  The story of Laura Reese started on an unknown planet she can’t remember, born to slaves for parents and raised alongside her twin sister. Their lives would have been doomed from the start, with no other future other than to be raised to work in some kind of labour until she died of fatigue. However fate has a twisted sense of humour, and they got a new chance at life.
  
  A young Hutt attacked the planet while looking for slaves for his army. A five year old Laura managed to get away with her parents in the chaos, but she and her sister were separated. She never saw her sister again as her parents and a bunch of other slaves got lucky and crammed into a freighter, flying off to freedom.
  
  They eventually found themselves in Sith space on the planet of Bastion… only for the New Imperial Order to eventually form and take over. Laura was fortunate enough to still be too young for the conflicts and her parents fortunate to have essential jobs. But they were unfortunate enough to bear witness to the wars fought almost right in their backyard. Conflict was all Laura saw no matter where she looked… only conflict but no healing.
  
  Inspired by the stories of Jedi and their “humanitarian altruism” as she called it, she decided to apply at the age of 18 for university as a medical student. She went out of her way to help others and once she was done with her first year, she went even further and applied to help a charity who was providing humanitarian aid across the galaxy in warzones.
  
  The charity was an amazing exposure for medical practice… but it also roped her into the conflicts she tried to fix. Due to this, and the fact that she was living in a militaristic state at war, she was enrolled and sent to boot camp in the Imperial Army in order to operate as a field medic.
  
  She had all but forgotten about her sister, and her parents were retired by the time she reached the age of 19. All she had was her motivation to help others and a desire to bring a little bit of light to such a dark and chaotic galaxy.​

  A kind and gentle soul born from a life of hardship. Laura is a soft-spoken girl with a heart of gold. She tries her hardest to help someone in need and very rarely expects anything in return for her help.
  
  She is inquisitive and her curiosity draws her out into the galaxy to learn more when local libraries or the holonet can’t suffice. Despite her job as a field medic, she despises conflict and tries to avoid it as much as possible, be it in her job or in her personal life. Her memories of her childhood and her parents’ teachings ingrained it into her that it is better to turn the other cheek. That fighting back will only make things worse.
  
  However, she isn’t incapable of getting rough at times. A passionate soul with a head on her shoulders, she will do whatever she can when in danger or when pushed beyond her very generous limits.​
