Character Lin Zanula

Lin Zanula was born to a family of indentured labourers of the Sith Empire originally from Atrisia during the Imperial Civil War. Her early life was defined by chaos and squalor, her home caught up in the back-and-forth campaigns between the Imperials, Sith and Ashlan Crusade. After the final destruction of her village, Lin and other refugees were forced to travel from place to place, foraging for food. The Sith Empire 'saved' her from chaos and misery by way of the Saaraishash, when Inquisitors discovered her Force Sensitivity among the refugee group.

Lin was thus brought up in the Saaraishash and indoctrinated with the ideas of the Sith. She learned to value order and craved swift vengeance against those who would cause chaos. Under them, she honed her combat, pursuit and Force skills. Her training was cut short when the Empire collapsed and her academy was destroyed in battle.

Lin spent the next few years wandering the scarred worlds left in the wake of the wars. She survived off the land, but even this was insufficient given the scorched nature of the world. During this time, she truly learnt to hate the chaos of the galaxy and the whims and forces that kept the Galaxy in such a state; the ungrateful Imperials, zealous Crusaders and even the self-serving Sith who fell apart once concerted effort knocked on their institutions.

Using the techniques her Sith masters had taught her, Lin shadowed roving bands of armies, Sith and Jedi alike, and ambushed them, stealing their supplies and slipping away. Lin developed her Force Drain powers in this time, tracking down Force Users and killing them, feeding on their life force. She targeted the most unstable or potentially dangerous of these Force Users, satiating, in her mind, some twisted sort of justice.

As the civil war wound down and armies left the devastated region, she found it harder to hunt and survive off the detritus of these armies. However, she eventually caught wind of the survival of the Sith Order. Lin took steps to track them down for more kills to satiate her hunger and to pass judgement on the Sith (whom she felt, in the collapse of the Sith Empire, were little better than the chaos they claimed to oppose). Meanwhile, members of the Sith Order itself also sent agents to track down Lin due to her attacks on Force Users in the recent past, seeking to turn her or destroy her.

Eventually, she clashed in battle with the Sith Order agents. Holding her own against them, the nascent Inquisitorius took an interest in her, and the Inquisitors soon decided to try to win her to their ranks and to turn her into a tool for their cause. Recognising her potential, the First Father clashed blades with her and parleyed, manipulating the young Sith, inviting her to join them and promising her more power and more chance to impose order on the chaos around them. He told her of the mission of the Inquisition and the Sith. Promising her a place of power and respect, Lin accepted and pledged herself to the Inquisitorius. He inducted her as a member of the new Inquisitorius and granted her the rank of Fifth Sister. After undergoing their trials of skill and loyalty, Lin has been trained and further honed into a dangerous weapon for the Inquisition to use against the enemies of the Sith.
