Imperial Station Gideon, what a bloody-farrik-mess.
At least Captain Sun-Shin was sure of that as she cut her way through the hell that had become. If she remembered the details of the mission this is where the creatures had been created. Blaster fire painted their targets with ease, Sun-Shin put out a call on First Imperial Encrypted Channels. By this point, it was evident that whoever had created these blasted things, did so with intent. One that Sun-Shin wanted to get to the bottom of before she radioed for rescue.
:: Hallasan has been compromised, I repeat Hallasan has been compromised. Located on Imperial Station Gideon and if there's anyone still alive please respond, I would hate to leave you behind. ::
The sound of TIE Fighters screaming through the void brought her little comfort, for while she could hear them fight - she could also hear and feel them dying. TIE Fighters slammed into the station's exterior, and the lights flickered. Another alarm sounded this one was an intruder alert. These things can survive the void? Chite.
Then it wouldn't do to stick around for that much longer then.

"How do the Chiss do things then?" Hans asked realizing he didn't know much about Matma's people. The only Chiss he'd ever met in passing had been the former leader of the Knights, back when he had joined up with the Empire.

Matma, by some miracle, managed to keep the smugness out his voice. "With precision. Finesse."

He straightened, getting serious as he turned to Firenne. "I think that you can handle this. Getting the system up and working. I think I'll help our friend outside."

With that, Matma slumped over as he channeled the power of Battle Meditation.

------------------

This is Matma Bernu, right now:

He is no longer just one. He was one in the Force. Matma- following in the footsteps of a many others- was channeling the Spirit of Victory. He can feel the Force, from the smallest atom. You can feel it's ebbs, it's flows. You can touch life, whisper, nudge. But he could only channel the power for oh so long.

But he has a job. He gathers himself to battle
The Abomination. It is a pale imitation of life that has the audacity to take life. The Abomination has no purpose, no goal- it just clings to it's facsimile of life aggressively, propagating itself at all cost.

Matma could feel The Abomination turn it's gaze toward him. Hungrily. Alone, he would shrink. Alone, he would whimper. But the Force was with him. And so he raged with the Sprit of Victory against The Abomination. The only sign of the battle was the husks erratic physical movements, moving erratically, slowing. His allies felt emboldened, energized. Ultimately, it was an attempt to buy time.

Mr. Orentho, or Mr. O in the realms of Intelligence had to admit that it had been quite the time since he last worked for the First Order. Still, they gave him a pretty ship, with one task, evac personnel from Imperial Station Krennic. It went without saying that the First Order would also work to evac their New Imperial friends as well. Still, he made contact with the team he was responsible for.
:: Good Evening, this is Captain Blue piloting your rescue with Imperial Starlines. Please prepare yourselves for departure from Station Krennic ::
The call went out to encrypted First Order channels, which left Matma Bernu Matma Bernu and Firenne Van-Derveld Firenne Van-Derveld to pick up the call. The ship Orentho had was an older ship, but it still did the trick when it came to making hasty escapes. It also helped that it was loaded with anti-air rotary ion cannons which helped with eliminating the rather bothersome mecha-space-zombie-things he was seeing all around the AO.

After the attempt to bring as many wounded from outside the medbay in, along with Major Quinn, Mitth'orn'eruod listened as a mayday call was sent for collection from the overrun vessel. With the last soldier in arm, the Chiss moved the young human to the back of the medbay itself, to be attended to by the medical staff. The sudden call from Captain Apollodor about more incoming enemies was met with a range of reactions from the defenders of the medbay - the heavy gunner called out, too, as the scratching and thumping in the overhead spaces was pointed out. The torrent of laser fire sent up into the ventilation was loud, long and unrelenting, as Mitth'orn'eruod saw the cyborg invaders above being cut down in swaths.

Mitth'orn'eruod reached for his own charric blaster again, as he had given the other to his partner, and began to join the attack on the ventilation system above with powerful blue maser bolts. For the moment it seemed the main entry had been ignored, thanks in full to the explosives set outside, as the creatures had sought another way into the medbay. Time was of the essence for the defending side, as the evac vessel was on route, as confirmed by a small message to Mitth'orn'eruod's datapad on his inner wrist sleeve. They just needed to hold on...

Explosions in the hallway?

The Chiss turned his attention back to the main entry, as the distant thumps of explosives was heard. They grew closer and louder, as though something had started to rush through the corridor, getting nearer. "Jedi Apollodor, hold the main entry with me," Mitth'orn'eruod shouted, as he started to rush across the medbay. "The heavy gun has the ventilation covered, though I suspect the enemy have now decided to rush us..."

