Lights, Camera... Action! (Jonathan)

Marzena was on the lush ground of the jungle, blood covering the front of her white blouse. She took a rasping inhale, her hand stretched outwards but fell limp and the last breath escaped her red lips.

“Cut!” Came the director’s voice through the megaphone.

“Finally...” Marzena grumbled as she sat up and brushed the sand out of her long dark hair. She had already been quite irritated when they’d started shooting this particular scene, and after several takes her mood had not improved. A production assistant helped her to her feet and she looked to see the director approaching.

“Marz, that was splendid.” He sang her praises. “Now, that’s a wrap for your scenes. We’ll call you back if there are any re-shoots, but I think we’re good.”

And with that the crew of the HoloFilm set to work breaking down their scene and preparing for the next ones... all of the scenes that did not feature Marzena, for her character was now dead. It hadn’t always been planned that way, for her character’s demise had been the result of a last minute re-write. The director had assured her that this would allow for the biggest impact for her scenes, and had also lit up her hopes for a larger role next time around.

The actress walked away from the set, heading back towards her transport. It wasn’t very far, but she was already dreading the trek in the humid air of Felucia. She realized that she might have looked a bit odd walking along with a bloody shirt, but she didn’t really care at the moment... she was far too depressed. Her dark eyes fell upon the dusty ground, watching as her boots kicked up sand as she walked.

Suddenly she felt something slap against her ankle and she looked in horror as a massive vibe wrapped around her boot. Marzena screamed, but knew she was likely too far from the set for anyone to hear.

Jonathan had traveled alone to the outskirts of the Silver's territory. He wanted to have some him time to cope with things going on in his life. His father, Jericho, was gone again and there was no telling when he would return. His mother he had no idea where she was. He looked at his hand, clutched in it was a lightsaber with a silver blade. On top of all this, they wanted him to be a Jedi, but he wasn't sure he wanted all that. Sure, he was good at heart, but to fight in wars? There had to be more than wars in this Galaxy. If he joined, would he ever get out?

His attention was brought back to reality as he heard a loud boom. He looked over in the direction of the sound from his perch high in the trees. He saw nothing, but he was curious. He began to work his way down slowly as the branches on this planet were a bit unpredictable due to the weather so he did not want to rush it. Once he was close he dropped to the ground with a thud and feel forward a bit as he lost his footing, but quickly regained it.

He made his way through the woods until he found a bunch of people. He climbed up to get a better view and he saw, a movie? It seemed they were shooting a movie of sorts, but then something caught his eyes. A woman covered in blood leaving and looking upset. This puzzled him so he moved through the trees following her and trying to figure out why she was covered in blood. Things changed quickly as she stepped on a trees sensitive, exposed roots and it lashed out with it's fines. Jonathan moved and ignited his lightsaber, He jumped from the tree to attack the vine, but was smacked by a defending one and knocked away and into a near by tree. He let out a cry of pain, but struggled to return to his feet.

He was now being attacked by vines himself. He tried to focus like the Silver Jedi and his Father had taught him, but he was too filled with energy. He slashed at the incoming vines to try to fight them back. One slash took one out, but another broke through Jonathan's defense and slashed his arm. He once again cried out, but hacked it up in return. He ran towards the woman jumping over incoming vines and used one to shoot him at her where he sliced it and freed her and they both went rolling down the hill a bit.

Once they came to a stop he looked up to see it wasn't over, so he took her hand, "Come on, we have to get out of here!!" He pulled on her hand in urgency and tried to lead her as he ran trying to avoid the attacks as the whole area was turning on them. He dodge a few, but received even more slashes.

