  • 1x Heavy Artillery Class Particle Cannon
    The Leviathan carries within it a an incredible weapon capable of devastating larger ships and everything in its path. Within the core of the ship is a small nuclear power-source which is sealed off solely for the use of this weapon. Using Fission, the Leviathan creates a nuclear blast of charged particles which it fires directly in front of it. Little more than a scaled up ship variant of other particle weapon artillery, though simple, the effect is monstrous. Capable of ripping through all but some of the strongest shields, ionizing armour to weaken its composure and breaching hulls with powerful kinetic and thermal force to create 200m explosive radii of destruction from the point of impact with an electromagnetic fallout which can interrupt systems lingering for a few minutes should nearby ships not be shielded.

  • 64x Capitol Class Ion Cannon Batteries
    Heavy Twin-Linked Ion cannons set up around the ship, 20 of them forward facing to amplify the Leviathan's core damage output while the remaining 44 line the ship in rows placed at the top and bottom of the ships' small wings in groups of five, and along the four diagonal faces of the ship at the front and back in groups of three. The cannons are equivalent in strength to the average turbo-laser, though are more focused on bringing down the shields and systems of enemy craft. The Cannons are capable of hull damage, but are not as potent at it as it's more thermal reliant cousins.

  • 20x Warhead Launchers.
    On the lower hull beneath the ship's wings lay 10 missile tubes in groups of two stretching along that level, spreading out its offensive load-out, the turrets are capable of swiveling to locate a target and have a greater area of range and are each belt loaded by ammo stores manned beneath the surface. Taking about 5 seconds to reload and fire a second missile.

  • 20x Point Defence AG-2G Quad laser Cannons
    Much like the behemoth, the use of smaller laser cannons as point defense turrets line the exterior of the ship, the AG-2G turrets provide quick movement speed and firing rate making them able to deal with fighters and light craft, as well as being manned to allow for a greater level of piloting skill rather than simply being automated and readable, as well as not draining the processing power of the ships targeting array any further.

  • 2x Gravity Well Projector.
    Finally, complimenting the ship and to trap the ships it ambushes, the Leviathan is outfitted with 2 Gravity Well Projectors mounted at the front of either of its wings in order to trap the victims it flanks, the projection width of the beam expands in a conical fashion at about a forty degree angle in front of the ship, The gravity wells can be angled into different locations or focused in front of itself to better cover a single larger area.

Hangar:
  • Hangar Bay:
    The Leviathan is able to carry approximately 12 fighters and 4 freighters within its two, smaller multi layered hanger bays to either side of the ship. The hanger bays, unlike most ship hangers are two storied with a center atrium where there is no dividing floor, allowing them to deploy. While most hangars on ships have enough room to segment their hangars, few do so, allowing the Leviathan to better use each square meter of space it is allotted and put nothing to waste.

  • Escape Pods:
    The Leviathan comes equipped with an array of escape pods, each of them are equipped with a distress beacon and basic life support systems as well as three days rations and basic survival gear including an outfitted first aid kit as well as a breathing mask for hostile atmospheres. The pods are capable of planetary entry and can each fit approximately ten adults. The ship is outfitted with enough escape pods to jettison its maximum crew and passenger size. Though unlike the Escape pods of other ships the pods of the Leviathan are slightly more armored, equipped with maneuvering thrusters and are pointed at the base, allowing them to be used as breaches for boarding parties into hostile ships.
Special Features:
  • Armour Strength:
    The Quadranium Armour of the ship is exceedingly strong, though it comes at the sacrifice of shield strength. It is strong enough to outclass basic hull armour materials like durasteel and plasteel, but makes the ship overall heavier and slower. The reliance on a stronger hull than a stronger shield stems from that ship shields can often be tracked due to their energy signatures, so the Leviathan, while cloaked, is more reliant on its armour which is strongest at its front and base while being more vulnerable at its back and sides.

  • Shield:
    Basic deflector shield generators are installed in the Leviathan at either side of the bridge to cover its size. It is able to sustain moderate dedicated hits before becoming overpowered and is able to route power to specific locations of the shield in order to make it stronger. Additionally, the shield is not able to remain active in tandem with the ships personal cloaking device, making the ship over-all less reliant on its shielding and more reliant on its above average armour.

