Description: As many hold-out blasters, these little weapons are used mainly in surprise attacks or in self-defense, extremely easy to operate and conceal. These hold-outs are manufactured in two styles, military and civilian.
Civilian models do not differ much from their earlier counterparts seen throughout the Galaxy, they are easy to conceal, they fire only 6 shots, and they are relatively weak. While they can cause burns and severe pain, it takes multiple shots from them to kill a person, making them perfect as mass-produced self-defense weapons for civilians.
Military models, on the other hand, while being much more restricted, have received upgrades from their older versions. Mainly, the power and number of shots in each blaster has been increased, knocking up the 6 shots from civilian model to 12 shots in military models, and enabling, due to advances in technology, the military models to rival normal-sized blaster pistols.
Smaller size comes with drawbacks, of course, these hold-out blasters are not capable of automatic fire, and their ammo capacity will always be considered when compared with standard blasters. However, many consider that to be worth it when compared with the ease of concealment these weapons present.
