GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Unit Name: Lord Captains of Burzalgor
  • Affiliation: An'fâug'lir, Warmaster Nyâsh
  • Classification: Command, Elite Warriors, Augmented
  • Description: The Lord Captains are the direct leaders of the Graug and Gundanbard Warbands in the Army-Tribe of Burzalgor. Only the most capable warriors are given the improvements and added weaponry of these hulking warmongers. They are granted the right by the Captain-General, the supreme commander of the Army-Tribe, even though his Chief-Commanders may give out the honor during battle as well if the current leader should fall. Rarely acting as unit together, but rather split up to take command of warbands, they often wield the insignia or colors of that warband.
COMBAT INFORMATION:
  • Unit Size: Medium
  • Unit Availability: Common
  • Unit Experience: Trained
  • Equipment:
  • Combat Function:
    • Tactics: Straight on battering the enemy with big guns and mighty blades.
    • Goals: Find strong enemies and kill them. Lead weaker Graug to battle. Win glory for the God of Maces.
    • Function in Army: Combat and tactical leaders of larger warbands. They are not a diverse fighting force and rely on transports to get into combat.
    • Training: Graug or Gundanbard do not train, they are born warriors or die meagre weaklings.
    • Recruitment: The strongest and bravest are selected to become Lord Captains by their Captain-General, based on their achievements in battle.
  • Force Abilities (Force User Units Only): No

Strengths:
  • Zeal: They are extremely zealous towards their worshipped leader.
  • Strong: Physically extremely capable on their own, it is only increased through the application of cybernetics or exo-equipment.
  • Discipline: While absolutely devoted to battle and combat, the Lord Captains are very disciplined and understand the use and sense of tactics, commanding their troops.
  • Melee experts: Wielding big guns does not make them good shooters - they live to engage the enemy in cose combat.
Weaknesses:
  • The Force: They have absolutely no defense or resistance against Force based attacks except for what the species is offering.
  • Difficult to control: To gain control over them you need to give an exceptional show of strength and power.
  • Lost to instincts: Despite their discipline, when they smell victory and triumph, they are breaking into a blood frenzy to not let the enemy escape.
  • Cult of Axes: Due to the enforced culture, even the smartest Lord Captain is still a dim light in the brightness of the Galaxy and aside from instinctive cunning, does not know a great deal about strategy or leadership.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Burzalgor is the name the Graug and Gundanbard gave to the 'rich lands' gifted to them by the God of Maces, the Crown God, on Baûrgrim and since they settled there have come under increasing influence of Dark side energies and powers, both passively and willingly. The tribes have grown in size, fed and bred, unleashing war between each other or even against the city-states of Baûrgrim itself. This violence is tolerated for as long as it serves the purpose of vanquishing the weak, the decadent and complacent.

Organised into a mighty army under the command of the Captain-General of the Army-Tribe, the Graug and Gundanbard have become highly organised and disciplined in their very own interpretation, taking liking in fancy titles, ranks and especially the tools and toys the Dread Forges provide for them.

In this organisation, the Lord Captains are heads of warbands, the most rudimentary combat unit of the Army-Tribe. They are chosen by the Captain-General to succeed their predecessor if they decease or prove weak, the latter often in duels to death in front of the warband. They are the backbone of the Army-Tribes performance in battle itself, leading the minor flows of bodies to the direction intended. Made possible by the connection given to them by the Mind Stones, wordless communication with other Lord Captains, the Chief Commanders or Captain-General, the Army-Tribe can fight efficiently while communicating without coms or signals.
