Lessons from a Monster (Kezeroth)

The Empress of Effekt had finally crafted for herself an ideal weapon. Another symbol of how her planet and people were growing all the more closer to joining the Galactic Society as a whole. As a force user it only seemed fitting for Nimue Stormson to have in her possession a lightaber of her own. It had been a unique one as well, a hilt with a cross-guard shape that allowed for two smaller blades to poke out from the side. Having discovered the schematics for how to construct one she found it all the more fitting, a reflection of her own planet's warrior-like image and background. But having a great weapon was nothing if you didn't know how to use it.
While Nimue had received some training in the past she felt her saber combat was not fully honed. She needed more. She wanted more. She wanted to be a competent warrior. She'd already had a slight advantage over the many she fought during the grand civil war of her planet, her current skills with the Force being her secret weapon against her enemies. But when it came to fighting with actual weapons her victories were only because the person was too wounded or she was very lucky. While no one else had ever questioned it the Empress felt it was time to actually train herself. But rather than one of her own warriors, who had never wielded a lightsaber before, the Empress felt outside help was needed.
Word had been sent to many of the blade masters and skilled trainers in the galaxy to come to Effekt at the reward of being paid handsomely for their time. Some had answered but the very first was one who called himself [member="Kezeroth the Malevolent"] . An interesting title that had caught Nimue's attention. He would be the first to be allowed to train her; the others having their chances if she felt this man was unsatisfactory. A message had been sent that would inform him of where to come once he arrived on Effekt itself.
The old area outside the capital city had rarely been visited. The few who did were often warriors wishing to train under the eyes of the spirits of the great heroes and legends of the past, who were said to watch over and even bless those who would train there. It was something of a divine gift many had hoped to claim by being there. Whether or not Nimue herself belived in it she never said, but she did find the area ideal for combat training. She'd arrived with a small escort and carriage from the royal palace while dressed in attire suitable for training. A tunic and leggings while bands were strapped around her arms and her hair kept in a bun as to not fly around in her eyes.
As she waited Kezeroth's arrival she hoped he would find the await escort at the landing pad suitable. If anything she was rather anxious to meet a man who gave himself the title of "the Malevolent".

A AEG-77 Vigo Gunship landed in a hangar at the spaceport its arrival brought a rather unsettling presence. A ship marked with various symbols ranging from black Sun to Mandalorians and even old Sith empire? Interesting. The ship was old but compared to its owner it was only a mere infant. A droid lowered the back ramp on the Gunship and out the back walked the Giant himself. He towered over everyone with his 8'8ft height and rather bulky size, Indeed this one was a Beast.

From Mercenary to Bounty Hunter and now Hired Trainer? And for who? Some Royal and spoiled child? His thoughts turned dark at the thought of his fist crushing who ever faced him... For the sake of training that was. Eyeing the royal escort below him the Giant smirked under his mask and examined each one of them, A single red eye gazed down at [member="Nimue Stormson"] the one he assumed hired him. Judging her position and body language Kezeroth was not mistaken. Approaching slowly Kezeroth did not bow, nod or anything of the like. Emitting only a light grunt he crossed his arms against his chest and tilted his head. Suppressing his Darkside presence for now he finally said " Are you Ready, wurm?" his attitude was sour but yours would be too if you were couple thousand years old, there was no respect unless it was earned.

The ship's appearance had already had the guards tilt their heads in confusion. If a blade master was riding in one of those they began to think the an inside was not as malevolent as he claimed. It was only until the giant creature stepped from out of it that they realized how wrong their assumptions were. For being big, strong harden warriors on their own account, seeing this beast of a man, or whatever he was, had intimidated them. They only stood with a cowering ready as he huffed at them, making his way towards the arena were the Empress awaited.
Nimue herself had her back turned from where Kezeroth approached. She was looking down at the hilt of her new saber before seeing a shadow over her. It was only after she heard his voice that she turned, looking and gasping at the sight. A step back indicated her fear at the sight of such a beast before her. And here she'd thought Kezeroth would be a man, or at least a normal sized alien. Not this hulking brute before her.
She did question, however, with "Ke....Kezeroth? Kezeroth the Malevolent?

Looking down Kezeroth grinned under his armored face plate and said " Who else would I be? Now lets get this started..." He voice strong and uncaring. In his mind he was the one who was strongest at the moment and he had the power of control at his finger tips. Random thoughts of Violence struck his mind as he eyed the guards and the woman herself [member="Nimue Stormson"]. He denied the thoughts to be made reality and so the odd sense of bloodlust became his aura.

With a shrug Kezeroth adjusted his body and shifted "Bone Crusher" his Power hammer on his back to be seen, His belt shifted and held some lightsabers. Trophies mostly...
Grunting he looked down at them.

