STANDARD FEATURES
ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Stealth Boat: Outfitted not only with a stygium cloak but sensor dampeners and a TibannaX tight-beam engine, the monitor corvette is extraordinarily difficult to detect.
  • Capital Killer: The Leviathan's capital damage scale is inverted. Its assault concussion payload is most effective against heavy cruiser, destroyer and battlecruiser class vessels.
  • Impervious: Impervium hull plating allows the monitor to withstand tremendous punishment and even submerge itself in lava or the outer layer of a star rendering it virtually undetectable.
WEAKNESSES
  • Guidance Systems: The Leviathan's main weapon systems are unguided and particularly vulnerable against ships with high speed or maneuverability.
  • Down Periscope: A retractable main sensor dish compromises the corvette's stealth systems while in use. To remain undetected the monitor must deactivate everything but close range sensors.
  • Point Defense: If engaged by a starfighter or light support craft the monitor can mount very little resistance.
DESCRIPTION

Extraordinarily expensive and time consuming to produce, very few old Sullustan Monitors remain in operation after the First Order war. Nicknamed 'coffin boats' by their crews, the Leviathan is a tiny cramped ship with no escape pods and poor ventilation. Every piece of extra space has been sacrifice to fit the corvette with a stygium cloaking device and oversized heavy assault concussion launchers. Its tight-beam ion drives leave very little trace but operate at reduced capacity for a vessel of the monitor's size and profile. Leviathans often 'run silent', shutting down auxiliary systems and even reducing engine power to minimal in order to avoid detection.

The monitor's twin heavy assault concussion missile tubes are powerful weapons capable of eviscerating an enemy capital ship in a few volleys, even less if they strike critical systems or their prey's shields are down. Each missile is coated in reflec and also rigged to burn TibannaX, masking their contrails so they don't reveal their source. Unfortunately its launchers are entirely unguided and requires manual targeting from the monitor's conn. This vulnerability requires the stealth corvettes to get right on top of their target and reduces their effectiveness significantly against smaller or particularly agile ships. The backup AG-2G laser cannon uses a refined tibanna gas that renders its bolts invisible to the naked eye.