Marzena’s dark eyes widened as the jungle flora seemed to spring to life around her. She tried to loosen her boot to escape the vine’s grasp, but it was already too tight. In her mind she imagined a handsome warrior springing to her aid, and carrying her off into the sunset... but that was a bit too romantic for the present circumstances. She let out a startled cry as motion caught her attention; a young man had come to save her... a very young man. It was clear that he was a Jedi, at least judging by the weapon that he carried. She had never had much interaction with the Jedi before, so she was a bit captivated by his entrance. However, it seemed that the jungle was nearly getting the best of him... a few times Marzena even covered her eyes, she didn’t want to see anyone get killed today.

A few moments later she felt his hand take hold of her, and realized that he’d cut her free of the vine. She let him pull her away from the scene, but not before a few whip-like tendrils snapped against her arms. Luckily none of the plant life took hold of her again, but they did leave a few red marks where they’d made contact. Her heartbeat was echoing in her head as the pair ran for their lives and when she felt safe enough to stop, she bent over to catch her breath. Marzena was fairly fit, but running in terror was a whole different type of cardio workout... one she did not wish to repeat anytime soon.

“T-thanks.” She stammered between breaths. “Are you okay?”

Marzena’s usual sass was nowhere to be found... for now at least. She frowned at the thought that no one from the set had escorted her back to her transport. Little did she know that there had been a production assistant and an armed guard standing by for her, but she’d slipped away without their knowledge.

Jonathan looked back at the scene they had left. It looked like a war torn world that he didn't want to return to. He looked at the woman he had saved, now being closer he saw she was a bit older than he was and the blood looked...off, the wrong color, something about it seemed fake which made sense with the movie. He was still on high alert ready for something else to happen, but the forest seemed to forgive them.

He shut off his lightsaber and was brought out of focus by the girl, "Ya, no problem. I am fine, I have been through worst." He stood up and looked at his arm and sides that had been cut and began using what little training he had from his father on healing to seal the wounds and stop the bleeds. Sadly, he did not know how to repair skin so it would leave scars. He wasn't actually sure where they were. It was true, he was young, but also knew very little about being a Jedi. He doubted he was a Jedi yet anyways. "Are you ok? Anything broken or bleeding?

Marzena watched with mild interest as the young man set about healing his wounds, she’d never seen anything like that before... aside from special effects in HoloFilms. She took a moment to survey her person to see what damage had been done, a few bumps, bruises but she was mostly fine. There was a red patch on her arm that was starting to look a bit rashy... it did concern her, but she figured that it was nothing.

“I think I’m fine.” She said with a small nod. “So, what’s your name?”

She figured that she should be polite enough to find out what she should call her savior. It was a bit curious as to what he was doing out in the jungle, but perhaps he could be of some help. They were well off the beaten path and she had no idea which way to take to her transport. The actress sincerely hoped that the youth happened to know his way around Felucia.

A slight rustling in the bushes behind her made her turn around... there was nothing there. At least nothing to be seen upon first glance.

Jonathan looked over at [member="Marzena Choi"] and held her hand out, "Oh, I am Jonathan Hex, nice to meet ya!" He then saw the mark on her arm, "May I?" if she said yes, he would use the Force to heal her a little. He then stood, offering her a hand up, "Oh, I never caught your name..." He looked around them, trying to figure out where they were, but this was his first time on the planet so he was a bit unsure of himself. As he heard the noice, he turned sharply and unhooked his blade, prepared to ignite it, but unsure of the sound and did not want to jump to conclusions.

Marzena accepted Jonathan's help to get to her feet, and she nodded a few times when he gestured to her arm. If he could heal her, then it would probably save her from having to rush directly to the dermatologist. She rolled her sleeve up to reveal the area on her arm that now appeared quite red.

"My name is Marzena Choi." She said with a nod, half expecting him to look up with amazement... but she also knew that her name was only just getting out into the galaxy.

Being surrounded by the strange and foreign flora of this place was making her feel uneasy. She'd never held much of a liking for plants, but she never thought that she'd meet any this vicious. Little did she know that the wilds of Felucia harbored things that were much worse...

"Do you think we should keep moving?" Her eyes darted about. "Maybe we can find a path back to the landing area?"
