Made for use by jedi to handle dangerous creatures, the talismans are different from other amulets of beast control. Mostly they don't control species or groups of animals. Instead focusing and holding one creature under the users thrall to do as they want. Small and super-lightweight with an inability to be used again for a different creature afterwards. Once they are tied to a creature they are unable to be used on another creature making trying to take or fight a pack near impossible with it. The crystal weave within the talisman is made to help facilitate the control and empower the metal.
WIth the works she has done with Joza and Dune her padawan and the grandpadawan under her training. They went across Voss working to try and learn how to better work with the skills so they can give lightsided jedi aid if they are facing down creatures. Technological leaps and bounds in Sasori's manufacturing have improved many of the aspects The talismens were not well known and other brands were created in the marketplace which was fine.... the lesser known some of the products were well the better to not see them exploited but for those who bought from sasori a dedication to improving quality of their stocks was a given.
So Leina worked with other beastmasters and engineers to develop the improved model of the talismen that combined force grade enhancement to technologies. The lightside enhancement making it more vulnerable to darkside damage and force voids but oh there was so much that went into it that they could make mini to better improve upon. Being able to carry several for a beast master was also essential as Leina had shown a use for them when she and Joza had traveled helping the Silver jedi expaand their infleunces.
