime around the war between the Republic and Sith Empire, Okuro and Misu Ishimoto joined the Imperial Military at the age of 16. They, along with their friend Yurik Astor and the rest of their squad, were posted at a checkpoint in an Imperial-occupied area of the planet. After fending off several Republic trooper attacks, the Republic opted to send a Jedi Knight, who proved to be a much greater challenge. Okuro and Misu first tapped into the Force to subdue the Jedi, being taken to Korriban to undergo their Sith trials now that it had been discovered that they were Force Sensitive. A Jedi Master named Gruum, who had been operating on the planet undercover, had offered to bring them to the Jedi Order instead. Misu, along with most of the other students, accepted this offer. Okuro, on the other hand, did not, staying on Korriban and completing his trials until he was taken as the apprentice of Darth Lauter.
Once an apprentice, Okuro decided to cast his prior name aside, going by the name Carnis. Lauter was a very abusive Sith, and every slight mistake was met with horrific punishments. The most notable were the slashes along the face with a lightsaber, giving Carnis his signature scars along his face and neck. Carnis, however, didn't seem to be too burdened by it. He didn't seem to be too burdened by ANYTHING, really. He was always a very goofy, fun-loving person, and being a Sith didn't change that. During the First Battle of Ach-To, Carnis reunited with Yurik, now a Lieutenant in the Imperial Navy, and met a Nautolan labour worker named Val, who he brought aboard his ship to join his personal crew and, the most notable crew member of all, a Porg he found who had taken a liking to him, who he named Mr. Fuzzykins. Despite having formed his own crew and operating mostly of his own free will, Carnis was still at the beck and call of Darth Lauter, who viewed his formation of a crew as a threat. After boarding his ship and threatening the lives of his crew, Carnis finally stood up to his old Master, and after a long, hard-fought duel of the fates (Heh, get it?) Carnis was able to defeat Lauter, decapitating him with his lightsaber. After proving his superiority, he took on an unoffical "apprentice" of his own, a young Togruta named Elpi.
This is Carnis's story so far, but worry not...it's only just beginning!
