LFG - The Search for the SunGem

The darkness lays ever near the light.
Hey guys!

I am currently looking for a group to join me on my quest to find the SunGem - An ancient starship that was once used by Jedi Master Arca Jeth as a mobile Jedi Training facility during the Great Sith War.

We will be taking a trip to Onderon - the last known location of the SunGem. Beware though, as we will have to navigate it's harsh jungles and avoid the hazardous Fauna while also defending ourselves from a gang of pirates who are also on the search for whatever treasures may lay inside it's buried wreckage.

A fair amount of prizes and items will be on offer during this (hopefully) large event - and writers will be awarded based on their awesome content and contribution to the story as a whole.

Who knows? Perhaps there may be some items of interest up for grabs inside of the wreckage...

This Event is sponsored by Torr Industries.

[member="Darren Torran"] This looks to be an interesting trip, but did you check in with the Mando'ade staff? ICIly the SJO and Mandos aren't on very good terms atm, and this is set in their capital system. I know this is a privately sponsored trip with no malicious intent, but I want this to make sure this is known to them as well.

Ah, I see. I couldn't actually find the planet on the faction map so I didn't actually realise. I'll check in with them.

[member="Darren Torran"] Their capital "planet" is Dxun, which is one of the moons of Onderon. The Mandalorians have been mulling over raiding SJO space, and I don't want to give them a legitimate reason to do so in a move that may be perceived as an unprovoked incursion. If their staff is okay with your trip, then I don't have a problem proceeding on Onderon, but if not, then I'd recommend choosing a different location.

Indeed. The location of the ship's wreckage is never actually clarified and so anywhere associated with Arca Jeth could work. Hopefully I'll hear back from the Mandos tomorrow.

[member="Arisa Yune"] Same here. I'm in good with the Mando'ade, and if they allowed for the expedition to take place I might be able to join the group as a 'guide' of sorts, mostly. Sure, not really familiar on the layout of Dxun, but thats why the holonet exists.

[member="Kurayami Bloodborn"] Cool, if we have some sort of guide/chaperone from the Mando side to tag along, then I'd prefer that. I have some small hope that this may pave the way to improve Silver Mando relations.

I've got the go ahead from the mandos - providing we do not interfere with their affairs. Also, I was told by their GM that he hadn't interacted with the SJO since he had come into power - perhaps an opening for peace or alliance talks?

[member="Darren Torran"] Awesome!

I don't mind talking to the Mandalorians in general, but the issue is that their Mand'alor (whom I'm assuming is still Vilaz) is chummy with the Zambranos. That could present a roadblock, but I'll float the idea past Kad to see if he's interested. Wouldn't hurt to have the Mandos in our corner.
