It had been tough spending time on Dathomir, it was by far the harshest environment she had lived on. Kashyyyk had dangerous creatures but the Silver Jedi housing was high enough in the trees that they were relatively fine. Naboo had been perfectly comfortable home world to live on, it was a privilege life there. Living with the Ascendancy for many years had been rougher but she was more skilled and was capable of handling most threats especially with her mentors nearby. Spending time on Coruscant, people were dangerous there but Dreidi never tended to worry much since she was a skilled warrior now. It was Dathomir, it had the dangers of creatures, people and harsh weather all wanting to kill you. However, spending time here, absorbing the history carved out, understanding the kinds of people that survived here, endured here, took control of their destinies here. It reminded Dreidi of all the things she needed to learn, to grow as a person and to become the best that she wanted to be.

Living here, connecting to the world in a way no one else could ever truly understand, it was a gift that Dreidi wished to gain insight on and she felt she was on the early steps towards that by being on Dathomir.

Seeking out witches, Nightsisters, people who would be able to teach her something more about Magick, it had been hard going. Few trusted her because she was part Jedi, even more distrusted her simply because she was an outsider. Dreidi was determined to show her skills, loyalty and dedication to the witches of Dathomir, to demonstrate that she was worthy of being taught and that she had the skills to be a strong and capable member of the covens. It didn't matter whether or not Dreidi was from this world, it should only matter whether she could survive it and become stronger for it. So, she stayed, in an area she knew was not safe from the creatures out there in her tent. Living the best she could from the scraps she could gather. It was known by most on the world that she was seeking out knowledge and requesting to talk to other witches. She only wished that someone would be kind enough to see her hard work and come judge her in person, see her persistence and dedication in action before writing her off.

She couldn't quit now!

As it happened, the young Jedi had chosen a location within the jungles that fell just near a migratory route for the great beasts of Dathomir. Nomadic witch covens who conducted their seasons by following the blooms of certain herbal and medicinal plants were moving at large through the vast and dangerous landscape of green. The grounds rumbled and trees shook at their coming, heralding a caravan of riders atop their many beastly mounts. Among them, a large and unusual creature moved with curious grace when compared to the lumbering gaits of the rancors or nydaks.

It stood nearly twice as tall as the rider affixed to its back, and rose even higher upon its hind legs when a cool breeze brought the scent of a stranger to its senses. The rider, a dark-skinned witch baring a gruesome array of scars across her face, intuitively leaned into her mount's wandering attention. Out here it paid to be on alert, as not every beast or witch was a welcome or friendly thing.

With a moment to exchange some words with another of the caravan, Loxa made her intentions known that she would ensure no surprises lay in wait for them. She and her beast moved on ahead, following the trail of Dreidi Xeraic Dreidi Xeraic 's scent.

Foraging around Dathomir was not always ideal. It was difficult to tell which floral was edible and what would kill you and she felt it was out of the question to hunt and kill beasts for meat. Mostly because she felt confident that the beast would slaughter if she attempted to hunt one down. There was little life on Dathomir that wasn't hellish or out to kill you. Kashyyyk had similar vibes from what she remembered of her childhood. There were plenty of warnings of dangerous creatures out there ready to attack you if you were not constantly vigilant. Dreidi might not have been masking her scent or Force signature so that people could find her if they were willing to teach her but it did not mean that Dreidi was unaware of her surroundings.

She had caught glimpses of a caravan of people moving not too far from her rough camp. Part of Dreidi wanted to go and welcome herself and state her intentions of training and learning more of the Nightsister and other clan ways of Magick. However, she also knew how on edge she could make others due to her connection to the Force and how many viewed Jedi and Sith. Even concealing her Lightsaber when she was wearing her witch garbs to ensure that no one would be easily able to tell she was a Jedi.

Hearing the approaching footsteps of a creature, Dreidi climbed the trees and shifted from one to the other. Keeping herself up high to seem in a superior position if a fight was going to break out. She called from the shadows, "hey! What are your intentions? If you mean to cause harm then leave now before things get out of hand!" Dreidi attempted to sound as dark and intimidating as she could possibly be.

Upon her beast the witch rode in silence, her senses alight and searching for the telltale signs of what lay up ahead of her. The pungent smell of a campfire's ashes was difficult to miss, while here and there the marks of someone or something trodding through the undergrowth, creating new passages where none existed before could be seen. The hunter noted the small size of them and decided that this entity was a person of smaller stature - but not necessarily of little threat.

At the sound of movement in the trees followed by a voice, the pair came to a pause. Few ideas on Dathomir were worse than threatening a witch who moved with an entire coven and their beasts across their own lands.

Loxa closed her eyes and focused her mind on the energy of the jungle surrounding them.

<<This One comes in peace,>> she pronounced in lilting Paecean, the native tongue of her people, <<step forth and pay tribute, no harm will come.>>
