learning the ropes(looking for a teacher)

Well she knew the basics of blocking so that was good, though it was time to end it in a fashion that would show her that there were lots of things she still needed to learn when it came to the force. "How about this!" Rexus suck his hand out and sent a soft force push to star away and towards a wall. He would test her abilities to tap into the force and use its powers. @[member="stardust"]

"Your enemy doesnt always play by the rules." dusting himself off Rexus chuckled and put the sword down. "Now we are going to go over some different techniques. And styles. Can you keep up with me?" Rexus asked his small student as he prepared to go over a few good lessons with a saber. @[member="stardust"]

"Okay we are going to learn some offensive combat." Smiling at the girl Rexus moved to the swords and held it tight. "Now let's get your form right."now moving over to star Rex began to position her. "Are you left or right handed?" shifting her body this was information Rexus needed to train his student. @[member="stardust"]

"Ah well then let's try this out then" grabbing a second sword Rex placed it in her other hand as he kicked her legs out slightly to adjust the girl. "You look like you can handle two so you can attack and block at the same time. Akimbo your swords and you can do a lot" chuckling Rexus had the girl in a natural fighting stance. "Ready?" he asked her @[member="stardust"]

"Now you don't want to force anything, you want your moves to be smooth and steady. You want to be able to strike perry and thrust while keeping a level head." taking his wooden training sword Rexus banged it up against star's then chuckled. "okay now I'm going to come at me. I want you to do a right hand block followed by a counter strike with the left sword. A slash then pull away with the right sword to come at me with a slashes" giving his student directions Rexus gripped his sword and aimed it down at the woman waiting for to block as he brought it down in a vertical motion. @[member="stardust"]

stardust blocked eith her right hand then swinged her left sword for a counter attack before jumping back and jumping forward slashing with both swords

Rexus watched his student do her thing, blocking the first counter attack Rexus lifted his blade up to parry the hit. Now it was time to show her something and teach her something that could one day save her life. Spinning in a circular motion Rex moved around star and placed the wooden blade of her sword against the back of her neck. "Don't jump too far into an attack like that, as a beginner it can leave you vulnerable. Keep it more to a lunge then a Jump as to not expose yourself." giving her the piece of advice he stepped back "What do you feel more comfy learning? Single or duel weilding?" he asked his student trying to get her in a comfy stance @[member="stardust"]

Rex smiled back and stepped back some. "Now let the force flow through you and your moments. Be the stone in the river. Don't fight the current but let it simply flow." Taking his woodens sword he readied himself to teach the girl another weapon. "You have two swords, learn to multi task" taking his blade he lunged forward for a soft but quick stab towards star dusts stomach seeing how she would react @[member="stardust"]

stardust calmed herself ans closed her eyes feeling his movement through tge force, sidestepping stardust hit his blade to tge ground befote swinging for his mid section

With his other hand Rex reached out and caught her blade, "If this was a saber you would be dead." holding out his gloved hand Rex had a Cortosis glove on his hand. A metal capable of shorting out the blades of lightsabers by touching them. "Learn to scan your opponent, see what he is using and how you can use it to your advantage. It's all about flowing and observing, don't close your eyes but use the force to help you see." giving the girl some lessons Rex backed up and smiled "Okay, now do you know how to tap into the force by your own will?" he asked @[member="stardust"]

"Listen, you are strong. I can sense it in you. Now let's work on a few more saber techniques. Then after lunch we can meditate in the garden and see how we can access your force powers. Sound good?" Rex wanted to ease the girl into this. There was only so much you could teach in a day and he didn't want to overload her with too much information. It was best to teach a day to her than cram a months worth of information into one sitting @[member="stardust"]

"Now the key to any successful duel style is combining strength and speed. Now you can move fast but be sure to have precision in your moves. Remember you are the rock going with the current not against it." Aiming his blade up he gave her another refresher "Remember to scan and observe your surroundings, they can help you. Even the smallest thing." smiling he now had to wrap a bow on it "Observe, flow, feel. Those are some strong fundamentals." @[member="stardust"]
