Private Learn and Bonding Time

Aknoby was wearing his civilian clothes. He had warned Laphisto that the conversation was not about anything military or work-related, at least from the young man's point of view.

He knocked twice on the door before entering, and when he did, his eyes moved quickly as if searching for something new to see, and the way he entered did not seem like a subordinate but like family, which is how he felt with Laphisto. The dragon-man had found him in a situation that could have eliminated him or offered him something like charity and sent him away, but he did more than that. He brought him into the order, giving him a place and a purpose, discipline, and... watchful eyes like a father keeping an eye on a son who might have a stupid idea at any moment, which Aknoby couldn't deny.

He smiled and fiddled with one of the holomas that were more for decoration than actual use at the moment.

"Thank you for agreeing to talk."

He said, looking at Laphisto, who remained standing, curious and, as always, full of energy.

Laphisto

High Commander of the Lilaste Order
Laphisto sat behind his desk when Aknoby entered, the weight of recent engagements still lingering in the air like distant thunder. The office was orderly but not pristine; datapads, reports, and physical documents were stacked in disciplined rows across the surface, each bearing the quiet aftermath of command decisions. . At the sound of the door, he motioned calmly toward the chair opposite him, indicating that the boy should take a seat.

His heterochromatic eyes lifted from the spread of reports, one blue and one draconic green settling on Aknoby with measured attention. A faint, restrained smile touched his expression as he raised a curious brow.

"Of course, What is it that you wanted to speak about, lad?"

As he spoke, he gathered several sheets of paper and began filing them into a side compartment with deliberate precision. Despite commanding a military force as vast as the Lilaste Order, war did not excuse administration. Casualty confirmations, supply reallocations, damage assessments, commendations, disciplinary reviews victory or defeat alike generated its own quiet burden of documentation. Coming out of a battle only amplified it.

He slid one final report into place before leaning back slightly in his chair, giving Aknoby his full attention. Though the desk remained cluttered with the responsibilities of command, his posture conveyed patience rather than distraction.

The boy watched what Laphisto was doing for a few seconds and smiled slightly when he saw him relax.

"Ah, I'm curious. You've been alive for millennia, and I'm curious about your culture."

He spoke simply and directly, looking at him with a curious gleam in his red eyes and a slight smile.
His eyes wandered across the table and whatever was on it, giving Laphisto time to formulate a response