The more she looked at him the more nervous Nimue felt to be taught by him. This hulking brute looked more like the type to smash and not fight with any sort of elegance. Yet he was here now, and Force only knew if ever the time would come she would face a monster like him in the future. It seemed ideal yet Nimue still had the thought in the back of her head to call the whole thing off. Upon seeing his weapon she gulped, figuring he had a weapon like it but fearing that he would use it during practice. She then looked at the number of sabers on his belt, an indication he'd bested many in the past. Oh dear...
She swallowed what fear kept her from speaking before answering "Y-Yes!. Let us start." She then pulled out her saber and held it to her side, awaiting instructions.
[member="Kezeroth the Malevolent"]

Silently he laughed to himself and titled his head, Face mask folding to the back and side of his head only exposing his face of stone. Eyes glew faintly red and suddenly his Darkside nature could be seen and sensed in full. Wild, Untamed and Powerful much like a Animal. Its how Kezeroth liked it he was not Sith he was Dark Jedi. Examing the womans weapon Kezeroth slowly reached for a lightsaber on his belt and ignited it in a snap-hiss, the blade was green. A jedi's weapon maybe who knew?

" You Wish to learn how to wield a lightsaber? Fancy weapon for fancy people... Its too effective if you ask me but after all your the one with the credits." He paused some. " Ill start with Shii-Cho....Hmm. Great for mowing down crowds if your into that and horrible against single opponents. Obserse." he explained and suddenly took up a standard stance and slowly raised the Saber above his head with a two handed grip. Slowly he slashed down in slight vertical angle, his footing was spaced and did not get caught in the movement. Continuing the movements Kezeroth began to slowly speed up and strike in a number of angles and ways. The main picture of Shii-Cho could be seen perfectly, it was very kinetic and involved many sweep like attacks.

" Your turn..." he said looking off to the as [member="Nimue Stormson"] spectated from a safe distance of couple feet.

Nimue sighed with some relief. At least he wasn't going to use the hammer against her. Even after his comment she did agree that weapons like sabers were meant for more elegant and 'fancy' types of combatants. Large two-handed weapons like his hammer, or any of her army's berserk's battle axes, were meant for the stronger bodied types; much like [member="Kezeroth the Malevolent"] himself. As he ignited his blade she noted the color, wondering if it was originally his or not. After that she held her saber in front of her, activating it. The main shape of a dark purple blade sprung up from the middle before two smaller ends popped at the base, creating a cross-guard saber appear in front of her.
Standing at a defense Nimue nodded her ready position. As he came at her Nimue easily blocked each of his attacks. First the overhead before following up with each follow up. Her footing was careful as well, with each step he took forward she took back to keep enough space between them. She'd had some lessons before, which had helped now, and was glad that she herself still recalled her time with that blade master who'd helped before.
Finally it was her turn to act. Thinking for a moment Nimue advanced with sweeps from the side, since she knew overhead would be useless against someone twice her size. From left to right she swept, bringing her blade up and around as she switched between each side. And then, only after enough times to the side, would she actually try to swipe down the front at his chest to bring her blade down on a vertical motion for it.

Blocking her swings slowly to not hinder her momentum Kezeroth nodded as [member="Nimue Stormson"] got the over all picture rather quickly. Left, Right, Left, Right... The motions got faster and soon the training looked like actual training. Chuckling some the Malevolent One side stepped the womans swipe to the Chest and bringing his Saber up he lightly clashed blades and shrugged her blade off to the side. " I see you get the point.. Again. This time I will Counter and show you Shii-Chos flaws." he said backing up slightly and taking a different stance, one similar to Djem So.

While waiting he noted the womans force presence and pondered who she really was. She was skilled and a quick learner but if she was just now learning to use a lightsaber now Kezeroth wondered how well her force training was compared to her blade work.

At least Nimue knew she was getting the hang of it. The remarks from [member="Kezeroth the Malevolent"] were enough to build a little confidence in her. At least he was proving to be fair with his teachings, not the total brute she believed him to be. When he stopped her on her last strike she watched as he drew back, telling how he would show her the flaws of the saber form. At first she thought it off but, thinking on it, she realized how knowing the kinks in one's armor were always important to know. This of course had the same principal. She watched him back up before he gave his signal.
Nodding Nimue advanced, taking a few steps while staying in form before coming in with an overhead strike. She knew he was going to try something so she intended to follow up with a thrust or parry, depending on his next move. She just wanted to see if she could find the flaws as fast as he could.

The trainee's face scrunched with slightly confusion and the Teacher smirked. Was the Giants words not that clear? Every Fighter had flaws even Kezeroth the Malevolent, but this was not about him it was about [member="Nimue Stormson"] the one loaded with credits and willingness to train with a monster. Her advance with a over head strike reminded him of the reckless sith who thought they were undying, With a chuckle he leaned forward slightly the Giant suddenly dashed forward. Watching her arms move into a thrust like motion Kezeroth dropped his guard, he was curious what she would do.

With his own charge she would have very little time to react with his small Force enhanced dash. Either he would get a Lightsaber in the gut or she would not truely follow through. Either way he would expose her flaws, but for now she decided how.

The fact that such a giant was able to use Force speed had caught Nimue off-guard. She had seen how fast he moved in an instant away from her thrust. She didn't think something so large could move so fast. She went a little too forward when the thrust didn't go through and stumbled. When she regained herself, turning to face [member="Kezeroth the Malevolent"] , she drew her blade up into a forward position again. Now she tried side sweeps as before, trying to hit left and right while bringing her blade overhead as she changed each direction of attack. She wanted to know this creature's secrets of combat anyway possible.

