Length: 0.30 Diameter
Weight:0.22kg
Special Features:
- Lightsaber resistant
- Extremely light
- Can emit electricity to cover the "hilt."
Strengths:
- Exotic, rare weapon: Hard to combat if you have no experience fighting against them.
- One "disc" can split into two more thin discs.
- Can only be used by the maker.
- Extremely light providing faster throws.
- Due to thin, almost knife like edges it can cut through lower grade metals like durasteel upon impact.
Weaknesses:
- Due to the extreme light build, it is impossible to throw them without the Force. Ie, If connection to the Force is blocked, they can't be thrown.
- The spot on them to hold is made for smaller hands thus the likeliness of grabbing the wrong spot is high from people not highly trained in their use.
- Can not block blaster shots due to the thin, small blades.
- Pretty useless to high quality metals like beskar and Phrik due to low weight, unless struct the same spot more than 6 times or spots already made weak.
Description:
In search of a weapon that not only fit Lynn's unique personality and agile fighting style she began research in non traditional lightsabers. Finding nothing that suited her ideals, she began researching the art of "freezing" a laser beam to make the lightsaber. With the same concept of the Lightwhip, she began development of a light-based boomarang. She first build a disk able to hide very tiny crystals. It was built with two emitters only three inches apart. Using the concept of the light whip the blade would create two blades that wrapped around the blade creating a thin, but highly concentrated blade. The hue from the emitters makes the disc look to have one consistent edge, with no safe space to hold it. Can be twisted onto a back holder.
The blade itself is small, extending at all angles for 3/4th of an inch. One blade can be twisted and separated to make two thinner disks, but they still remain as strong as one blade. While they are virtually weightless, in the hands of a Force user they can be thrown with incredible speeds and made to arc or be thrown in multiple different ways, even bounced off other objects. If a non force user tried to throw one, it would go for a yard then flip out of control and flop to the ground. Due the incredibly thin blades, they can be thrown with enough speed to cut through lower grade metals. With the permafrost crystal, they only activate if the maker is using them. Inside them are tiny emitters than can be activated through the Force to create electrical charges bouncing along the blade's hilt. These emitters provide the weapons with enough electricity to emit to the nerves and cause temporary paralysis for up to 10 minutes.
The downside of these weapons is the weight and size of the spot to hold it. They require small hands to hold it and a connection to the Force to throw it and activate the emitters. They also require a high level of training just to use and to completely Master takes far longer than a normal lightsaber to use. Since the "handle" is not visible to the naked eye it makes just the mere holding of them to require adequate training. While being almost weightless makes them deadly fast in throwing, it also makes them only fast and not heavy enough to penetrate metals harderer than durasteel.
