APPEARANCE: Laine is a pretty woman in her mid twenties with strong features and a fairly stern appearance. She carries herself well and appears tall. Her hair is shoulder length and curly but almost always worn up in a regulation haircut. Laine has an Imperial tattoo on her right deltoid and a Galidraani rose tattooed on her waistline.
BIOGRAPHY:
Laine Gowrie remembers her childhood fondly, the passion her parents had for each other filtered down to her and her siblings in the best possible way and gave them the confidence to leave the nest and pursue very fulfilling careers.
Laine for her part decided to join the Imperial Navy and with her high school grades, she was granted a place at an officers academy on Galidraan. She enjoyed her time there and was given her first posting immediately once she graduated. As a new officer she was likely to be offered low level postings on tiny corvettes, but she quickly found herself as an officer on light capital ships.
Her most recent posting is aboard the NIV Parmelian Warden Valiant Class as its first officer. A very recent promotion into a role she has held for less than a month.
When not on duty, Laine enjoys Galidraani classical music and theatre but other cadets got her quite into several sports during her time in the academy and sitting in her quarters watching a light ball game immediately takes her back to those days. She chooses to avoid alcohol after watching one too may people she cares about wrestling with that demon. But does still enjoy the social comradery of gatherings where it is consumed.
