SPECIAL FEATURES

• Five-Cell Charge Bank: Five independent power cells sit behind brass shutters, each with its own small indicator light. A cell is drawn from until it is spent, then the next slides into line, and a spent cell can be replaced without discarding the rest of the bank.

STRENGTHS

• Fight-stopping at personal range: The heavy bolt reliably defeats unarmored boarders and light body armor, making it a dependable backup when a primary weapon is empty, fouled, or too large to swing in a passage.
• Works when the helmet does not: Charge state is visible on the weapon itself through its indicator lights, so it does not rely on a helmet display or comm link. That matters when HUDs are blinded by ion or EMP disruption.

WEAKNESSES

DESCRIPTION

The Landfall Service Blaster Pistol is the Imperial Commonwealth Marines' standard sidearm. Until its introduction, Marine boarding teams and Commando units drew the Army's Maraki or the Navy's Harbor, both designed for roles that do not reward what Marines do: fighting through a hatch, a passage, or a hold where the primary weapon is empty, fouled, or too large to swing. Developed by Dosuun Defense Solutions, the Landfall is built for that moment and for very little else.

Its heavy, slab-sided frame is designed to be carried against the thigh and fired through a gauntlet. It fires a single, fixed heavy bolt, and its five-cell bank sits behind brass shutters with an indicator light for each cell, so a Marine or a squad-mate can check charge at a glance without a display or a comm link. Doctrine expects that, in the worst compartment on the worst day, some of the ship's systems will be disrupted. The Landfall is meant to be the one thing that still works and can be read at a glance. It is not a symbol of authority carried openly, like the Maraki. It is issued to be used.

The name is doctrinal. Landfall is the moment a landing force first sets foot in contested space, and the pistol is what a Marine is expected to have in hand when they do. It is heavy, slow to reload, and exposed where its cell bank meets the world, and Marines say so freely. Among the boarding crews who carry it, its reputation is plain: it is not elegant, and no one who carries it has ever asked it to be.
