OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To create a mount for [member="Cay-Yo"] as the MVP and Prisoner of War from the Invasion of Copero.
  • Image Credit: Link & [member="Darth Tacitus"] for the Divider
  • Role: Mount
  • Links: [member="Cay-Yo"]
PHYSICAL INFORMATION
  • Age: 4 Galactic Standard Years
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
  • Species: Gizka
  • Language: Mostly hissing, yipping, and a low throttle of vocal cords that causes a purring reverb.
  • Appearance: Like most Gizka, Lancelot has a squat frame with sturdy legs that are made for agile movements. The Gizka has rounded predatorial eyes that are a deep shade of burnished orange. With thick, onyx shaded skin, the Gizka seems to be a rather remarkable creature. Although most of its skin is jet black it also has some accents of amethyst piping and patches along its body. This coloring can also be observed around its eyes.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Name: Lancelot
  • Loyalties: The Confederacy {[member="Cay-Yo"]}
  • Notable Possessions: Tiny Riding Harness
  • Personality: Lancelot is rather active for a Gizka though it still does enjoy lazing idly about. The diminutive mount displays especially warm behavior, as well as loyalty, toward its master. Though he is very well trained to obey commands Lancelot can appear snappy and defensive toward others that it does not know. This is especially true if he believes they the strangers may be trying to harm Cay-Yo. Otherwise, Lancelot is mostly mild in temperament and enjoys spending his down time lounging in small, dark areas that are nice and cool. As long as he doesn't feel cornered, or that Cay-Yo is in trouble, he is content to let any other non-threatening creatures reside nearby without fear. This beast is actualy rather large for its species, standing at least a foot off the ground, and weighing in at about sixteen lbs. This particular Gizka has also been genetically modified so that it will only seek out one mate if circumstances allow. He does not have the drive or the capability to continuously reproduce at the extreme rates that Gizka are known for.
  • Training:
Mount Up: This particular Gizka was bread to serve as a mount for species that are in need of special accommodations due to a their smaller statures. He has been genetically modified and trained so that he serves as the perfect steed and companion. This small Gizka can run at a good clip for an extremely long time before he will tire. Even then, he can keep up a steady trot for hours after that. Compact and speedy, he is the ideal mode of land-based transportation for warriors that are slight of frame.

COMBAT INFORMATION
  • Combat Function:
Jaws of Death: This little guy may look completely harmless, but, don't wave your hand around in his face unaware. Gizka are omnivores that prefer grain and leaves, but, they can eat almost anything. Including your fingers that look like fat little snausages. Lancelot may use these little sharp teeth in defense of his master or if he feels uneasy.
  • Headbutt of Fury: Lancelot is tiny, compared to most bi-pedal organics, but he knows how to use his head. Literally. He can race forward, build speed, and knock an enemy in the shins like no tomorrow. This can leave him a little dazed and with a bit of a headache.

Strengths:
  • Fast: Lancelot is exceptionally quick, even for a Gizka. Thanks to his genetic modifications he can maintain a steady pace for hours after a sustained sprint. Physically, he was designed to be able to move easily while carrying the burden of a rider, without exhausting himself too easily.
  • Terrain Master: There are not too many terrains that this Gizka cannot get past or through. His legs allow him to jump rather high in the air to clear a good deal of obstacles and sometimes he's small enough to slide right through small openings. Either way, he is very capable of getting through difficult and inhospitable areas.
Weaknesses:
  • Size: Regardless of how capable Lancelot is, he is still a small beast, especially for a mount. It would not make him easier to catch or notice, however even at his top speeds he could not contend with a mount of full size.
  • Weight Limit: This mount cannot be used by robust warriors, as they will crush him, and does have a cap on how much he can actually carry along with his rider.
  • Bark and No Bite: Lancelot was not designed to wage war. It is true that he might gnaw on the occasional finger or toe, but truly, he does not pose much of a threat to most standard sized individuals. His services as a mount and companion are really the extent of his abilities, which, leaves him fairly inept in real combat situations. Sometimes, the best thing to do is play to his strengths, and run away.
  • Gizka Poison: Though Lancelot is bigger than most of his species, he can still be hurt, or killed, by large amounts of Gizka Poison.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Following the battle of Copero and the Confederate victory in that system, [member="Cay-Yo"] was taken prisoner by the CIS to be questioned. His knowledge of and affiliation with the Jen'ari Empire spared his life and made him a valauble asset instead of another casualty. Following interrogation and a threat assessment evaluation with [member="Scherezade deWinter"] and [member="Srina Talon"], Cay-Yo was officially released into CIS territroy. His first sights of the new world he stood on, Geonosis, would lead him to an extensive debriefing in the main governmental building referred to as the Citadel. Once the small Patitite was cleared by the Exarchs and given the opportunity to prove himself he was gifted the Gizka mount, Lancelot, to traverse the bustling capital of Golbah City more easily.

The young Gizka had been intended for any warriors who were considerably smaller than others. This seemed to be the perfect way to test the slightly modified variant and analyze their effectiveness in the field. Lancelot is built for endurance and meant to be utilized by scouts, or warriors, as he will prove to be compact and very speedy. It might startle Cay-Yo at first by how fast the Gizka can zip through the city streets.

The Exarch's decided, unanimously, that although Lancelot was not intended for Cay-Yo originally - A better pair could not be found. The slightly snappy Gizka warmed up to the tiny warrior almost instantly. He would be seen following commands, protecting, and deferring to his master without hesitation. Thankfully, all that training, seemed like it was about to pay off in the adventures to come.
