Marzena was on the lush ground of the jungle, blood covering the front of her white blouse. She took a rasping inhale, her hand stretched outwards but fell limp and the last breath escaped her red lips.
“Cut!” Came the director’s voice through the megaphone.
“Finally...” Marzena grumbled as she sat up and brushed the sand out of her long dark hair. She had already been quite irritated when they’d started shooting this particular scene, and after several takes her mood had not improved. A production assistant helped her to her feet and she looked to see the director approaching.
“Marz, that was splendid.” He sang her praises. “Now, that’s a wrap for your scenes. We’ll call you back if there are any re-shoots, but I think we’re good.”
And with that the crew of the HoloFilm set to work breaking down their scene and preparing for the next ones... all of the scenes that did not feature Marzena, for her character was now dead. It hadn’t always been planned that way, for her character’s demise had been the result of a last minute re-write. The director had assured her that this would allow for the biggest impact for her scenes, and had also lit up her hopes for a larger role next time around.
The actress walked away from the set, heading back towards her transport. It wasn’t very far, but she was already dreading the trek in the humid air of Felucia. She realized that she might have looked a bit odd walking along with a bloody shirt, but she didn’t really care at the moment... she was far too depressed. Her dark eyes fell upon the dusty ground, watching as her boots kicked up sand as she walked.
Suddenly she felt something slap against her ankle and she looked in horror as a massive vibe wrapped around her boot. Marzena screamed, but knew she was likely too far from the set for anyone to hear.
