SPECIAL FEATURES
Augmented Strength: Due to the servos, and the very nature of crushgaunts the gloves augment the wearer's strength allowing them to crush bone, metal, even going so far as to allow one to lift more than they usually would without the gauntlets.
Striking Force: With the inclusion of Vibro-generators and the repulsor generators the gauntlets enhance Li’s punches and blows allowing sonic vibrations to travel through the surface he strikes and at times sending people flying depending on the force he strikes with.
Strengths:
Lightsaber resistance: Much like every other crushgaunt made of Beskar Li’s gauntlet is capable of blocking/deflecting lightsaber blows and even going so far as to being able to catch and hold one.
Blaster Resistance: Incredibly resistant to blaster bolts once they impact the glove they usually disperse or are deflected off.
Kinetic Resistance: Having to deal with incredible kinetic force when striking objects the gauntlets can handle a decent amount of kinetic damage before being dented or damaged.
Empowered: The natural abilities of the crushgaunt increase Li’s hand-arm strength to the point of allowing the Jedi to grab and crush bones and metals and increasing his lifting strength, while the vibration generator and repulsors augmented his strikes.
Weaknesses:
Acid: Beskar is many things, capable of standing up to acid is not one of them, unless he wants to have a bad day Li has to avoid acid splattering on the gloves.
Heat: While capable of blocking and even grabbing sabers the heat from them can eventually leak through cooking his hands/arms inside the gauntlet.
Unwieldy: Being thicker than the average gauntlets along with the ability to crush so many things it makes it more difficult for Li to wield weapons, pilot ships, ect. While wearing the gauntlets.
Heavy: The weight of these gauntlets even with servos can tire out the wearer after extended periods of use.
Numbness: After extended periods of use the vibrations from the gauntlets can eventually numb Li’s arms.
Break an arm: Throwing a proper punch or striking is very important when using these gauntlets as if one isn’t careful they could easily break their arm due to the generators implanted within it.
DESCRIPTION:
At the beginning of his training with Kreus due to his aversion to lightsabers Li was advised to find a weapon that fit him. Having spent his time delving into Martial arts and preferring hand to hand combat over any others Li set to the task of creating these gauntlets. The most difficult part of acquiring the gauntlets was the rare resource of Beskar in which despite not wanting to Li was forced to contact seedier individuals to acquire the materials. The next task came down to contacting someone who knew how to utilize and forge the metal into what he required.
With the rampant spread of Beskar use it was relatively easy for Li to find one capable of crafting the gauntlets akin to a regular set of crushguants. For the first few months of training with them, Li noticed a significant increase in his hand-arm strength where he was capable of crushing bone with relative ease and with effort capable of doing the same to metal. They went so far as to even allow him to lift several times his body weight. However, this did not provide enough oomph when it came to striking objects. Going to his master and asking for assistance in this matter Li was told enlightened on how vibration generators were once used to increase the cutting power of swords and knives which the Atrisian possessed no knowledge of due to his aversion to such weaponry. Blending the knowledge with what he possessed on Repulse-hand tech Li went back to the drawing board. Implanting both a vibration generator and micro repulsors into the crushgaunts it now allowed his striking power to be enhanced to the point of breaking bones, sending people flying or even denting metal depending on the strength setting of the repulsors. While the Vibration generators would send out sonic vibrations on impact allowing them to travel through armor and to the targets body.
Now possessing gauntlets Li found himself ready to combat the Sith who wielded sabers as well as the other enemies of the light that wore heavier armors. This did come with the downside that the gauntlets were incredibly heavy on his arms and he’d have to eventually take them off experiencing exhaustion and soreness in his muscles. The second being that lingering vibrations from the gauntlets could eventually numb his arm after enough blows/strikes were thrown.
