Lightsaber time to shine! (Yuroic/Seth)

It was time for Seth to gain his own Lightsaber, it was the first big step in the Jedi's path. The Lightsaber was not just a weapon but a symbol of the Jedi, it was symbol of the training and resilience a Jedi had through their training. Yuroic had spent months, near a year before he was ready to get his own Lightsaber, learning the Lightsaber Forms and learning how to cope with weapon and not harm himself. Seth had to start with similar beginnings as Yuroic. It was good to see how well he had progressed with his combat skills, becoming more capable as a Jedi, it was nice to see that he was beginning to settle into life in the Silver Jedi Order.

He decided to do the Lightsaber construction in the Tech facilities of the Silver Rest, it had plenty of the materials needed to make a Lightsaber. Seth had his own crystal already, gaining it while on a mission with another Padawan. It was good to see that he was making friends and Yuroic was hopeful that it didn't distract him too much from his own studies. Yuroic was wearing a loose top and baggy trousers as he took a seat in the room and stretched out as he looked around. The room was filled with tech materials and blueprints, it was quite the room.

A proper weapon.. A lightsaber was supposedly. Seth, admittedly had come to admire the weapon on a conceptual level. Having been wielding a practice saber for the past while. So, when Yuroic, who Seth noted was officially coined as a master. Summoned him to finally construct his blade. Seth had to admit he was a bit excited. Any padawan was when they were giving the go ahead to construct their blade(s) Seth already had a idea what he wanted.

When Seth arrived at the room. Yuroic specified he should meet him in. Seth politely bowed to his mentor. He was dressed in forest green robes, with loose but nice black pants and black boots for this lesson. It was a change in his look to a slight extent. Though fitting for the moment. Considering a lot of things were changing. Seth took out his chunk of Tempestite. While it pulsed in a cheerful context. As if though understanding, Seth was about to use it for something important finally. He had spent quite a bit of months meditating upon it.

Seth set it on a table. Then looked around at all the components that were present. "Is this truly all available to me to work with?" Seth inquired as he turned his attention to [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] wanting to be sure. He was also curious should his mentor have any instructions for him.

Yuroic watched as Seth entered and took a seat. He smiled to his Padawan and leaned back looked over the various objects, Yuroic shook his head as he listened to Seth ask if everything around the room was for Lightsaber construction. "No, not everything, but there is a lot of materials to make Lightsabers." Using the Force, Yuroic brought the items that Seth would definitely need to construct the Lightsaber. After that, he brought in boxes of various objects that could be used to personally design the Lightsaber and give the hilt a personal touch that defines a Jedi's Lightsaber to another. "These are the pieces of material that you can use and may want to use"

Yuroic then placed his Lightsabers on the table, using the Force he deconstructed the hilt, revealing the process of creating a Lightsaber. "Now, watch carefully so you can correctly construct the Lightsaber as it can be tricky to get right the first time around." Yuroic then slowly pushed and joined the pieces that were necessary to get the Lightsaber to work. "Now you try so we can see if you know how to do this." Yuroic stated as he watched Seth carefully.

Seth watched the boxes he would need to work with. While he listened to his mentor. Well, he should of guessed other things were stored here, besides lightsaber parts. Which was the focus for the particular lesson his mentor was providing. When master Yuroic finally called his attention to his person. Seth tracked the voice to studying the blade of his mentor. His eyes having predatory focus as the blade was stripped apart into all the separate components. Including the shard of crystal inside. Honestly, this was not the first time Seth experienced such a procedure. Though it was the first time it was done with a blade beyond that of the padawan Seth had experienced a fair few journey's with.

Seth focused on paying attention to how the parts melded together. Until the blade was one in itself again. Seth then looked to Yuroic. Then nodded his head as he took his mentor's blade. Then began to strip the weapon apart and set the pieces in a space that was clear. While he made sure to track where in correlation to the blade he was pulling them from, and the position they had been in. Finally, Seth began to slowly piece them back together, one by one.

Occasionally, Seth had to make some minor adjustments. It was his first time after all, and making sure the focusing lens was situated properly proved one of the few areas. Seth took a moment longer handling. As he wanted to be sure the lens was not ill situated for when the lightsaber got activated. Though with a bit of time. Seth had the blade pieced back together. While he studied it and double checked to be sure. Finally, Seth turned towards [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] and first activated the blade. His expression neutral despite his slight nervousness. Though when the blade sprung into existence. Seth sighed in slight relief. Glancing and making sure the blade and hilt were intact. Before he de-activated it and returned it to his mentor.

