Letting Loose While Learning

Theseus had finally needed to admit. He was stressed beyond what would be relatively normal levels. Do to some happenings in the past weeks. It was time for him to let loose. Take a vacation. Take some time being productive. What better manner then for him to do so, then in an environment where he could train his first apprentice. While also introducing the man who he guided. To a second individual whom he would be tutoring. As, master was never a title that settled well with Theseus.

Theseus contacted his apprentice [member="Orex Mauda"]. Letting him know the time for staying low was over. To meet him in the space port. At the hangars. As Theseus had requested a leave of absence. To gather materials for crafting some new lightsabers for himself. As such whenever Orex arrived. When Theseus could determine if his apprentice had indeed listened to his instructions and trained in the manners he was told to practice while laying low. Theseus had a gift for him.

Theseus also contacted [member="Adrienne"] and let her know. If she needed guidance. Theseus would also like for her to meet him. At the space port on Commenor. As two apprenticeships. Was not what Theseus had planned. Though like his first apprentince. He had recieved a calling. Theseus believed it would benefit Orex in the sense it would give him a rival, and a possible ally. For future endeavors Theseus might task to his apprentinces.

Sometime down the line. Theseus needed to get in contact with [member="Voph"] once more. To discuss what components he would need. Once he acquired the crystals to craft the blades. He guessed it would be costly. Though he wasn't concerned about funds. Theseus was learning the importance of spare lightsabers. So, he was intent on making sure he had such. Plus, a new main set was in order. In addition upon his return to Commenor. He needed to get in contact with his superior in terms of his job upon the world [member="Darlyn Excron"] to discuss some lightsaber sparring.

All in good time however. For now he just waited along the hangar. Of the world he considered a home for the first time in awhile. Waiting to see if he would be guiding a single apprentice on this journey, either that or a healthy pair of them.

I received the communication with great pleasure. More and more I was beginning to grow bored of my activities on Coruscant. I needed something more. More control, more significance. All in due time, and this communique was progress. Finishing off some minor business, I boarded my HWK-290. Having painted it black with red and white accents I thought a name was in order. I'd recently come up with "The Burnt Hand".

While The Hand traversed hyperspace on its way to Commenor, I sat in the crew cabin and meditated. Pulling apart my Mentor's Lightsaber. I watched as it floated in pieces before me. Feeling all components and tuning in with the energy contained in its purple crystal. While I meditated I drew feeling and knowledge from what it had seen. Something I'd been doing for the past weeks on Coruscant. Slowly, I was learning from it. Learning of strength and power. Feeling what motions and techniques it knew and slowly embracing them.

My meditation was cut by entry into orbit around Commenor. I returned to the Helm and navigated my way down to the hangar I was coming to familiarise myself with. Having landed, I could feel [member="Theseus Reneun"] in close proximity. I adjusted a belt and took his Sabre into one hand, walked to the bay door and waited as it began its descent.
Soon I lay eyes upon Theseus, waiting a few steps from the foot of the ramp. I walked down the ramp, greeted my Mentor with a bow of the head and handed him his Sabre.

"It has served me very well. Thank You. What are your plans?"

Theseus stood patiently as [member="Orex Mauda"] came to him. Handing him the saber he used in pair with his main handed one. As he took it and studied it. Before offering it back out to his apprentince. "I sense you have done what I asked and have learned what you could about the blade. Therefore, for it is now yours until such time as you no longer find use for it." Theseus expressed. While he clasped his hands behind himself.

"For our trip. As we'll be travelling off world. We will be gathering lightsaber crystals. Particularly Dantari, and Ghostfire crystals. As I intend to craft myself some new blades. These ones have served me well. However, I feel that I could use a change. Having spares is not a bad idea either." Theseus expressed to his apprentince. While he began to pace left to right. "Before we head off however. I am waiting for someone to arrive. Who will be training along side of you. She was like you once a slave, though is now free, and is in need of guidance as well. I feel as if though I can set her on the cost most proper for her. However, if ever she proves herself more so a liability then a asset to our group. Then I may have you hunt her." Theseus worded himself carefully. Before he looked towards the hangar. Waiting to see if [member="Adrienne"] would be joining them in the near future.

He then turned back to Orex and chuckled. "In the meanwhile. I suppose you could use a new lesson in the force. I told you I wanted you to learn all sides. So, you could fully understand everything." Theseus expressed and motioned for a place for Orex to position himself. "Kneel. Close your eyes. Center your thoughts. Control your breathing.. And damping your senses. Until there is only you and the force." Theseus instructed. "Reach out with the force. Then began extending what you see through it. To the people around you. Particularly the crew men of the ship. Don't be alarmed if you cannot detect me. I will be shielding myself. I want you to focus on how the force flows through them all, and then. I want you to try and sense their emotions. Do not mess with their minds, do not read their thoughts, just focus on the emotions.. And the force.. And see how they both flow together."

I took the sabre back, somewhat surprised. But that was to be expected. I wasn't used to the idea of Surplus Lightsabers as I'd only ever had the one, and always regarded them as a unique, rare object. Regardless, it would prove very useful.

[member="Theseus Reneun"] spoke of his other apprentice, much like me she suffered a similar past. One of pain, and servitude. Quickly I took a liking to her and hoped I would be meeting her soon. But such friendly thoughts were cut short as Theseus continued;

"If ever she proves herself more so a liability than an asset to our group. Then I may have you hunt her."

Regardless of the common past and mentor, My thoughts quickly deteriorated and I began to settle myself in the idea that none are to be liked or regarded with appreciation unless they have proved themselves in some way. Now, I simply thought of this other apprentice as a rival, a potential enemy.

We stopped moving and I watched as Theseus paced, as was his manner. A new lesson, something I never grew bored of.

"I want you to focus on how the force flows through them all".

