Nikolai felt the earth explode before him, and as it did so he simply closed his eyes. He hadn't been with his Master for long, but Selena had taught him something things already. Above all she had told him that with the force concentration was everything. So he closed his eyes, and concentrated. As the earth exploded before him Nikolai simply let it happen, and time seemed to slow. The air and dirt around him seemed to seize up, massive chunks of earth freezing in the air as he caught them with the force. He did this for only a few seconds, and then let the miscellaneous dirt be a shield against the brutes force push.

Then he simply let the earth drop to the floor. Just as he did so the masked man emerged from the tunnel and as the magician opened his eyes he could see the man for what he truly was, a sad pitiful being fueled by nothing but hate. Nikolai felt sadness for the man, he was someone who had no goals beyond murder, a truly despicable being. Nikolai felt nothing but pity for the man.

"Come to see more of my tricks?" Nikolai said it with a grin on his face. He shuffled the cards in his right hand, and then waited for the other man to make a move.

Jinn Sibot

Jinn stood and starred at the boy, his eyes trained on the deck of cards "Your tricks are nothing compared to the power of the dark side." Jinn growled, his breather sucking in air to force into his lungs. The sith, with a few twirls of his saber, suddenly lashed out at the boy, using the force to catapult himself forward. As he got in close, he used a force push in an attempt to knock the cards from the magicians hand as he swung his light saber for a decapitating blow.

Nikolai couldn't help but let out a chuckle as the man compared his tricks to the darkside of the force. Of course the Young Magician knew nothing of the Darkside, nor did he know anything of the evil that was the Sith or anything of the like. He didn't care either actually, he just wanted to make his tricks better with the force and maybe have some fun along the way. As the man lunged forward at him something tipped him off, something in his head seemed to pick and press at him. The force told him of the imminent attack.

The Magican clutched his cards, though it wasn't enough. More than half of them flew out of his palm before he could get a good grip on them. Before the marauding brute could reach him however Nikolai moved before he could reach him. Through years of training and lots of practice Nikolai had grown used to dodging large solid objects, a man was no different from a massive boulder.

So Nikolai simply jumped out of the way, simply using the force to guide his movements. Almost immediately after gliding away from the Sith Nikolai pulled three cards from his deck. He threw each of them at the ground before the Sith, hoping to blind the man permanently with Dirt and Shrapnel.

Jinn watched as the boy threw his cards into the dirt. Jinn had not forgotten those little bastards had given him last time, however, and quickly used the force to throw them from the ground and back at the magician "Can't fool me twice scum!" Jinn shrieked as the cards flew back to their master. The brute of a man cared little for how little the boy had learned about the galaxy or how young he was...all he cared about was spilling his blood upon the grass and dirt.

With a smirk Nikolai simply caught the three playing cards, each of them sticking between a finger on his hand. The playing cards were set off through a particular nudge with the force, only when they received that nudge would they explode. It was a safety measure that he had built into the cards themselves so no one could hurt themselves with them...or worse turn them on Nikolai himself. There was only one way to set the cards off, and the Magician was the only one who knew how.

Of course none of that helped him solve his current predicament. He could no longer fight the Sith using just the cards, the man could just use the force to rebuff him each time.

The Magician thought back to Selena and the things she had taught him. She had told him that the force, much like using ones own muscles was a strain on the body. It took energy to manipulate and use the force in different ways, Nikolai himself had experienced this after some of his longer shows. He already knew that the Sith had used an excessive amount of the force back in the Opera house, and though he had no idea of the mans Stamina he doubted that he could keep up with using the force so much for so long.

So the plan was simple.

Nikolai rushed forward for the first time in the fight, charging the Sith straight on. As soon as he got within four feet Nikolai turned his hand and flung it forward, once again throwing the three cards towards the bruteish Sith. Then almost immediately he touched them once again with the force, causing them to explode in a powerful fireball. As the flames surged towards both him and the Sith Nikolai formed a barrier of the force before him, shielding himself as the pressure and flames threw him back once again.

