Private Lessons of the Ascendancy

Zinayn allowed Aknoby's Force push to carry him backwards, following the flow instead of fighting against it. As it pushed him closer to the wall, he angled his feet to plant firmly on the wall, using it to torpedo forward at the young boy, who had just landed from his frontflip. Seeing that Aknoby's style looked to be very aggressive and always on the offensive, Zinayn decided to adopt that style himself for this sparring round.

He brought his lightsaber down towards Aknoby with Force-augmented speed and the power he gained from pushing off the wall. His goal was to force Aknoby to meet his overhead cleave rather than risking a dodge and leaving himself defenseless against the lightning-fast strike.

Aknoby swung his lightsaber, moving minimally to take the brunt of the impact. He decided to take a more defensive stance against the more aggressive Zinayan, letting the Force pass through his body.

Now forced into a defensive position, the young (half) Chiss tried to find a way to counterattack or feint against his older opponent, but for the moment he saw no way out, either through the use of his lightsaber or the Force.

Zinayn succeeded in forcing his opponent to meet his attack head on, gripping his saber hilt tighter as he pressed down harder on Aknoby, his athletic figure hidden beneath his cloak. He could see thoughts racing through the midager's head, trying to figure out how to escape this blade lock. Zinayn would not allow him time to think without pressure. He took a step forward, aiming to push Aknoby backwards, feeling the Force rejuvenate his tiring muscles and bring them supernatural strength. This was certainly not his usual combat style, but he didn't shy away from direct, grueling combat if he saw it as an efficient path to victory.