  • Cloaking Device:
    The key selling point on this Heavy Cruiser is its high grade cloaking device, capable of eluding common scanners as well as physical sight. The personal cloaking generator cannot be operated in tandem with the weapons and shielding of the Leviathan, meaning that the cloaking field needs to be dropped in order to open fire on a target. But simply having the high quality field enables the Leviathan to have incredible ambush capabilities combined with its gravity well generators. Though the cloaking is not perfect as scanners which are specially able to pick up and view magnetic signatures are capable of seeing the Leviathans position.

  • Long Range Encrypted Computer/ transmitter:
    A communications computer equipped with an encryption module enables hidden messages to be sent and decoded within the Leviathan at both short and long range. The computer also boasts an encrypted holonet connection as well as being connected to the hyperspace computer which also runs through its own series of encrypted processes in order to maintain the security of its stored information. Each encryption module for each ship is slightly different, much like a serial number wording its information slightly differently so to identify each ship by its information and to ensure that cracking one module, does not crack them all.

  • Targeting Array:
    A basic ship-class range-finder and array which is capable of predicting motion and trajectory of enemies and projectiles, and calibrating weapons accordingly. The targeting array is used for radar locking missiles as well as the radar feed sent to the point defense guns to aid in their targeting.

  • Life Support:
    Stock Standard life support systems are installed internally within the Leviathan to support the life of those within the vessel as well as provide false gravity etc.

  • Scanner:
    A basic scanner capable of scanning using sound or various light spectrums / EM signatures.

  • Generator:
    Twin Hypermatter Generators power the Leviathan as well as a small Fission reactor to power and arm its devastating main weapon, while the hypermatter generators merely support the weapons complimentary systems which prevent the weapon from being a massive power taxation on the craft itself.

Maneuverability Rating: 12
Being a heavy cruiser with the Quadranium composed hull, the maneuvering capabilities of the Leviathan are stunted to begin with, though it is able to bank and tilt itself in any direction with the use of its etheric rudder and repulsarlift engines it is incapable of any particularly fancy flying solely due to its class.

Speed Rating: 4
Though while the Heavy nature of the Cruiser may be sluggish when it comes to turning, the space hulk is deceptively fast when it comes to moving in a straight line, abe to keep up with ships many times smaller and more nimble in formation due to its massive thrusters and speed of acceleration in the vacuum of space. Though, when under the forces of gravity and atmospheric pressure, this drops to nearly nothing, often needing much of its power to merely stay airborne.

Hyperdrive Class: 1
A large and to date hyperdrive is outfitted into the Leviathan capable of rushing it from place to place at incredible speed allowing it to respond quickly to signals and arrive in the midst of battle as a means of reinforcements on the battlefield.

Description:
The Leviathan is a Heavy Cruiser worthy of being named after the ship of a long dead Sith Lord, the largest ship of the three Therion of the Sith Assassins and by far the most potent, the scientists who worked on the particle beam within the heart of the beast worked tirelessly to up-size and incorperate a planetary artillery cannon into the belly of the ship. The philosophy of the Leviathan's construction was to act as a command ship for lesser groups and as a heavy assault ship in greater formations capable of using its stealth drive to take points of strategic advantage in combat and flank enemies from multiple sides and angles. Keeping true to the name Assassin, the Leviathan is made to 'assassinate' ships of its own size class, though the penelty for its singular powerful weapon was the cost of the sheer number of guns which had to be with-held from the design. Aside from its singular massive cannon the Leviathan has little in the means of offensive coverage to the sides, meaning strafing runs in battle become almost impossible and being outflanked by many smaller, faster ships is truly the leviathans' weakest point.

To attempt to cover this the Leviathan uses slightly more advanced point guns in the form of AG-2G Quad laser cannons, but against a sizable force this attempt at covering its own weakness becomes a mitigation at best, requiring the Leviathan to then rely on its powerful thrusters or cloaking device in order to preposition itself or its hyperdrive in order to leave the combat area and return later at a more advantageous position.


However, though its raw combat output in drawn out combat is not favored, the LEviathan is not useless in larger scale combat... its powerful ion cannons as opposed to turbo lasers allow the Leviathan to act as a sort of fire support ship to those it is around, dropping the shields of enemies and shutting down their systems in order to push the advantage of the fleet it is in. Not to mention that its escape pods are designed to act as breaches for the Sith assassins in order to board other nearby ships. Allowing sith, or trained assassins to be able to enter the corridoors of enemy ships and take control of them. A tactic which has proven effective time and time again.

Though, the remainder of the ships' systems are more or less stock standard, the Leviathan is a potent competitor in the skies of the galaxy.
