Description -
The Locust class cruiser is designed to be Bastet’s flag ship. The ship is to show the technology of Ankhypts ship designers and the construction talent of Ubrikkian Industries as well as the wealth and status of Ankhypt to the galaxy. It is a ship that is not built for war it could be viewed more as a venue for presentation of a individual and a world.
Followers of Bastet believe she is to rule more than Ankhypt and they are to convert everyone to their religion. However this system of beliefs is in its infancy at only 1500 years old compared to others that have been around almost since the birthing of the galaxy. This ship is the first step to reach out to the galaxy.
The vision is that the ship will change and evolve as the power and status of Bastet grows which all remains to be seen.
The ship design could be viewed in two ways as a dagger set to stab out at the galaxy, or a large etherial creature of flight meant to entice and lure. The wings fold out from the main hull of the ship adding to the imagery that is meant to be created when the ship is seen crossing the galaxy. While many designers would prefer to keep all of the luxury inside the ship this design wants to show the precious metals found on Ankhypt in each design. The gold and brass tint to reflect the sun and provoke thought and conversation.
Intent – to create a flag ship for Bastet