The thoughts of the previous narrator were correct, there was only so much a brute like Jinn could do in such a short amount of time with the force. The only thing that helped give him a buffer was his strange reactions to the darkside of the force, he could pull on the emotions of other beings to fuel his own reserve. This is why his master had told him that he would one day be the revival of the Sith Beserkers, he could last long periods of times using the force and not feel fatigued. This was a long term goal, however, and the Apprentice would either need to rest or find a place of dark energies to keep going.

As the cards exploded, Jinn found himself nearly engulfed into a ball of flame that shot from the cards. The sith held up his hands in defense as he was thrown back, only a small buffer of force to protect him. As he hit the ground Jinn's furry began to rise, every muscle in his body contracting with anger as he rose back to his feet. His stamina was running low...there was no dark energies in close proximity to be of help. He would need to give into all of his locked up anger and unleash a series of force attacks against the Jedi, like he had with his master during their first duel.

"You will pay light side scum!" Jinn's voice had grown demonic once again as the dark part of his mind was unlocked in this dire moment. The sith had a dark secret inside him, one that he did not even fully understand yet, but whatever the presence was it was strong. This would be a last ditch effort as this presence drained what was left of his energy, as it had on Roche, and there was not enough emotions to feed off of to make a recovery. He looked at the boy, his eye becoming black and reflective pits of evil as he charged towards the boy, throwing a massive ball of force energy at him.

Nikolai's own little trick had been quite bad for him as well. The force of the explosion had thrown him back into the field and had caused him to get quite a few cuts and scrapes. When he finally stood back on his feet blood marked his robes and patchy scorch marks ran throughout his clothes. The young Magician himself however was mostly okay. He looked up in time to hear the Sith scream something at him, due to the explosion however Nikolai was unable to hear it.

What he did have instead was the force, it screamed and yelled at him once again to the point where it was almost debilitating. He watched as the brute changed somehow, something about him growing more dark. Nikolai frowned, and then watched as the man threw himself forward once more. He felt the darkside of the force for the first time in his life. He felt the anger, the hatred, but most of all he felt the fear that it radiated.

The Magician reacted, for the first time in his life he didn't think about his next move. He didn't plan or calculate, he just moved.

Nikolai pulled on the force with all his might, calling to it like a small child. Luckily for him, it answered. The Magican threw down his remaining cards, allowing them to land on the ground before him, then he wrenched a nearby fallen tree from the ground, hurling it between himself and the on coming wave of the force. The two struck each other and the tree exploded, shattering into a thousand pieces. Massive chunks of wood flew towards Nikolai, striking him and some penetrating his flesh.

He flew backwards again landing several meters back from where he had just stood. As soon as he landed on the ground however he managed to claw his way back to his feet, just as the charging Sith stepped towards the spot where he had thrown down his cards. With only half a thought, Nikolai triggered them to explode.

Jinn Sibot

Child of the Darkness
Jinn, the demon of the dark, had seen the explosions coming before they even hit. The man that was once fighting the Jedi was gone, replaced by a creature of a bloodlust more powerful than anything most people have ever sensed in a being. The childhood of complete darkness on the forests of Dathomir had changed the boy, a boy who was nothing more than a victim of horrible circumstance that would forever curse him. Inside he was broken, a child who had been beaten and tortured by his own father for reasons of personal gain and greed. A boy who had no perception of good as good had never existed for him, the touch of his mothers hand, the soft fur of a teddy nerf, things that Jinn would never know...not even love from a family.

Indeed he was a pitiful and sad being, someone who was so broken and tormented by his past that he no longer had sanity enough to deal with his inner problems. This show of demonic evil was something that called upon all the fear, heartbreak, loneliness and anger the man had felt his whole life. As the cards exploded, the demon of a man cared little as he broke down the the fires particles and the shockwave of the explosion into a small ball of force energy. With his last bit of energy, Jinn redirected the fire and shockwave at the Jedi, a power that broke down the forces of nature into a controllable form. This was something that Jinn had no concept of how to do outside of this demonic form that acted more on its own than a tool for Jinn. With the last bit of his energy extinguished, Jinn fell to his knees and his eyes returned to their normal pigment. He felt so weak...father please...no...its not my fault...don't hit me with it again....

