DESCRIPTION

The Lambda-class T-4a Shuttle remains a popular choice of ship with the Mahporeem Imperial Remnant, other Imperial breakaway factions and independent spacers, and has often been extensively modified to perform roles never envisioned by its original designers. Yet, though an important ship, the Lambda-class Shuttle remains somewhat limited in the amount of cargo that it can carry at any given time. The solution to this problem became the Lambda Cargo Pod.

A very simple upgrade to the ship, the Lambda Cargo Pod sits neatly underneath the hull of the vessel, and can be attached to any Lambda-class Shuttle with little to no modifications to the ship itself. Each pod possesses an internal volume of about 90 cubic meters, which is about the same as a Semi-Truck Trailer. Combined with the ships internal storage, this gives the Lambda-class Shuttle a respectable amount of room to carry all manner of supplies and equipment.

The pod only works on Lambda-class Shuttles or ships with Lambda-class Shuttle hulls, and cannot be retrofitted to other models of ship. Furthermore, any shuttle carrying a cargo pod is more likely to be targeted by enemy forces as a priority target in order to deny resupply attempts or to instead steal whatever cargo the ship might be carrying at the time.
