NAME: Lamia Genarik
FACTION: Who knows?
RANK: N/A
SPECIES: Arkanian offshoot
AGE: 25
SEX: Female
HEIGHT: 5 feet 3 inches
WEIGHT: 110lbs
EYES: Mercury silver
HAIR: White/silver with dark grey undertones
SKIN: Rosy but pale
FORCE SENSITIVE: Unfortunately

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
  • Force Is Strong With This One - Lamia's midichlorian counts are well above average found in most Force users, placing her in top tier Light and Dark siders in Star Wars universe. Her understanding of the Force is intuitive, rather than learned. Her control over the Force is rudimentary at best, having recieved no formal instruction to harness this potential.
  • Bookworm - A life of imprisonment made Lamia into an avid reader, with unquenchable thirst for the written word. Her only window to the outside world were the books and scrolls brought to her.
  • Down the Drain - Natural aptity in the Force drain technique, where life force is sucked out of the target by sheer will of the practitioner. Overall effect depends on size, age, resilience of subject at hand as well as resilience if the subject is a FU. Close physical contact with victim is required or at least she thinks so. Upon retrieval, life force is dissipated into the surroundings.
  • Infrared vision - Like all Arkanians, Lamia sees well in darkness, especially in the infra red spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. This allows her to identify heat signatures of living beings in darkness.
  • Gifted Musician - Lamia plays the Hapan Lute with almost absolute perfection and has written numerous pieces for the instrument since she first started playing it at tender age of 6.
  • Slave to Subconscious - Lamia has no conscious control over potentially deadly Force drain. It may be activated at any time, with Lamia unable to stop it. Also, subjects tend to somehow be drawn towards her, even if she actively tries to evade physical contact.
  • Life of Seclusion - Since Force drain requires physical contact, Lamia has spent most of her life incarcerated for her own and the safety of others. She is usually locked away in her quarters and travels rarely, often in a cage with dense woven bars to prevent anyone from touching her.
  • Blind in Brightness - Due to faint light from their prime star, Arkanians are extremely sensitive to bright light and need to wear protective eyewear on most planets which do not revolve around dwarf star
  • A Frail Flower - Lamia's diminutive size and frail physique make her ill-suited for any type of combat. Having spend a lifetime indoors, she never got the chance to improve her physical prowess.
APPEARANCE:
Lithe figure always clad in long grey gowns, with long pearly coloured hair often arranged into a braided bun. Her hands are always gloved, to provide protection for those in her vicinity. More often than not, she covers her face and hair as well, especially if travelling, to hide a pair of distinct, pointy ears from plain sight.

PERSONALITY:
In the alignment matrix, Lamia would fall somewhere between True Neutral and Neutral Good(leaning more towards the former than the latter). Due to her "condition", she is in constant state of chronic depression. On the Four temperaments test, she would score as melancholic - an introvert with a meek personality. Generally, she is a deeply unhappy individual who sees her extraordinary gift as a curse.

BIOGRAPHY:
Lamia was born on Arkania, adopted planet of Arkanian species, now in neutral space. The identity of Lamia's mother is unknown, a well-kept secret of Genarik family. Her stepmother Jasyna and father Yion were relatively wealthy merchants trading in Arkania's most prominent export - diamond crystals. A careless childhood was interrupted by a tragic accident; when Lamia was six years old, she accidentally Force drained her newborn baby brother, after seeing the new child get much more attention than she thought it deserved. Parents were devastated by the loss of their formal heir, as well as by the fact that Yion's own daughter, albeit unintentionally, killed her step-brother.

As a punishment, stepmother locked the girl away, condemning her to a life of solitude. Apparently, it was more important to maintain family reputation instead of helping Lamia who drowned in guit and self-doubt for almost two decades. Lamia's stepmother arranged for the girl to be home schooled, justifying this by a mysterious "illness" that prevented Lamia from venturing into the world. Having shown special talent in music, Lamia was instructed by some of the finest professors of music in the galaxy who ventured to the frozen homeworld of the Arkanians to teach the budding musician and child prodigy. Yion, on the other hand, ordered a special cage to be made for his daughter so she could travel offworld, especially as Lamia grew into quite a talented lute player and recieved many invitations to play across the galaxy. However, her rise to stardom abruptly ended when her ship was attacked by pirates along the Hydian Way as shereturned to Arkania from a perfomance on Denon. The attack destroyed the vessel, while Lamia was captured by pirates. The pirates had contacted Yion to ask for a ransom, but Lamia's father ignored their calls. Lamia thus became a slave, serving drinks and sometimes playing the lute aboard a nameless vessel filled to the brim with the worst of galactic scum. One night a Kiffar who served as first officer on the decrepit pile of junk they called a ship wanted some company for himself after chewing a few deathsticks and slid his coarse hand underneath Lamia's ragged skirt and up her thigh, only to be instantly drained of life and turned into a dry husk of organic material. The captain was both perplexed and mesmerized, having never witnessed such sorcery. And then it struck him - for he was somewhat of a slow fella - that this girl could do this to all of them, if she wanted. But she didn't, something was stopping her. He was not really interested in intricacies of Lamia's life; in his eyes, she was dangerous. But also probably very valuable, so he tossed her into the cargo bay with crates of smuggled goods and then put out an ad across the criminal underworld - he has some very special cargo to sell.