Again, he acted purely on instinct and simply fell to the floor. There was no finesse, no great agility, no astounding combat move, Nikolai simply dropped to the floor and covered himself with the massive chunks of wood that now lay all around him. As the fire burned and rushed above him he felt his back get hot, he screamed in pain and panic as the explosion tore his shoulders and back into shredded bits. Yet, when the explosion passed, The Magician stood.

For the briefest moment, he felt as Jedi would.

It was then that Nikolai collapsed to his knee's as well, pain rushing throughout his entire body as blood dripped from wounds along his arms and torso. He however still had energy, and as the pain of the fight reached him, so did a spike of adrenaline. As his blood began to surge with endorphins the young Magician managed to stand, albeit barely. Blood now entirely covered his robes, and it was safe to say that the fight had taken quite a bit out of him. The padawan looked at the Sith across the field, and then simply smiled.

Had he won? No, this wasn't a victory by any means. The Sith might have been done with the fight, but he had slaughtered more than a dozen people, that alone meant that this was not a victory. Still, as the chemicals ran through his body Nikolai forgot those deaths for only a second. This was an achievement for him, a turning point. He had not only survived combat with a Sith...but he had thrived.

He looked over to his opponent, that smug self satisfying smile ever present on his face. He called out to the man. "It seems i'm not the only one with tricks."

He let out a shrill laugh as wind began to pour over the field. In the distance, one could hear sirens. Alderaan Security forces were on there way, they were in the middle of a cities park after all and the explosions weren't exactly subtle. Nikolai just stood, and carefully watched the Sith. He seemed to be barely standing and almost swaying with the wind, waiting for the police to arrive.

how...how could he lose to such...such a weakling...no...no he, he couldn't allow this...the fight was not over...Not yet! Jinn slowly looked up from his position on the ground, studying the jedi closely. He was saying gently in the wind, his robes bloodied and burned from Jinn's attack...but he was still alive and that was unacceptable. Jinn closed his eyes and sent a message to his master

"Master...I-...I need you." the words stung the sith's tongue like venom, he did not like feeling so weak.....there was no way he could do much but send signals...he had no strength to continue his beserking attack. His final move would be one that might take his life as well, but it would be worth it not to lose...he would not lose.

Jinn forced his body to take in just enough force to send one last flurry of images, this one directed at the jedi. These images were simple, they were images of Jinn's life of pain and torture. Darkness filled most of them, so much would be too much for such a naive and light hearted mind to take. If he survived this last attack, it would surly leave a scar on the Padawan just as it had on Jinn. As the images and memories were sent, jinn forced himself to get up and stumbled forward towards the Jedi, mumbling nonsense under his breath. His vision got dark and blurry, and with one last attempt Jinn threw his light saber like a spear right at the jedi before passing out and hitting the ground.

Nikolai was not much of combatant, he was not much of a duelist, force user, or anything really. What he was however was intelligent, he was perhaps one of the smartest people in the Jedi Order. He had to be in order to do what he did. To figure out every little part of his tricks, to make sure they were safe, to think of new ones, to watch and unwind the marvelous thing that was "magic" Nikolai had to be a smart being.

It was because of this intelligence that Nikolai's own mind was much like one of his tricks. It was complex maze wrapped around thoughts, memories, and anything else that makes up a brain(This is listed in his Bio). So when the Sith attempted to get inside of his mind with his last ditch effort, he was met with stark opposition. The mental attack was a weak one, a last ditch effort and so when it struck the maze that was Nikolai's mind, it was found wanting.

The lightsaber however was an entirely different story. Nikolai was far too tired to effectively dodge the weapon, in fact he was far too tired to do much of anything. So when he saw the lightsaber fly towards him he did the only thing he could think of. In a panic, he whipped his hand to the side.

The lightsaber veered off its course ever so slightly, and then bit into Nikolai's side. The magician screamed in pain as the red plasma ate into his side. It bit deep into his skin, biting and searing away muscle and flesh. It ate away at him, and then it flew past him the metal hilt striking the already cauterized wound causing the blade to spin and shut itself off landing directly behind him.