And no sooner had Mitth'orn'eruod reached a forward position behind cover, with a clear view of the main door, that several creatures emerged to peer through the opening. The Chiss raised his charric blaster and started to fire, as he sought the weak points noted by the group with the blue bolts, as the threat of being swarmed from two angles grew more and more likely...

"I am with you."

Though Nylea did not shout, Thorne was able to hear Nylea clearly. Even that short moment of pure connection to the Force had reinvigorated her, allowing the echani to be a conduit for the Force and its many applications. From the relatively quiet corner she quickly moved to the main entrance, joining the chiss' side as the creatures began their next assault. Not often was Nylea a warden of the defenseless in such a direct manner, but it remained part of the Jedi way.

The moment Thorne's blaster fired, Nylea's silver blade sprung to life, the sounds harmonizing near-perfectly. She stepped forward as one of the cybernetic monstrosities burst through and leapt towards her, but with a broad sweep of the lightsaber it lost a limb for its troubles. With a sidestep Nylea dodged the pounce and after she quickly turned, the tip of the blade was swiftly planted into the top of its head.

"Keep firing. I shall protect you from any creature that gets too close," Nylea told Thorne as she retook her defensive stance, waiting for the next creature that tried to slip through the cracks of the blaster fire hurled at them.

They seemed without number. A legion of metallic monstrosities that still endeavoured to claw at and kill humans even as they were blasted apart. He went through his first magazine and then a second before he even realised it. Slamming in a fresh one, he could see they were barely making a dent in their numbers. For every cyborg they shot, another one took its place.

He didn't have time to ponder that particular equation for too long which was just as well because it was a losing one. He just picked his targets, aimed, and fired. In between he'd get a couple of seconds break when he reloaded. They were just swarming them, from the ventilation shafts and main door, moving with grim determination. It was like they knew that their prey was planning to leave. This was their last ditch to massacre the lot of them before the First Order escaped.

"D'arvit" he swore as the wave of attackers became a flood. It seemed they'd figured it out too. There were only so many blasters defending the medbay and they could only hit so many at the one time. The cybernetics were determined to overwhelm them. The last few survivors would have the thrill of rending apart the humans.

Something moved like quicksilver, more reptilian than human. It launched from the doorway, landing on the wall and skittering along it sideways. Caio screamed and backpedalled, his blaster bolts following its trail but the beast was just too fast-

Brask'ari'sabosen had her back to the trauma room door when Captain Matt the Radar Tech Matt the Radar Tech returned with what hopefully she had asked for previously. She turned her dark head after hearing the Chiss set down the blaster nearby on a metal tray; careful not to purposely interrupt her work. "Thank you," Ari smiled ever so over her shoulder with an appreciative glow of her red eyes flashing at Mitth'orn'eruod as he didn't disappoint, then quickly the blue-skinned doctor went back to treating the grievously wounded patient on the medsled before her.

News of a rescue attempt gave the crew held up in the medbay a flicker of hope, though when Elisea Apollodor handed her a supply of triage tags the parameters of said mission were clear. The rescue would be limited to only those that were deemed survivable.

So when fellow doctor, Fevris Derzelas Fevris Derzelas , presented a box of blue-filled syringes to Brask'ari'sabosen, she gave the CMO an affirmative nod. It meant the medical personnel was to euthanize the black tag patients who were too far gone to save. It was comfort care at its best as the potent drug would relieve any pain they might be experiencing while death would soon take them to a better place. It was a logical and ethical plan of care from a certain point of view, though still was the most difficult task for any doctor to take part in as they took an oath to first do no harm.

Chiss were not known for their compassionate side, more pragmatic and emotionless, though Brask'ari'sabosen had learned to convey it when necessary perhaps to her detriment - well as a Chiss who believed in the ideals of the Red Flame any way... or did.

Suddenly Caio Caio , one of the soldiers helping to defend the medbay began yelling and firing his weapon at something moving extremely fast along the bulkhead. Brask'ari'sabosen reached for the CR 2 blaster that had been left for her by Mitth'orn'eruod, then anticipated where the Husk was headed, then pulled the trigger letting the semi-automatic rounds lay down a line of fire hopefully stopping it before the cybernetic creature entered the doors of the trauma room where she stood in its path between her and the injured crewmen...

