+Inspired by what little she remembered of her parents she put her mind to the task of becoming an ace pilot.
+From the beginning of her time at the temple Lao-ta threw herself into physical studies. Focusing on blade work and it's many forms. She extended this passion into the area of physical augmentation through the force, learning to increase her agility, strength, and resilience.
+Through her connection with the living force and Shamba's teachings on the verdant wookiee homeworld of Kashyyk, she has learned to connect with the life forces of those around her and sense the presence of most creatures.
WEAKNESSES:
-She still feels stress from her childhood tragedy and struggles with a fear of being deep underground.
- While she maintains a strong connection to the living force and has a sense for the life forces and minds around her she has never gotten the knack for manipulating minds with the force such as the jedi mind trick. She can sense, read, and even communicate impressions, but direct sway over someone's will has always eluded her.
-While clever, matters requiring prolonged deceit have always been a struggle for Lao-ta.
BIOGRAPHY:
Lao-ta was born on Corellia to a mother who repaired starships and a father who taught people to fly them. When she was six caught in a cave in with dozens of others her parents included and was the only survivor. The miraculous nature of her survival caught the attention of the jedi order and the new orphan found a home among the temple younglings. Over her years at the temple darkness from the tragedy faded from her and she found liberation in her ever growing connection to the force.
When she came of age to be given to a master she was introduced to Shamba the wookiee jedi who would oversee her path to knighthood. Together they saw the galaxy.
At 17 years old Lao-ta lost her master in a dogfight with a sith pilot during the course of freeing slaves. She went on to complete the mission, returning later to retrieve her master's body.
Shortly after she was permitted to take the trials and became a full knight. A decade later she searches the galaxy for secrets of the force and does her best to make her master proud along the way.
A few years ago she took a padawan. Their relationship pushed her to a more active role in the galaxy, eventually bringing her face to face with Darth Carnifex. The confrontation left it's mark on her in the form of lightning scars along her arms where she was forced to channel the sith lord's power away from her and her padawan.
She has since spent time searching for force nexus' and plumbing the esoteric aspects of the force. Learning light side powers like force light and even questionable ones like emerald lightning.
The peace of her studies and the training of her padawan have been regularly disturbed by the ever growing war between the Galactic Alliance and the Sith Order, and the seemingly endless battle and death have left her disillusioned with the current status of the New Jedi Order. As a newly minted master she has recently withdrawn herself from the frontlines and missions for the Jedi. Opting to study with a monklike focus the deep mysteries that the wild and powerful places of the galaxy have to offer. Seeking places lost to time where the Force has left lasting marks and learning all she can of them.
