Intent: Create a new race specific technology for the Resu people to be used in place of normal circuits and conduits
Development Thread: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/97496-the-fruits-of-our-labor-the-kathol-outback/
Manufacturer: Resu tech and Gallofree Yards Inc
Affiliation: 'Open market'
Modularity: 'No'
Production: limited, "The Kathol Outback", "Resu characters", and "Gallofree Yards customers"
Material: Liquid Metal Hydrogen, Pure water, Resu plastoid

Strengths:
Resistant to EM and Ion weapons (up to 50% depending on application)
Resistant to slicing
Self-healing system (much like organics)

Weaknesses:
Exotic components
High maintenance costs
Repair is more like surgery

Description: A technological innovation originating within the Resu species prior to galactic contact, the discovery of a liquid metallic form of hydrogen deep within the highly pressurized atmosphere of the Realm of Resu, came as a great boon to the exotic species. With their innate understanding of electricity and the nature of metallic substances (a benefit of their biology and civilization's proximity to geothermal vents), they were able to harness the superconductive possibilities of circuits and conduits utilizing this pressurized material. Using advanced pressurization techniques utilized to extract the material from the atmosphere, they were capable of containing these liquid circuits in a field suspended in an insulating layer of inert pure water. This proved to be incredibly advantageous for the Resu's development of technology, making their technology highly resistant to ionic energy and electromagnetic bursts while maintaining their incredibly fast processing speed. In addition, outsiders would find it extremely difficult to hack into a technological device crafted by the Resu, considering that the complicated circuitry is more analogous to an intelligent nervous system than a computer, especially when it is cybernetically connected to a Resu "Navigator", allowing their thoughts to control their technology (whether it be integrated into a ship, or some other vehicle) at unimaginable speeds. This allows for a depth of control few biologicals have ever experienced, save for those sensitive to the force or who are already heavily technologically modified, or otherwise revered as skilled the galaxy over.

Unfortunately, there are drawbacks to the use of this advanced "lightspeed" supercomputer technology, the components necessary for its construction are both exotic, highly specialized, and require quite a bit of physical space to house. While there are applications of the technology that can fit onto the Resu frame as cybernetics (say, for the purpose of connecting an individual's mind into a vehicle outfitted with a LMH "Nervous" Circuit System), it is not as good at protecting from ionic energy as it would be if given the proper amount of space for the complete package of components (though if they are piloting a vehicle utilizing this technology, ionic protection becomes largely irrelevant to the pilot).

Ultimately, despite its resistance to damage and outside interference disrupting this technologies' incredible processing speed, this technology suffers from necessary exotic components and a need for space, limiting its production and increasing the cost of maintenance.

Yes please, if only because of the ion/emp resistance.

What is Resu plastoid?

To clarify, are these circuits resistant to ion/EMP because of the inert pure water insulating layer? Or is that a property of the liquid hydrogen itself?

limiting its production

Production: Mass-produced
I would probably lower the production from "mass-produced" to something lower to reflect its limited production from using exotic components.

[member="Gir Quee"] - Thank you for taking the time to look this over, below is my follow up to the questions and requests you made, please let me know what else is needed and I will address as needed.

Standard 10 poster or you looking for something more?

Basically same as regular only a little more pliable similar to artery walls (no real difference than the regular stuff)

The water layer, the Hydrogen itself is actually a superconductor which is why it is so heavily shielded.

Done

At limited production, I think that 10 posts is fine. With that though, I would change the affiliation to reflect limited's production level as in the template:

Limited (Only A Select Group Of NPCs/PCs)
Some affiliation options might be "The Kathol Outback", "Resu characters", or "Gallofree Yards customers".
