  • Can use different types of ammunition.
  • Can create a close range ion burst.
STRENGTHS
  • Precise: With extremely low recoil, the rifle can fire longer volleys without loosing out in its precision - despite the fact that it has a quick rate of fire and powerful bolts. This means that the user can make highly efficient attacks against any foe they set their sights on.
  • Adaptable: Capable of both housing different attachments and different ammunition types, the Levin Flash-Rifle can be adapted for almost any situation and comes with a dual mounted scope, laser pointer per default.
  • Ion burst: With a built-in ion burst module, the rifle can produce a close ranged burst of ion which can disable droids and stun organics - either after one or more bursts depending on constitution and other protection.
WEAKNESSES
  • Dependent on attachments: Without attachments, the rifle has clunky iron-sights which makes it hard to aim and therefore make use of its high accuracy. While the weapon was originally designed to be relatively light and elegant, the attachments can make it clunky.
  • Unique sounding: This weapon has special sound to it when firing and can be likened to the sound of throwing needles at a metal bucket - this makes it harder to blend in during a battle as foes will eventually learn to recognise the sound of this weapon.
  • Switch time: After having fired an ion burst, it takes a few seconds before normal laser bolts can be fired again. In the field of battle, a few seconds can be of utmost importance.
DESCRIPTION
With his martial upbringing, Mathieu Brion's knowledge of anything blaster related is relatively impressive. While his usual home-made items can seem illogical and confusing to the uninitiated, the Levin Flash-Rifle was of an elegant design. Still, rugged and sturdy, the rifle can take a hit or two before starting to suffer in functionality.

The intended use of the rifle is well suited for a Jedi. With its high accuracy, it can target specific foes in a chaotic battlefields or non-lethal areas of the body when being at close enough range to choose. While rifle's often lack explicit stun-modes like blaster pistols, the Levin Flash-Rifle can also do that through its ion burst. While it requires the target to be at a relatively close range, it is a much safer way of disabling someone than using blaster bolts.

While it carries a range of attachments per default, these can be removed if the mission calls for something less bulky. It should then be noted that accuracy might suffer because of it. Another example might be if the laser pointer is replaced by a flashlight which might help in dark areas whilst it makes it more obvious when the rifle is pointed at someone compared to the more discrete dot of the laser pointer. These trade-offs can and should be taken into account by the user of the rifle for optimal effect.

On the field of battle, the Levin Flash-Rifle can be a sturdy and durable force to be reckoned with, capable of causing a surprisingly small amount of death compared to its otherwise impressive firepower.
