  • Name: Leptoliopteryx (Lep-toe-lee-op-ter-icks) aka night hawks
  • Designation: Semi Sentient
  • Origins: Wild versions reside on many outer rim planets
  • Average Lifespan: 120-40 years average(oldest recorded was 183 when it died)
  • Estimated Population: wild-Inter-Planetary Domesticated-Common
  • Description: Large, intimidating and dragon like creatures often sporting vivid colors
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Breathes: Type I
  • Average Height of Adults: 1.3-4.9 meters
  • Average Length of Adults: 2.6-7 meters
  • Average Wingspan of Adults: 7.3-13.7 meters
  • Skin color: there is no common color as it is mainly random though color is generally related to the planet on which they are on eg sandy planet=creams yellow oranges act other warm colors

  • Distinctions: Large crests on their head for courtship ,males are generaly larger and more brightly colored than females, as the near 100 years of age colors grey out and become dull,as they are no longer able to breed

    destert, forest, magma, metropolis, snow aand swamp .colors often match their environments as mentioned above

Strengths:
  • + speed,night hawks are very fast,they can keep up to many land vehicles and eveven out-fly them
    +intelligence,there creatures are very smart,they often analyse situations and weigh out pros and cons of their actionactions, if they think something will go wrong they will not do it.
Weaknesses:
  • -abilities to carry weight, though they are Large animals they hate carrying Large amounts of weight an often throw riders off if made to do so
    -temprement ,mainly only with wild ones ,but Leptoliopteryx' are very aggressive so taming A wild one can have its complications
CULTURE
  • Diet: omnivores, they eat any and everything though they do prefer exotic fruits ,many types of armor and metal will serverely harm them
  • Communication: through a series of clicks,many people can learn Leptolian(lep-toe-lee-an)

  • Religion/Beliefs: standard beliefs surrounding the force
  • General behavior: in families these animals are suprisingly caring, especialy toward yearlings and juvaniles.Before laying their eggs , they make large nests on cliffs if posible or in huge trees, and keep their young there until their annual fledgling celebration,where all younglings are taught to fly.During breeding season (late winter to late spring)males use their bright colors to attract females.Some also perform aerial dances for extra wow.These are durinal animals that DO build large roofed nests on cliffs made from branches,and coverd in leaves ,they hunt and explore and packs of around 5-10. Younglings attend schools(tought by elders) to learn the way of the force.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Most battles have had night hawks as battle steeds , domesticated populations have drastically dropped, raising their value . Due to often being used in battle their scales have thickened and strengthened to withstand a wider range of weapons. these animals are also heavily traded round the galaxy.

LadyBird LadyBird This looks interesting, but there are some issues.

The image credit isn't really enough. A link would work much better here. Also, changing this over to the template found here would be really helpful. As is, the app is very difficult to read.
