Let it snow

In the vast land of white, a small speck of brown moved swiftly across the terrain. In only a blur, a cloaked figure made his way to an ancient Sith temple, one that had stood there for thousands of years, maybe more. He doubted anybody still guarded the place, but one could never, EVER, be too careful. Suddenly, a new wave of cold washed over. A change in the wind. A brutal snowstorm was coming. Rushing to the mountainside, the cloaked man sprinted inside the nearest cave seeking cover. He would have to wait out the storm.

Hawk sat in the majesty of the temple, immersing herself in the dark side energy that thrived at it's heart. she had been meditating for hours now. The power was so strong.......... Hawk almost smiled with the feeling of it vibrating in her bones. She was right to come here.

While in the cave, Xardus threw back his hood and pulled down his face mask. It was so cold, he had to wear his thick, heavy cloak, which weighed a good thirty pounds. Shedding the weight, he heated the inside of his body, slowly, from the inside out. It was a technique he had been practicing for a while now, and had finally for the hang of it. Beginning to meditate, he stretched his consciousness outward toward the temple. Darkness. Darkness everywhere. He felt a strong presence inside the temple, almost like- There she was, he could see clearly now. A beautiful woman, her eyes closed. As soon as he got a bearing on her, however, something mentally kicked him back, and his eyes snapped open, forcing him to leave his meditative state. Was she a sith? "No way", he muttered.

Hawk could feel the presence of Light, a pinprick compared to the power residing here. It had attempted to watch her, but her Darkness kept it at bay. She continued meditating.

In a flurry, Xardus threw his cloak back on and headed back into the snowstorm. He had to find out just who that woman was. As he trudged through the thick layers of snow, flashes of her face continued to invade his mind. She seemed to be a very interesting person from what he sensed from her. Of course, it could just be the temple he felt that was concealing her presence. Either way, he continued on. Eventually, he stood in front of the temple steps. Taking a deep breath, he walked up the steps and inside the main lobby.

Hawk felt the Light approaching the Temple. It dared to come here? Oh well. The temple itself would deal with it. Right now, all she was concentrating on was soaking in the power here...

Xardus walked inside, looking around at the massive statues and shrines to the dark side. It was now that he could feel the true power of it all. It seemed to want to embrace him, to welcome him home... 'No', He thought. 'I can't return to the rage and anger. I can't let it control me.' Unfortunately for him, recently he had been growing ever closer to the darkness once again. For a moment, he could literally see his dark embodiment swirl around him, longing to become a part of him again. 'Leave me alone.. Please...'

Hawk continued to dwell in the dark cloud of Force that was the Temple. She drew it in like a sponge, hungrier for more. She could hear the piteous cries of some helpless creature in the back of her mind. She ignored it.

Hawk's eyes flew open. The light........It had found her. That made her annoyed. "Get out," She said flatly, and continued meditating.

Xardus was taken aback by the sudden rudeness. "Hey now, I have just as much right to be here as you do." A light smirk found it's way on his face. "What's your name, gorgeous?"

Hawk clenched her teeth and rose to her feet. "No one wants your kind here, Light-sider...." As she said this, the empty temple echoed faintly with other voices. Voices without bodies....

As the voices echoed throughout the walls, Xardus looked around, unsure. "Are you doing this?" He drew his orange blade, ready to strike down anything that came within five feet of him.

Hawk looked at his blade, and then at him, her eyes colder than the ice outside. "They don't want you here. And neither do I." As she said this, she ignited her crimson blade.

Xardus's eyes flared in challenge as she brandished her lightsaber. "This really isn't your best idea. You're gonna regret that." He walked over to her and opened up with the starting stance of Juyo, and looked for an opening to attack.

As the man moved closer to her, The air around Hawk darkened into a thick, black smoke. The voices swelled to yelling and hissing. Hawk was now flanked by the massive swirling cloud of dark energy. "If you will not leave willingly, then they will MAKE YOU." She said, for she understood the screams of the Fallen...

Hawk was quick to counter, colliding her blade with his. She made one dynamic blow after the other, driving him backward toward the door. "GET OUT!" She yelled as she drove him further to the door.

The woman was quick, he'd had to give her that. But after years of training, Xardus knew he had the upper hand. Using faster than normal reflexes, he parried each attack she dished out, countering with one of his own. Once he was satisfied he had her guard down, he sent a powerful wave of force to her chest.

Hawk was thrown backward. She was trained for this kind of combat, however, and landed with her feet dragging backward slightly before stopping. Hawk sent a Force wave directly back at him seconds later, just as powerful as his. Two could play at this game...
