Private Learning the Language

Few people ever pay attention to the ground. Sure they walked on it, but other than that it was nothing to them. If the ground was dirty, Who cared? If it was hot or wet rough and pokey, just wear shoes. Few people ever pay attention to the ground, and that suited them just fine. Not so much, for Peaceful Chaos. In space, there was no ground to worry about. Here on planets however, they had to wade though the dust and debris of the long limbed - or more accurately, just limbed - species around them. This was why the day they came onto Cato's ship, they first cleaned off the floor.

It was little more than three weeks since the incident at the arena, and the Wyrru had found themselves hounded by slavers. To the point that they were unable to make their way to a nebula to replace their lost droid. Eventually they had called up Cato, the slave they had helped free, in hopes that he would help. It has now been little less than two weeks since they began to bunk with him, in an attempt to avoid slavers.

Footsteps could be heard in the room next door as the human in particular puttered around. The explorer could not hear the noise, and even if they could it wouldn't matter. Instead, they curled their sinuous body up tighter and basked in the glory of a lack of gravity, even if only temporary. The ships system would come back on soon, as having it off in one room while on in the others strained it if held too long. A pity, it would be nice to sleep without the cloying weight of gravity pressing down.

With a pull of the force, the wyrru made their way to the floor right as the alarm went off, signalling the return of gravity. The sound of scales on clean metal whispered trhough the room. Moments later, they appeared by Cato, pulling themselves up with the force to around eye level.
"Where do we go next?" It was a simple sentence, but they signed slowly nonetheless. Without the droid, they had to rely on the written form of basic and teaching the former slave the wyrru language along side regular sign language. It was a simple enough question, and the man should have an understandable, if broken answer.

The two of them had been traveling since joining up. Sometimes stopping to refuel and resupply, other times to attack slavers and slave markets, but always on the move. Their sketchpad was fit to burs will all the new entries. Drawings of flora, fauna, and several sketches of the human before them filled its memory banks.

Today was a day to refuel and resupply. What place would they land next? A swampy world with plenty of insect life? A frozen tundra with plants that grew a sort of warming fuzz? Maybe even another desert planet, with their water rich plants and nocturnal fauna. He had been to several dessert planets in the past, and the sand always got under their scales and irritated their skin.

Cato thought he understood the question. At least most of it. When he found freedom, he never expected that one of his first acts would be to learn a new language, yet here he was. If he understood, the snake wanted to know where they were to go next. It was a good question as Cato did not know the answer. Had he ever known the answer? He was free, but he had no plans in his life. It was like being born fully grown, and needing to have a plan for everything at once. He didn't know what he would become. Currently, killing slavers was a good enough job.

The duo had captured a ship from one of the first groups of slavers they met. Since then, they had travelled the galaxy, doing very few things. They had attacked several slaver outposts on various planets, and that was about it.

Cato tried to reply to the snake, speaking softly as he signed, "I do not know."

Then, he pointed to the ship's map. With his index finger, he pointed to Naboo, then their current location. Naboo was close enough, they would go there.

Before the duo had met up again, Cato had been to Naboo where he had an encounter with a run away slave. Perhaps there were more there that the duo could help. Otherwise, it was a very calm, peaceful planet. They could stay there, it was probably safe.

He looked back at the snake, and awaited a response.
