HYPERLANE INFORMATION

HYPERLANE CHARACTERISTICS
  • Speed: Low
    • While daredevils have been known to fly quickly through this Hyperlane, it is highly suggested that spacers take it slow. From anomalies, to asteroid fields, black holes, to the Maw, this route can be very dangerous.
  • Accessibility:
    • The Hyperlane is freely open for anyone to fly on, but it is very much not recommend. The large amount of hazards on this path have led it to become almost a legend of sorts. You’ll hear it’s name being passed around bar tables, but there will rarely be people flying on it.
  • Route Hazards:
    • Brotherhood of the Maw
      • Unfortunately, due to a large anomaly in the middle of Adrathorpe, O’reen, Csaus, and Mobus, the route has to cut right through Maw territory. Even though it was charted before they appeared, the Maw are still a very dangerous threat. Yet spacers will continue to fly it, because it is nevertheless a shortcut through the Unknown Regions.
    • Galactic Alliance
      • On the other hand, the Galactic Alliance itself can be a danger on this route, mainly for smugglers. As this route is a major backroad in the Unknown Regions, constant smuggling of illegal goods and slaves occurs. The fines and prison time alone of being caught scares off pilots.
    • Galactic Barrier, when entering or exiting Rakata Prime
      • One of the many things that has kept Rakata Prime hidden from the rest of the galaxy is the Galactic Barrier. A large area of anomalies that keep many spacers from navigating the Unknown Regions. Most are lucky to land on Rakata Prime, or take off from it alone.
    • Maelstrom
      • The route’s odd upward path towards O’reen is caused by a large Maelstrom, located in the middle of the planets Adrathorpe, O’reen, Csaus, and Mobus. Similar to the one surrounding Kessel, the Maelstrom is a massive hazard for any people trying to cut out of route and travel faster.
    • Pirates, Raiders, and Marauders
      • With Tantus Gate being located right at the start of the route, the Hyperlane is an active way-of-travel for all sorts of bad people. Attacks or frequent, usually ending with space’s loosing their ship, cargo, and their life.
    • Purrgils
      • Most of the Unknown Regions have had trouble with Purrgils. Their constant jumping into Hyperspace leads them crashing straight into ships. This route has no protection from their destructive nature.
    • Roxuli Asteroid Field
      • The final part of the route can be one of the most dangerous. A thick asteroid field surrounding Roxuli prevent travelers from having a nice, relaxing end to their trip. It takes a skilled navigator to make their way safely through.
    • Space Debris
      • Since the Hyperlane goes right along the border of the Galactic Alliance and the Brotherhood of the Maw, it is common to find large chunks of debris blocking parts of the path. Frequent battles between the two powers have led to a large area of the Unknown Regions to be littered with their broken ships.
  • Rest Stops:
    • Tantus Gate
      • Though right at the beginning of the route, Tantus Gate provides travelers with a quite spot to fuel up before the prepare their journey. While not the safest or cheapest by any means, Tantus Gate is sorta a final chance for those that forgot to supply on Rakata Prime. Just make sure this mistake doesn’t happen twice.
    • Mother Draz’s - Between Jedha and Adrathorpe
      • Aboard a small space station in the middle of the Unknown Regions you can find Mother Draz. Not much is known about here, besides that fact that she is a very old Ithorian. Oh, and she is force sensitive. Raised on the planet Jedha, Mother Draz now spends here time helping spacers on their travels. Here you can find fuel, supplies, and a fresh cup of tea or two. Only one rule: don’t disrespect the Mother, or you will be in a mess of trouble.
    • The Cranky Chiss - On the fourth moon of Mobus
      • Averaged priced fuel, decent char-burgers, and a hatred for Chiss. All of these things are common here on the fourth moon of Mobus. Located within a small spaceport on the moon, The Cranky Chiss was started up by some humans that weren’t too happy with the way the blue freaks run things. They take pride in this, especially now that Csilla is blown to bits. As long as you have credits and aren’t blue, this is a decent stop.
    • Pathfinder Spaceport - Yashuvhu
      • Built in remembrance of the ancient ship that landed almost one thousand years ago. Pathfinder III, the spaceport acts as a hub for a travelers in this region of the galaxy. With the Galactic Alliance’s occupation of this planet, the area has become a lot safer and well-run. Travels can find just about anything here on their final leg of the trip, and for an average price as well.

DESCRIPTION
Long before the emergence of the Maw, the collapse of the C.I.S., and the Imperial’s decimation of the Sith, there was the Rakatan Infinite Empire.

The Rakatans were the original pioneers of hyperspace. There obsession with traveling, and taking over, the stars was one that no one could rival. One of there many routes created during their expansion time was the Lehon Zigzag.

Leading directly from their home system, the route leads across a good portion of the Unknown Regions, ending around Chiss space. This expansions allowed them to concur many nearby systems along the route, only fueling their Empire.

While the Rakatans did eventually fall, the route did not. Kept a mystery for hundreds of years, the route was eventually rediscovered by Jedi Knight Fa Lerin, a skilled navigator. She charted the route within her personal log around 8,134 BBY, far past the fall of Rakatan Infinite Empire.

The route would soon become a popular trial used by spacers to travel across a backbone of the Unknown Regions. Chiss worlds started to become exposed to the rest of the galaxy, and their technology along with it. This was great for the average human, but disastrous for the Chiss.

Now, hundreds of years later, the route is a highway for pirates and spacers brave enough to travel it. The construction of Tantus Gate has only helped greaten the usage of the route. The station acts as a final stop for those brave enough to fly the Hyperlane.

Unfortunately, the Brotherhood of the Maw have made travel very dangerous, even for the brave and cunning. Travel is discouraged, yet the need for the route still remains.

Overall, love it. Arguably the most dangerous hyperlane in the galaxy at the moment, and probably in the top five at the best of times. Can't wait to see some spacers try and make legendary runs on this bad boy.

Only one thing I'd like to see changed. We try to credit the original artist for images whenever possible. The original artist for the image you found on Tumblr is ziksarthi on Artstation. Switch that over for me and you're good to go!