Yuroic was slightly surprised when Seth took his own Lightsaber, he had thought Seth would have worked on his own rather than Yuroic's Lightsaber but nodded his head and allowed the Padawan to work on the Lightsaber, pulling it apart then reconstructing it as best as he can. It took awhile as it did with many Padawans doing it their first times. Yuroic was slightly concerned with letting someone else touch his Lightsaber but he could not help it as he didn't want to stop Seth attempting to practice in the building a Lightsaber. When Seth was sure he had done it right, Yuroic could sense to nerves that were heavy in Seth no matter how stoic he acted.

When the Lightsaber, ignited then extinguished before being handed back to Seth. Yuroic deconstructed the Lightsaber with the Force then placed it all back together with the Force. "To build your Lightsaber, use the Force, close your eyes and just picture the Lightsaber you want and build it. Only open your eyes when you are sure you have constructed it." Yuroic stated as he clipped his Lightsaber and leaned back as he watched Seth carefully. It was a proud moment for Yuroic to have his Padawan at the level ready to use a Lightsaber.

Seth nodded and got down into a kneeling position. Closing his eyes and calming his mind and thoughts. Till he succeeded in silencing even the smallest hint of uneasiness. From there he suppressed thought. Until he was working with a single set of thoughts towards his task. As well as attuning himself with the force. So, that it could guide him in his task. It merely took him a short bit of time to accomplish it. Well, a lot quicker than when he first had tried to.

Then, when Seth was ready. He began searching for what blade suited him best. What style he needed, what forms he planned to implement, how simple or complicated his blade should be. Color scheme. He realized after a bit. Two blades. An image slowly forming into his mind. A shorter blade, and a longer blade. The crystal separated into a few shards. One of them being noticeably smaller than the rest. While Seth focused and felt the force guiding his actions and thoughts.

Slowly he reached out and began gathering parts. Focusing on the main blade first. The parts slowly melding together. Till the crystals were ready to be placed into it. Oddly he felt like adding byfurcating cylical-ignition pulse feature. Then the rest of the blade was constructed around that skeleton. Seth's breathing was quite slow through this process. Though he didn't quite finish the hilt. Instead getting the shoto started as well. Cosmetics and such could be focused on lastly.

When finally two blades were noticeably in design. Seth focused back on the main blade. Now constructing the design of the handle. Slowly parts began forming together. Till the hilt began to finalize in appearance. Seth was going for a hilt colored black and cobalt. The design otherwise was simple. Slim with the intent to easily be concealed. Though thick enough to house the components and be viable for combat situations.

The shoto followed suit to the main blade. With the exception of a black and charcoal grey color schematic. As slowly that blade two came to a finish. Seth worked solely off how the force helped show him what he needed. Of course this process took a short bit of time. Though soon Seth reached out and caught the main lightsaber in his main hand, and the shoto in his off-hand. Opening his eyes and looking towards his mentor.

It took time and Yuroic watched patiently as Seth began his construction of his Lightsaber. When the boy started to create two blades, Yuroic noted it was an interesting change but not too surprising. He had gotten to know Seth's preferred combat style throughout the many duels that they took part in. His preference was a single Lightsaber in their duels but Yuroic knew that Seth often tried to use two melee weapons to gain an upper hand in duels. It never worked against Yuroic yet but he knew that Seth could give some young Knights a run for their money. Seeing that the second Lightsaber was going to be shoto, it made sense and was a good move. The hilts seemed to be basic but that was also Seth's style, he never wanted to have something to show off and be noticed.

"Good to see you construct your new Lightsabers, shoto and normal Lightsaber is unique and is short to give your opponents something of a disadvantage when they think they have an upper hand." Yuroic rose and placed all the several boxes and leftover items back into their storage. Looking at the Lightsabers, Yuroic nodded his head. "Well, since you have made them. If you like we can give them a test with a duel, there will be a setting on the Lightsaber to reduce the dangers of the blades to be more like a practice saber than the deadliness of them at full power." Yuroic stated, curious to see if Seth wanted to train with his new weapons.

Seth activated his blades which hummed into existence as a sea green blade which caused the air to fill with a mild static. The intensity of the light was impressive for a lightsaber blade, and it crackled and hummed as Seth moved them through the air in a smooth motion. Then de-activated them and looked to his mentor. A warm smile on his features for the moment. "I would most certainly appreciate testing them out and training." Seth expressed while he looked for the setting to lower the blades intensity for at least the duration of a spar. Plus. He was still determined to find a way to get the upper hand against his mentor somehow.

Seth then looked to his mentor. Then around the room. Before wondering if his mentor wanted them to go to the sparring sands, or if he had a different place in mind. While Seth focused on supressing his excitement so he could focus on fighting to his fullest potential.

