Arguing between a deep voiced droid, and some fellow with a catharese accent, can be heard on the audio recording, most of it incoherent because of how distant they are. Some key words can be heard however, such as 'soup' or 'warcrimes'. It's then that the muffled arguing ends as footsteps, both metal and leather, approach the microphone.
"Ah, -bleep-, it's on. Uhm...uh... Hello hello? I dunno if the mic picked up anything before this, but on the off chance it did, ignore it please. Anyways. Name's Talohn Atar, Mandalorian mercenary. It's a simple job, comes with pay, room, and food. Basically, while I can fly a ship, it's not my expertise. So I am looking for someone who can fly a ship. I need an ace pilot to be exact. Now, I'm going to give you a warning here, this crew only has two other people, and one of them is....eccentric."
"Breaking spines for fun does not make me eccentric." A droid's voice can be heard saying, before Talohn gives a 'shh'. Responding to the urge to be quiet, the droid suddenly yells. "THIS IS TALOHN ATAR, AND I AM A STUPID PIECE OF-" Before the sentence can finish, there's a loud ding as the catharese merc hisses. "Can you not? This is kind of important. Just go...like, pretend to torture dolls or whatever it is your horrid droid brain makes you do." With irritated grumbles, the droid's metal footsteps can be heard going off into the distance.
Talohn audibly sighs into the mic. "Where were we? Oh, right. We pay by the job. You'll get a share of the pay we make when working together on jobs. Any jobs you do by yourself? Money's all yours naturally. Same goes for everyone on the crew. Except for the droid. It's uh...banned from being alone in public, and not by me." The cathar clears his throat. "Anyways, along with a place to stay on the ship, you also get our weapon and tech expertise. Need me to hack or repair something? Make some bombs? Customize some weapons? Me and the droid both will provide for all your weapon needs. We have some spare slugthrowers that we could make real pretty for-" The Cathar is interrupted by a little girl.
"Talohn, have you seen my laser pen?" The cathar scoffs. "Uhm...uh, where did you get a laser pen?" The child giggles. "Made one. I'll assume you haven't seen it then." With that, little footsteps are heard scurrying away. Talohn returns to the mic. "That brings me to my next point. You have to be tolerant of children. There will be one on this ship sometimes, and you'll need to be kind to her. She's...had a rough go of things. Anyways, I promise, the pay is good. Hell. some of the pay will be in beskar. Anyways, contact info is attached with the message, just send me a holomessage and I-....Monari, where did you get that?"
"It was hissing at me in the corner of the cantina on tattooine. Look at it's cute little eyes!"
"Monari, those aren't eyes those are OH STARS THOSE ARE TEETH." Talohn can be heard frantically standing up with hurried footsteps. Distant sounds of Talohn screaming, "OPEN THE AIRLOCK", repeatedly can be heard as the recording ends.