" Haha!" he laughed aloud as [member="Nimue Stormson"] expression changed when he dashed away. Squinting at her the giant grinned as she advanced again with her sweeping strikes, Extending his Blade to connect with hers in the form of a parry. Gripping his saber with two hands Kezeroth moved forward and kept close to [member="Nimue Stormson"] person by locking blades. He gave her no space at all and was slowly pushing her back. " Shii-Cho is very open and kinetic. A simple parry is all it takes to end your large sweeps. Shii-Cho is simple though how about another style? Niman!" His blade slid off her own fast and the giant took two steps back, his face held a sadistic grin. He was up to something.

Taking up a one handed stance Kezeroth extended his off hand towards the woman to grip her with the Force in an attempt to pull her towards him. If it worked he would keep her floating by him and slowly move his lightsaber towards her. His mind was set on giving this royal one a scare to remember.

Contact was made with NImue's blade and his. As they locked she looked up at the giant only for hi to try pushing her back. Of course he did, his strength was more than a match for Nimue's smaller frame and body. She felt as her feet dragged against the dirt and grass before he eventually stopped, only to talk about the effective means a good parry had over the 'Shii-Cho' style he was teaching her. Though apparently he was quick to try something else, a new form called Niman. Before Nimue knew it [member="Kezeroth the Malevolent"] had broken contact and then reached out with the Force, seizing her body and holding her up. She felt herself stuck before seeing as he drew his blade and had her floating towards it. She gasped, realizing what he was up to, before trying to break away. For the longest time she felt as though she couldn't move any of her limbs, and all the while the blade was coming closer to her; or rather she to it. If this was truly part of the lesson it was a cruel means. Finally Nimue had built up enough Force in at least one hand to send a small but effective push towards the beast-man, freeing herself before she would fall to the ground trying to breath.

" Good to see a practicing user of the Force... Before you were running at me like a man wanting to die now your starting to think! Keep it this way... Dont let your guard down." he exclaimed awhile slowly stumbling back some from the force push. " Niman is ... well according to jedi a style that is moderately good against everything. Using simple strike from Shii-Cho and combining them in combination with your Force abilities." Looking he his left Kezeroth eyed a pillar and reaching out with the force pulled it towards him, once it was close enough he sweeped his lightsaber horizontally cutting the stone with ease. Looking back at [member="Nimue Stormson"] the Giant smiled and signaled her to try on him, Things were getting slightly dangerous now but all was OK in the Giants mind.

Looking up to [member="Kezeroth the Malevolent"] Nimue was glad to hear a little more appreciation. She didn't fully expect him to have given her points for only managing to save her own life, but if it was what he wanted then so be it. At least it proved she was strong enough to break a force grip. After that she silently watched as he showed how Niman was a mix of attacks, then cutting down the pillar with ease. For a moment she thought it was a means to show his feat of strength, something she worried he might try to have her match him, before he oddly signaled for her to try it on him. She was of course reluctant at first but knew that if she didn't he might have her try something more dangerous. She only nodded before holding one hand up. She knew how to lift practically anything with the force, a giant being no exception, and brought him forward as he did with her, her blade held out at the ready to try and cut him in half. She knew he would have something in mind, but what?

The burn of a lightsaber was nothing compared to the pain that came from regenerating nerves, Though after couple thousand years of living with pain you got used to it. Saber wounds always did get the Gen'dais mindset and body pumping more. Despite the strike the lightsaber did not go in that deep due to the thick armor Kezeroth wore. Looking down at [member="Nimue Stormson"] the Giant extended his hand to shove her away physically. He needed his space too.

" Excellent but Niman isnt just a pull and a strike, could be whatever you wanted it to be...Show me what you got!" Kezeroth shouted deactivating his lightsaber and clipping it on his belt. His hands found the shaft of Bone Crusher his power hammer and with the flick of a switch the weapon growled and turned on. Emitting purple energy from the head of the hammer Kezeroth signaled her to come.

His armor proved to be more durable than she thought, managing to hold against even a lightsaber. She wanted one now. The sudden shove had sent her on her back a few feet away. Eve a shot felt like taking a gust of wind so hard to the gut. She had to flick the hair from her eyes as she looked up to [member="Kezeroth the Malevolent"] , he bellowing how he wanted her to try again and come at him harder. The sudden reveal of his hammer weapon had brought a sense of anxiety into her, but now she was more mad than anything else. He wanted her to come at him then she would. Perhaps it was the heat of the training but now Nimue stood with a more bold intent on her face. She felt like a warrior of legend facing a monster that would lead to a story being told throughout the generations.
With her blade extended she attacked, coming towards him before sliding between his legs at the last minute. Once on the other side she tried to strike again at his armor, only to make a deep enough cut to his back. Once it was exposed she tried using the force to send a powerful push or a strong grip on it, trying to hit his spine. She was trying to show how much Kezeroth's maddening training was getting to her.