It was obvious to see that Seth was pleased with his Lightsabers. Yuroic nodded his head, it was good to see that he got the Lightsabers that he wanted. There was clearly thinking going on in Seth's mind on how he could get an upper hand on Yuroic, it was curious that the Padawan was so competitive with the much older and much more experienced Jedi. Yuroic usually kept his competitiveness with other Jedi Padawans, but if Seth wanted to be competitive and work hard to beat Yuroic, then he would have to work very hard to gain a win. Yuroic would never let his students win, it taught them nothing and his way showed them that they needed to learn so much more.

Walking to the door, the room they were in was far from perfect for a duel. Too many things to get in the way and potentially break, which the Jedi tech-heads would never let him forget it. The training sands was the best place to do some training. Standing in the middle of the training sands, Yuroic ignited one of his Lightsabers and held it firmly in his grip. "Ready to begin?"

[member="Seth Brackson"]

Seth clipped his shoto to his belt. Before he drew his main blade and activated it. Then de-activated it. Repeating the process a couple of times to get a feel for it. It was only slightly different as aside from being present when activated. Seth acknowledged the blade was quite similar to the one he practiced with. Seth activated it for a last time as he took a stance with his blade. Watching his mentor Yuroic with restraint not about to rush in unless he knew his game plan.

When Seth figured his first set of moves and responses. He slowly closed in the distance. Testing to see if patience would reveal something he might of missed in fights before. Which he doubted though fights before he had been more focused on learning and less focused on analyzing. While Seth finally made a jab towards the shoulder. Striking quickly and precisely and seeing how Yuroic decided to dodge or redirect his blade so he could begin turning momentum into a slight advantage, while being wary in not getting too hasty or cocky as he struggled with before.

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

Seth had been making good progress with his combat skills. Yuroic watched and waited on the Padawan, his Lightsaber hilt in his hand but he had not yet activated it. While Seth was still making progress, the Padawan still had plenty to learn as this was the early periods of his training, it would take years to master a Form. Yuroic having only reached a close mastering of Niman recently, spending a decade learning all he could on the style and the best ways it could be used. The calculated approach was smart but Yuroic figured that Seth was still desperate to prove himself in his combat abilities. Yuroic had been the same when he had been a Padawan, constantly been beating up by other more skilled Padawans, Knights and even Masters when he was first learning.

Gliding his back leg out of the way, he held Seth's arm and pressed his Lightsaber hilt against Seth's side. "Dead, you overexposed yourself. Careful to make sure that you are protected when striking, that you have something in case I go in for a counter strike. Need to think three, four moves ahead, don't try predicting the entire fight but guide it into position where you will win. If you are too focused on one move at a time, your opponent will be able to disrupt you easily like I have." Releasing Seth, Yuroic moved back away and waited for Seth to try another attack. His eyes focused on Seth, analysing his opponent.

[member="Seth Brackson"]

Seth flinched more at the word Dead than he did having his arm trapped, and a hilt dug into his side. He looked to his mentor and observed what Yuroic was trying to tell him. Seth admittedly agreed fight control was an area he struggled with. Either he was too re-active and short sighted, or trying to calculate too many things at once.

When Yuroic freed him. He guaged his mentor once more. Seth was tempted to throw in some force techniques. As now that he was better at understanding the force. Paired with his naturally large reservoir for unleashing energy. He felt more confident taking that approach. Seth also was aware by now his mentor knew Seth almost as well as the back of his hand, and Seth wasn't quite sure he would be able to catch Yuroic off guard in a favorable manner by taking such a route. Then again Seth more so didn't feel it would be right for him to do so. On the first hand it wouldn't help him improve his blade skills, nor improve learning how to control a fight. In addition it would in a sense violate the flow of the force.

Seth focused back on Yuroic while he decided he would try to while keeping as collected as possible. Try and use a few series of jabs and slashes, to direct Yuroic to his left side. Before Seth attempted to go low with a leg sweep to try and trip his mentor. Then rose up readying his blade in a defensive manner in case he needed to draw towards the defensive.

[member="Yuroic Xeraic"]

Watching Seth, Yuroic could see that Seth was deep in thought, thinking on how he was going to attack. Where should he strike, it was all calculating but in a duel like this, it was fine but for real conflicts a fight there would not be an opponent wanting to kill you. Waiting, Yuroic was patient in his Padawan to decide how he wanted to approach this second bout. Gripping his Lightsaber tightly, Yuroic watched as Seth approached and attempted several strikes at Yuroic. Ducking, dodging and weaving, Yuroic was able to avoid most of the blows without having to expel most of his energy. The sweep was interesting move, it was something that Yuroic could see and slid backwards.

Using the Force, Yuroic blasted sand up into the air as he darted forward. The sand was a distraction, making it difficult to see Yuroic through the sand. His Lightsaber ignited and Yuroic moved fast on Seth, striking high in an arching strike. The blow was aimed for the head as he composed his breathing and focused on a second strike to the side while he was holding his second Lightsaber discretely in preparations for a strong defence.