I looked around, watching the steady movement of crew members and port staff as they moved through the day, through life. They were cogs in an eternal machine, neither producing nor taking. Simply being, with no significance. I knelt to one knee, lowered my head and closed my eyes. Gazing into the darkness all I saw was anger, pain and malice. Flashing images of the suffering I'd dealt and, amidst it all, a Singularity of raw energy. One consisting of fluctuating darkness and a subtle red mist. This was me in my purest form. But I had to move past that, beyond the fury and out, into the world itself. Slowly, silence began to engulf me. The movement of life outside my own head became nothing but a distant whisper. I could feel my own presence, but not my Mentor's. He simply faded. Reaching out I felt the nearest organism. A man, young, cleaning a landing gear. Pulling him out of the background silence I began to focus on his existence. Almost immediately, like a reflex, my attention went to the bones in his body. My manipulation of the force felt his joints, his tendons. Everything that could be distorted. But I let that go rather, felt his very being.

He was bored. Very bored. Without opening my eyes I could see his form, stood straight and wiping the leg of a small spacecraft. Around him flowed that energy I was all too familiar with. Blue, and peaceful it moved through him, but in a sense, not fully. It didn't Access him, simply passed through and ignored him. I reached out to that energy, that force, and felt what emotion it carried as it passed through him. Not just bored, restless. He longed for something. Anything. I could feel his ambition, his need to be somewhere he had significance. Out in the Galaxy, not scrubbing Dura-steel. An interesting specimen but one that I grew tired of quickly.

I was curious. I wanted to see what flowed through me, not pitiful, bored workers of the port. Never opening my eyes, I looked down at my foot, made out the outline of my body; My knee, my boot, the burnt hand of charcoal placed upon my leg. And there, like a river, that Energy. But it was different. The young man was felt by a force of blue harmony. Myself, I watched this river as it flowed through me, as it caressed my existence. But it wasn't simply a river. It was a raging rapid of Red. Red that whipped like a high-speed snake through my chest. Reaching out with more strength I could hear it. Not a whisper, not a chatter, it was a shout in my ears. I wanted to listen to it, hear what it said. But rather than a language, it was like all words, mashed together in un-intelligable noise that I couldn't bear to endure.

After what seemed like 10 seconds, I wrenched out of my focus with a grunt. I Stood from my knee and waited as the background slowly returned to my senses, Theseus returned to presence. I turned to face my mentor and ran through what I experienced.

"A river. A constant stream moving through all things, carrying feeling and emotion. Among the common being, that river is one of harmony and peace. Never changing yet always strong. Upon self-observation this river was plagued with rage. It moved like a snake on fire. But one that will never die, as if the fire gave it power."

Commenor Hanger

Adrienne looked upon the planet as the ship descended to the hanger. She saw the scar from the Sith occupation of the world when they had completely bombarded a planet. Then again the mandalorians had done similar to her own planet. Not that it mattered much anymore. She couldn't remember anyone on that world. Means she had less temptation to go back now the capital was burned to a cinder and many of her people including any family she likely had would be dead. However little did she know they weren't and they weren't exactly that far away.

The ship landed and she got up out of the co-pilot seat smiling at the astromech that had flown her here. "Please don't leave without me ok?" The astromech beeped at her and she giggled in a way she would when she was dancing for her masters. "I know you wouldn't just have to be careful, can't trust everyone." She stepped down the ramp and looked over the two men as they spoke of her. Considering they were the only ones standing around it had to be them.

She looked at the first one clearly the man who had saved her from the last cartel she had been within. He had been hooded then and he still was now. She had yet to see his face however she had learnt how to read people from body language and even how they had their hood. She was hardly surprised when both spoke about killing her if she became a liability. How long had she heard that in her life. However it did add to the boiling pot of rage deep within her as it deepened that even people she was to learn from may try to kill her. Perhaps in the coming hours she would learn how to kill them both effectively herself. Weaknesses, Vices, she would have to play them the way she had to her masters.

She waltz towards them hiding her distaste of not only them freeing her only to try killing her if she became a liability but also of the other man. She didn't even know him yet but him being the one to hunt her if it came to it made him the secondary target should it ever come down to it. "Apologies for being late gentlemen but it doesn't look I missed much considering I already feel like I am back in the cartel." She looked over the man as he came up talking about a river and a snake. "A river full of rage, such a simple understanding of emotions. The river should have a mix of rage, pride, fear, sorrow and even lust." She had felt all during her years as a slave. She knew all of them well and knew how and when to use them. She knew little of force abilities beyond occasionally being able to push a table into someone when not thinking and any one of those emotions. During those times she had felt what he had felt. Then again her family seemed to be able to connect to the force with ease when not thinking about it. However she didn't know that maybe one day she would.

As I finished my observation, I felt another approach from the side. Turning my head I watched as a young woman, marked by slavery yet walking with an elegance approached us. Beautiful, but I felt her rage. She was angry. As she came closer I felt her subtle anger wash over me. I immediately recognised the similarity between us. Here was a slave, mistreated and abused and she had the emotion and blemishes to prove it. But compared to myself, she had been pampered. Her childhood was a sugarcoated pain. That rage she harboured was quiet. She still had much to learn about what power lay silenced within her.

"Apologies for being late gentlemen but it doesn't look I missed much considering I already feel like I am back in the cartel."

Hmph. Attitude. I intended to be an easy ally to her but at present, it didn't seem like we would work well together. Her opening sentence lacked any real formality or respect. Nothing but humour and passive-aggression, an attitude comparable to that of an angry child. She had more to learn than I'd originally expected.

Externally, I overlooked these minor faults and simply greeted her like any new acquaintance. I turned the rest of my body to face her and bowed my head;

"Adrienne I assume. I am Orex Mauda"
