  • STRENGTHS
    • Communications hub- The Lonestar is designed to function as a mobile communications base and command center for extended law enforcement operations away from the Sector HQ.
    • Neutralizer- The weapon loadout and ammunition are designed to neutralize ships rather than destroy them, especially for preventing fleeing ships from escaping law enforcement interdiction
    • Mobile Base- There's enough room in the ship for four smaller patrol ships for the accompanying Ranger team patrol ships, as well as a mobile investigative lab.
    • Reinforced Brig for prisoners
  • WEAKNESSES
    • Not a warship- Compared to the corvettes of the Republic Navy, the Lonestar is lightly armed, and relatively lightly defended. Can't stand up to an extended conflict with even ships of its own class designed for conflict.
    • Mobile base-Still considered a capital ship, lacks the maneuverability and speed to chase down smuggler vessels or other smaller criminal vessels, instead relying on the Ranger teams and their patrol ships and engines to evade danger.
  • DESCRIPTION
With the re-establishment of the Republic, Judicial Forces, and the Sector Rangers, they found themselves needing a fleet of their own to accomplish their mission directive. With Republic Engineering Corporation already fulfilling contracts for the Republic Navy and Grand Army, it was easy enough to get another, smaller contract with the Judicial Forces and Sector Rangers, who needed smaller, more specialized ships. Rather than relying on the automated, heavily armored ships of the Navy, the focus was on corvettes and patrol boats capable of extending law enforcement operations throughout the assigned Republic sector. That meant long-range ships capable of running Sector Ranger investigations and holding prisoners. Building from the Avalon class corvette, they adjusted the design, stripping out some of the features and replacing them with ones more suitable to the law enforcement mission. A reinforced brig was installed, as well as a forensic crime lab, tractor beams, and Conner nets, along with a small mechanical workshop for equipment repair. The ships were meant to be cheaper to produce and build than their militant counterparts, as a concession to those concerned with the militarization of the Republic. By choosing not to turn law enforcement vessels into warships, it shows restraint and a different focus for the Judicial Forces. Weapons were limited to quad-laser turrets, ion cannons, and a flex warhead launcher, predominantly with ion torpedoes and Conner nets, but with the capacity for heavier warheads should the need arise. Otherwise, a tractor beam was installed. Beyond that, there was little armament included, with the philosophy that these corvettes were to function as mobile command centers, coordinating logistics, communications, and other essential support systems. Initial prototype runs were successful and within a few months, the first wave of ships was deployed to the Sector Rangers soon after the Frozen Hand War.

Hangar Space: Average
  • Hangar Allocations:
    • Starfighters: 0 squadrons
    • Support Craft: 4 patrol ships
As we round down for hangar space, this technically becomes a 100m vessel for the purpose of working out how many squadrons it could conceivably field. At an average rating this would be zero. I recommend checking out the template for reference if needed.
  • Speed Rating: Above Average
Above Average is also not a valid rating. Do you mean High?

Apologies for the delay - I must have totally missed the notification.

I think you're still a little confused here. These ratings are based on squadron counts, not individual ships. I'm assuming you'll want to replace this with '1 Squadron', as the alternative for 4 squadrons would require you to have a rating of extreme.
