Looking For Alchemists

Howdo!

It's been a long time since I've inquired about alchemists, in fact I don't think I've really asked for any alchemical training or assistance since [member='Kära Vi'dreya'] was a wee young Apprentice... Most of my alchemical needs I can just push through her, and they're few and far between.

That being said, when Llevi is out in the Galaxy I was wondering if anyone would be willing to help her make her first steps into either biological alchemy or metallurgy? I'm not sure if this is still as restrictive and almost taboo as it once was. I plan on her dabbling mostly on her own, but I do still feel as though having a firm foundation would be best.

Are there any experienced alchemists still out there, willing to give a newbie a shot?

[member="Llevana Helas"], the question that many of those who do know alchemy will ask, What are you more interested in/best for your character?

I know that most people on the site aim for Metallurgy, and as such, will find more people available to help you. Biological will be a little harder, and I think another person who can maybe help around with that is [member="Matsu Xiangu"], as she delves in Necromancy/Sith Magic that relies heavily upon biological manipulation.

Talk to Jon, he has multiple characters who can throw in the towel to help, and he currently has a thread open for discussion of alchemy. Its to teach more people about IC, and OOC aspects of what to do, and how to do it. Link here > http://starwarsrp.net/topic/97757-alchemy-workshop-pm-to-join/

I can help out as well. I know applications of Metallurgy over various characters I have done it with.

I won't lie I find it a little ironic that your suggestion for BioAlch is Matsu, given that she's the only person Llevi has come into contact with yet!

That aside, it was BioAlch I was most interested in (as I say I have a Metallurgist), but I'm mostly looking for her to find inspiration in an alchemist which would lead her to her own experiments.

Thank you for your reply. Yeah I'll speak with Jon I just don't want to make him any more busy than he already is! No point in me joining the thread though as there's no legitimate way for her to be part of it right now.

I would like her to dabble (just a little) with Metallurgy, more for scientific/studious purposes, so I may take you up on a thread offer. But I am hoping to go more the Bio route!

Keyword is talk to Jon. He has a lot of ideas you can do on your own, or solo threads to "discover" about alchemy and do very small things like change the color of an animal and how it acts. "docile creature into a ferocious one." I recommend Matsu because she focuses on Necromancy to such a degree she can make armor out of it, and even alter living beings with it. In a sense, it's Alchemy, but on a completely new level. So if you learn how to alter dead, and alive people, and a mix of the two, You can mess with the smaller stuff, and learning a bit of metallurgy would increase that to allow you to delve a little in mixing metal with biological. There is only so much you can do on one end of the spectrum.