The Magician fell to the floor clutching the wound at his side. Pain wracked his entire body as his knee's touched the earth. He let out a loud scream of pain and rage. He used his right arm to hold himself up. Tears fell from his face as his entire body went into shock. Still however the Magician remained awake, his entire body screaming as he forced himself to stay aware of his surroundings.

He knelt on the ground, staring at the earth before him. The wind seemed to lap at him, moving his hair and ruined robes. The sound of Sirens came closer and closer. To a random passerby Nikolai would have seemed to be praying.

Kiyala rose her hands up when Makayla seemed to pull her blaster out on her, then her shocked expression turned into one of great laughter as her force shield rose and weaved it's way around her form. She looked at @[member="Spencer Jacobs"] for a moment before deciding to take the lead at least for now knowing that the first apprentice wouldn't have time for such trivial things and as she lowered her hands she began to speak. "Child you might as well throw that little pea shooter away, it will do you no good to threaten me. And it definitely will do you no good to threaten my friend here." With that Kiyala pulled out a bag of snacks from within her robes barely covering her Rancor Mark 2 armor and began to eat it in a rather regal way that further attested to her heritage. Her eyes looked over @[member="Makayla Shaw"] for a moment as if she had more to say but she shook her head deciding it wasn't worth it merely saying.

"Your not the brightest bulb in the light house are you. I could have and probably should have allowed my apprentice to devour you, but he'd gain little strength for one such as your self. Trust me hunny, leave the workings of the galaxy to the ones who are actually strong enough to do something about it."

Standing up with her snacks floating next to her as she dusted off her robes did she finally began to walk under the stage completely ignoring the girl at this point as she went to go check on her apprentice. She could feel his strength waning and so was the magician which would make him ripe for converting or at least so she thought.

As Nikolai sat in place for what seemed like an eternity something stirred within his mind. it was not evil, it was not the mind of one of the Sith or anything like that. It was simply the force. It tipped and tapped at his mind, poking and prodding him, urging him forth. The Magician attempted to stand, willing his muscles to move him. In response his body screamed in pain, a thousand things in his body telling him to stop. The Force however urged him on, it pushed and prodded him, screaming at him to move forward and push on. There was danger yet.

Finally the Magician managed to push himself forward. The force filled him, its guiding light pressing him upwards and to his feet. His body screamed in pain, his mind told him to wait for the police, to stay there and just live. Yet the force told him otherwise, it told him to run as fast as he could.

Slowly as Nikolai got to his feet he looked around. On the ground he found several of his cards that the Sith had pushed form his palm, he collected them and then looked down at the Sith's lightsaber. He stared at the blade, and then scooped it up as well. Like a turtle, Nikolai began to move across the field. With each step his body screeched at the top of its lungs, pain flaring through every muscle, bone, and ligament that had the ability to. Yet he kept on moving, urged on by the force.

He walked to the edge of the field, then turned back around towards the tunnels entrance, now several dozen meters away.

Makayla was surprised that the woman was talking to her that way until that she saw the snacks floating in the air. She could see that the woman was a force user of what side she did not know. The woman left into the hole that was on the stage and decided to follow her. She walked down the dark tunnel knowing that she may try and kill her but she had to see what happened to the young man and the man with the mask.

Kiyala annoyance began to grow for a moment as the girl followed her seeming ignoring everything that Kiyala had just said. So Kiyala turned around sharply sending four sizable strikes for force blasts behind Makayla Shaw causing the tunnel to cave in behind her. With that Kiyala ignited her lightsaber and pointed it toward Makayla saying "I told you to find somewhere else to be instead of following me. Now surrender to your capture or die, may you choice quickly now." Kiyala kept her force shield up just in case the young female thought that she could fire off any cheap shots, no this one had walked herself into a trap.

Makayla squeaked as the tunnel caved in behind her. The lightsaber lept out and lit up the dark abyss. "I told you to find somewhere else to be instead of following me. Now surrender to your capture or die, may you choice quickly now." Came from the woman's lips. "I am not following you. Im following the Magician who came under here. I have no quarrel with you and I'd like to leave it at that." She wanted to get out of this without so many bruises and scars. Well she already had some. "And who would I be surrendering to? If I were to." She raised her own blasters at the woman Even though she knew that she would block it somehow.
