STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
▲ Close to Long Range: Dueling was always one of Laramie's strong points in his time at the Jedi academy. He is an extremely well trained close combatant. However, due to his position as a Jedi Sentinel, he has had to adapt to using things other than his lightsabers in order to remain in cover and effectively serve his role. To this end, he has been given extensive blaster training that ranges anywhere from a simple pistol to a sniper. He's not terrible with a knife either if the need arises.
▲ Hidden Essence: On top of not being the most force oriented jedi, Laramie is extensively trained in hiding his presence in the force. To the point that, while still able to be sensed, one will never be able to tell he's able to use the force unless he explicitly reveals it. He has learned to reflexively hide this, and does not have the signature of a force user until he decides to begin using any abilities.
▼ Two Way Street: Laramie has difficulties detecting the signatures of other force users, as his focus on hiding his own presence heavily muddles his ability to do so. He can do one or the other, but not both. When hiding his own presence, he is only able to detect the most intense of force presences.
▼ High Temps: Laramie is a nautolan halfbreed of some sort. Due to his aquatic adapted body needing to retain moisture to an extent that is higher than most biologicals, he will find deserts and other extremely dry environments to be problematic, as he loses his hydration at twice the speed.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Laramie, despite his job, is rife with many qualities that are extremely unbecoming of a jedi. He is a hedonist, through and through. Drugs, drinking, gambling, shiny treasures. He revels in it all with bright shimmering satisfaction, fully confident in the sentiment that he is a beautiful gift to the galaxy that deserves every bit of it. He's quick witted, smug, a tad lazy, and luminous as the sun while more than content to be the center of attention. Despite this, he's still perfectly polite and cordial to interact with, always happy to entertain a session of pleasant conversation.
Yet under all his vices, he cares for the people of the universe above all. He seeks to make the galaxy a better place for those who live in it, and is always dedicated to his role of doing such. Be it sharing some of the wealth he hoards with the needy or freeing the enslaved through a game of dice. Though he's more than happy to cut down the opposition if his more subtle methods fail.