NEW IMPERIAL ORDER

He took another draw of the sweetened herb as Enlil began his gentle prodding and interrogation to the First Order's true and candid view of the Galaxy, to which Yvarro was all but surprisingly keen to supply, even if it was a curated or a politicized response. For better or worse, such was the nature of the Imperial, certainly the 'old guard' of those espousing the pragmatic, authoritarian and hardnosed ideology shared between the two governments. The New Imperial Order had been far more brazen in declaring its allies and enemies, making it a polarizing and belligerent party on the Galactic stage, the First Order...far less so.

"The First Order, to my understanding has made clear of its stance at non belligerency in the Third Imperial Civil War. Though...one must confess, Miss Yvarro, that the First Order benefits far more from a New Imperial victory than a Sith Eternal one. The evolution of the Zambrano's ideology makes clear that their Galaxy is not one within which either of us belong, much contrary to the New Order. Something that is no doubt taken into account by those in power within the First Order." Irveric states.

"So then...the First Order desires a defensive pact, compiled alongside the trade which will be established and ongoing at the completion of our shared hyper lane...though that is where a problem arising in the near future most certainly exists, I am afraid."

"The Confederacy of Independent Systems, a nation which has played an active role in fighting the New Empire by proxy of the Zambrano's rump state alongside the Eternal Empire which has done much of the same will soon take up the space containing the path of trade between our two states...and thus, isolate the First Order from the rest of the Galaxy. Surely...the First Order has been proactive in these concerns and if so, what are the measures you all deem necessary to prevent this from occurring?"
Irveric inquires, leaning forward in his seat.

Rewashed air and the hum of battle, Ariel canted her head not just to hear the Sovereign Imperator out. No, she could hear something else and as she lifted her head. Ariel turned over her shoulder slightly, a hasty exit was going to be necessary - sooner rather than later. "Gentlemen, let us head out this way and we will most certainly continue this conversation, but I'm sure your feed is as clear as mine, Imperator. Your Majesty." The AO had been compromised.
"Now then," she continued to hear the man out and formulated her response, "please, believe me when I say that I am well aware of how the Sith Eternal, the Sith as a whole treat Imperials and other non-Force Users." However the Sith Eternals or any other Sith-led faction might believe, she would be there to prove otherwise. They would be escorted and greeted by members of the Needaine Guard part of the larger Royal Guard Division within the First Order's Army. "The Confederacy is a problem yes, you are correct and we have kept our eyes on the Eternal Empire..."
Guided toward the hangar, guards rushed ahead to secure the route.
"We do desire a defensive pact because it is not unknown that something will give in the Southern Systems." Ariel paused momentarily and waited for the route to be secure. She turned to face the Sovereign Imperator and replied plainly, "to go in without a plan, without a partner or without aid - would be asinine most especially if it comes down to exchanging blows with the Confederacy."
As for the answer, "and yes we have been proactive as you put it to ensure that we are not cut off from the rest of the galaxy."
"It is a delicate game that I must play while both the Eternal Empire and the Confederacy still live."
"For now, the First Order will remain an ever-vigilant, but Imperator."
"Once the Zambrano-led Sith Eternal has fallen, the vultures in the North will dive to pick at the carcass."
Even the vultures will have to fight for the right to live, Ariel surmised but the guardsmen were quite pertinent that she enter the shuttle, sooner rather than later. "We shall have to speak again, soon, soon I gather. For the winds whisper and tell the tale of death to the whose who follow Kalidan's hearth." A bow of respect and courtesy toward Enlil Enlil , "your majesty, a pleasure to meet you."
Ariel was ushered into the shuttle as the Needaine Guard rushed into their transports. Black Squadron arrived to provide escort as rescue ships arrived from hyperspace to evacuate both First Order and New Imperial Order members (should they wish for it) away from the AO.

Resurgent Narrative

The Cyberpsychos, the husks, the space-mecha-zombies were not vanquished so easily. It took an all-out delta-base-zero of the AO to kill off the savage beasts, but not before different personnel of the First Order were able to gleam various pieces of information from certain databases. Rescue ships and cruisers arrived to help obliterate what they could, starfighters were key in making sure nothing escaped the hellzone.

As for the hyperlane itself, the project would continue once the area had been deemed secure.

The project would serve to unite both Imperial nations through a single lane that would ensure goods and services were able to flow easily from one side to the other. The private conversations from the Imperials together remained such, and further conversations would be had once a more secure venue could be held. Together, the First Order and the New Imperial Order draw their relations closer even if just by a small margin.

Allowing the rest of the galaxy to continue on without much of a second glance.

Still...

Whatever created or caused these cybernetic creatures to appear - gives room to many questions, questions that would be left unanswered for the time being.
