ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Flying armory: The Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is a veritable flying armory, coming equipped with laser cannons, mass-driver cannons and proton torpedo launchers.
  • Heavily armored: As is befitting of its role, the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is heavily armored and capable of sustaining major damage while still being able to fly.
  • Relatively maneuverable : For a ship of its size, the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is surprisingly nimble, thanks to its adjustable shuttle wings.
  • Close air support: the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator excels in providing close air support to friendly ground forces.
  • Capital ship killer: Additionally, the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is highly effective against capital ships, thanks to its mass-driver cannons and proton torpedo launchers.
  • Angles of fire: Due to the way that the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is designed, it is capable of engaging multiple targets at once, from top to bottom and front to back.
WEAKNESSES
  • Slow moving: Due to its numerous weapons and heavy armor, the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is a relatively slow moving ship, making it unable to outrun enemy starfighters.
  • Danger close: The Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator was designed to support friendly infantry and armor. As such, it is often seen targeting ground units in close proximity to allied forces, creating an increased risk of friendly fire.
  • Air magnet: Because it is often engages in low altitude warfare, the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is especially vulnerable to enemy anti-air defenses and even certain ground units, as it tends to attract a large volume of fire.
  • No passengers: The numerous amounts of weapons on board the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator prevent it from carrying additional passengers.
  • Maintenance nightmare: Like many Mahporeem designs, the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is built from a number of different ships. This can make acquiring spare parts a difficult task.
DESCRIPTION

In preparation for their upcoming campaign against the Sith Order, the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant has begun the long and arduous process of reorganizing their ground, aerial and naval forces. In doing so, Mahporeem has quickly discovered that they are woefully unprepared for a major ground invasion of Sith held space. To rectify this situation, Mahporeem has begun designing a number of new vehicles and spacecraft for use in their current and future campaigns.

One of these designs is the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator. Like many designs originating from Mahporeem, it too is a combination of different ships and ship parts: the YT-1760 Small Transport, the Lambda-class T-4a Shuttle and the TIE/sa Tactical Bomber. The idea behind this particular model was to create a gunship capable of engaging a variety of different targets in both space and inside a planet's atmosphere.

The Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator performs this task admirably, thanks to the potent and varied weapons that it carries. In additional to a number of heavy blaster and laser cannons, the Lambda-class YT-1760 also possesses a pair of heavy mass-driver cannons and four proton torpedo launchers. This armament allows the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator to engage nearly any conceivable type of target. It is also heavily armored, to fully maximize its destructive potential.

Of course, the Lambda-class YT-1760 Annihilator is quite vulnerable to enemy starfighters, due to its low speed and mediocre maneuverability. Though the craft possesses more than enough weapons to defend itself, it was not designed to combat such small and nimble targets, and should always be sent into battle with a starfighter escort if possible.
