PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Lars Tursen is a tall and lean young adult male Kel Dor without any visible physical disabilities or scars. A natural wanderer who has experienced a wide variety of different extreme environments, Lars almost never wears the same outfit twice in a row and can be encountered in anything from shorts and a T-shirt to a full radiation suit. The only consistent articles of clothing that Lars wears are a amulet necklace gifted by his parents and an antiox breath mask to allow him to breathe in atmospheres outside that of his native Dorin.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Lars is a studious Kel Dor with a natural curiosity about life. Driven by a desire to protect living creatures unable to speak for themselves, Lars devotes himself to rigorous and thorough study of the biology of individual species and the ecology of planetary biomes, especially those most vulnerable to destruction. Rykar holds a deep compassion and sympathy for all living organisms, even "aberrations" such as Sithspawn.
Lars is fully committed to the Jedi path, embracing his responsibility as a Jedi Knight to utilize the light side of the Force for the betterment of the galaxy. Lars’ passion for life is expressed in his role as a Jedi Consular, where he specializes in the study of the living Force, preserving knowledge of ancient life and protecting Force nexuses from dark influence.

HISTORY
Lars Tursen was born on the Kel Dor homeland of Dorin in 873 ABY to a lower-middle class family. From a young age, Lars was fascinated by the contrast between the mostly barren, lifeless surface of Dorin and the thriving ecosystems on other planets, seeking to understand how these differences came to be. Lars’ parents would sometimes take him on trips offworld, where he experienced the true depth of life in the galaxy firsthand. It was during one of these trips, at the age of six, that he first exhibited his Force sensitivity. Seeing Jedi service as a way to improve his future while serving a higher cause, Lars' parents encouraged him to join the New Jedi Order affiliated with the late Galactic Alliance.
Reluctantly leaving his home and parents behind, Lars was picked up by a Jedi delegation and taken to Coruscant, the metropolis capital of the Galactic Alliance. At first, the young Lars struggled to adapt to his new surroundings and the countless stimuli of the galaxy’s largest ecumenopolis. However, by the age of eight, Lars was able to assimilate into the Jedi ranks thanks to the relative seclusion of the Jedi temples, meeting new friends, and having limited contact with his parents.
Over the next few years, Lars would undergo physical, mental, and spiritual training to prepare him for his ultimate task: the retrieval of a kyber crystal to create a lightsaber of his own. During this time, he uncovered a natural talent for the Sense aspect of the Force, which would refine into a virtual sixth sense as a Padawan. Ultimately, Lars was successful in passing the trials needed to acquire a lightsaber, rising to become a Jedi Padawan.
From ages 12 to 19, Lars served faithfully as a Padawan in the New Jedi Order, primarily assigned to complete scholarly work or aid in humanitarian crises. Only near the end of his time as a Padawan did Lars see active combat, engaging in several minor battles alongside other Jedi before at last his Padawan training came to an end.
Lars was knighted shortly before the New Jedi Order collapsed with the Galactic Alliance. Alongside many other former NJO Jedi, Lars sought refuge with the rising High Republic, joining the ranks of their Jedi Order as a Consular Knight.
